C112 The Seventh Move Dismembering the Past!!

After Lie Huo's demise, a hush fell over the scene once more.

Several moments passed...

"Look, Qin Buyi is moving."

"Yes, he's moving..."

Exclamations erupted from the students and teachers surrounding the arena.

Through his own eyes, Qin Buyi watched Lie Huo's death unfold as if it were a scene from a movie.

He then observed the red Killing Intent within him, gradually stabilizing his near-fatal injuries.

The lack of movement earlier was due to the red Killing Intent working to heal him.

Given that Killing Intent is inherently about destruction, it was ill-suited for healing purposes.

Even with Honglian's exceptional realm, it only managed to just barely stabilize Qin Buyi's internal injuries after several breaths.

To fully recover, Qin Buyi would need to seek out healing elixirs from the System Mall.

"Qin Buyi!" He slowly lifted his head, fixing his gaze on Wang Chengfeng below the arena.

"Zheng!"

"Zheng!"

The Killing Saber resonated with a series of metallic rings.

Wang Chengfeng felt a chill envelop his entire body as if he had been plunged into an icehouse.

Under "Qin Buyi"'s intense stare, it seemed as though his very blood might freeze.

The formidable Killing Intent radiating from "Qin Buyi" was palpable.

Wang Chengfeng realized that without taking action, death was imminent.

With a humble bow, Wang Chengfeng pleaded, "Great being, I believe there has been a misunderstanding."

"We were unaware that Qin Buyi is your chosen successor. The one responsible for grievously wounding your successor has met his end."

"We are prepared to offer restitution. Could we possibly put this incident behind us?"

Honglian remained silent, her lofty gaze upon Wang Chengfeng as if he were already a corpse.

A sense of dread washed over Wang Chengfeng, and he thought to himself, "Today may not end well. Could it be that I, Wang Chengfeng, will meet my end here...?"

Having spent considerable time with Honglian, Qin Buyi understood her thoughts well.

To Honglian, all those present were mere insects, unworthy of her attention.

These pests are nothing but a nuisance; why not just eliminate them?

As Honglian was poised to take over Qin Buyi's body and make her move, Qin Buyi's voice echoed in her mind:

"Honglian, leave Wang Chengfeng to me. I want to be the one to end him."

"The majority of the others are innocent; let's not drag them into this."

Qin Buyi's words weren't born out of weakness or undue compassion; he was simply addressing each issue in its own right.

Wang Chengfeng was the one seeking his death, all to curry favor with the First Prince and remove a potential threat.

The students and teachers spectating the duel bore no ill will towards him. Slaughtering them would only invite significant trouble.

It would implicate Ying Zhi and might even make it impossible for Qin Buyi to remain within the Ming Dynasty.

Qin Buyi had taken note of Ying Zhi's earlier actions. Truthfully, he hadn't anticipated Ying Zhi's willingness to spend 600 million Low-Grade Spirit Stones for his rescue.

This alone spoke volumes of Ying Zhi's character—a man of deep loyalty and integrity.

Considering Ying Zhi's previous attempts to convince him to leave, Qin Buyi's esteem for him had significantly increased.

Upon hearing Qin Buyi's request, Honglian's frosty voice conveyed a stark warning: "Qin Buyi, don't expect me to come to your aid again after this."

"Are you not ashamed that you can't handle an ant who hasn't even reached the Mahayana Stage?"

Qin Buyi found himself at a loss for words in the face of Honglian's rebuke.

To the outside world, a Combination Stage warrior holding his ground against a Half-Step Mahayana was nothing short of miraculous.

Yet to Honglian, this feat was trivial, and she even reproached him for not having slain his opponent.

Qin Buyi's pride was wounded by Honglian's blunt criticism, and he admitted dejectedly, "I understand..."

Honglian's tone softened slightly as she continued, "Next, I will demonstrate the seventh form of the Killing Saber Technique. Pay close attention."

Before Qin Buyi could even react, Honglian had already seized control of his body, executing the seventh form of the Killing Saber Technique.

In the outside world, "Qin Buyi" gripped the Killing Saber, his voice echoing across the martial arts arena:

"Killing Swordsmanship: Severing Ties of the Past!"

Twin beams of blood burst forth from the Killing Saber, hurtling toward Wang Chengfeng and Ying Ye.

Caught off guard, Wang Chengfeng and Ying Ye were powerless to react as the blood light penetrated their sea of consciousness.

Once inside, the blood light detonated, scattering and integrating into their sea of consciousness like countless stars strewn across the sky.

The once golden sea turned a deep crimson as the blood light infused within it.

Even the golden Divine Consciousness within began to stain with shades of red.

Back in the outside world, the eyes of Wang Chengfeng and Ying Ye lost their spark, becoming vacant and expressionless.

Wang Chengfeng, in a stupor, murmured, "Who am I? Where is this place..."

Similarly bewildered, Ying Ye gazed at his hands, murmuring, "Why can't I remember who I am..."

In that instant, two figures burst into the arena from outside.

One at the late Mahayana Stage, the other at the pinnacle of Mahayana Perfection.

Leading them was the elder at Mahayana Perfection.

Upon entering the blood-red aura of the arena, the elder's composed face betrayed his shock.

"The presence of an immortal... What on earth has transpired here?"

Looking up at "Qin Buyi" on the stage, the elder inquired, "Esteemed being, may I ask how the College of Ming Dynasty has incurred your displeasure?"

Honglian dismissed the elder's question, speaking through Qin Buyi:

"These two will regain their sea of consciousness in six months, at which time the true owner of this body will engage them in battle."

"I expect no surprises during this half-year period. Should any arise, your mortal realm need not continue to exist."

The elder was baffled, unable to grasp the unfolding events.

Yet, the reality was overwhelming. Confronted with "Qin Buyi's" formidable presence, he felt as though a savage prehistoric beast towered before him, leaving him utterly outmatched.

Despite his lack of understanding, the elder responded with utmost reverence, "Great being, as you desire."

Once the elder had spoken, the force of Honglian ebbed away from Qin Buyi's body like a receding tide.

Regaining control over his body, Qin Buyi's attention was captured by a blood-red speck of light within his sea of consciousness.

As his Divine Consciousness delved into the speck, Honglian's icy voice was the first thing to reach his ears:

"Considering that you've acquitted yourself well against a formidable foe..."

"I'll impart to you the seventh form of the Killing Saber Technique ahead of time. I don't want to witness you on the brink of defeat again."

Despite the chill in her voice, Qin Buyi felt a surge of warmth in his heart upon hearing her words.

Having fully assimilated the seventh form of the Killing Saber Technique, Qin Buyi gained an initial grasp of its essence, the Broken Past.

Like Soul Dispersing, the Broken Past was an attack of Divine Consciousness.

Yet, the Broken Past was far more fearsome; where Soul Dispersing brutally shattered one's sea of consciousness, the Broken Past insidiously infused the sea of consciousness with the gleam of the Killing Saber's blade.
