C12 Nascent Infant Fall!
The White Tiger's onslaught was relentless and fierce. In a rush, Qin Buyi braced himself with the Killing Saber across his chest for defense.
"Boom!"
A thunderous impact sent Qin Buyi hurtling through the air.
"Cough!"
His innards felt like they were shifting, and a burning sensation surged within.
Qin Buyi had barely risen from the ground when Tang Zhentian's next attack loomed over him.
"Tang Fist: Black Tiger Steals Heart!"
"Boom!"
He had just gotten to his feet when he was once again blasted away.
"Tang Fist: Fierce Tiger Descends the Mountain!"
"Boom!"
...
Time after time, he got up only to be knocked back down, the cycle repeating dozens of times.
Injured, Tang Zhentian became like a wrathful lion, his combat power surging exponentially.
Pain wracked every part of Qin Buyi's body, as if it were coming apart at the seams.
"So this is the true power of the Nascent Infant Stage? It's formidable," Qin Buyi silently acknowledged.
Dizziness washed over him, but he mustered his spirit with great effort.
His vision blurred, and blood poured from his wounds as if it cost him nothing.
"This is bad. If it continues like this, I'm a dead man!"
"There has to be another way out, a way to turn the tide. Get moving, body—no more passivity!"
"Kill him, kill the man before me! If I kill him, I can survive!"
"Kill! Kill! Kill!"
From above, four onlookers gazed down at Qin Buyi, who was being battered helplessly, like a ragdoll.
Wang Zong, with a touch of pity in his voice, remarked, "Ah, what a shame. If only he hadn't been so impetuous, so blinded by the prospect of victory, he surely could have advanced to the Nascent Infant Stage."
Wang Zhirou, fraught with urgency, pleaded, "Father, you must intervene, save him! If this continues, he'll be slain!"
Wang Zong shook his head, "Zhirou, everyone must face the consequences of their choices. It's folly to take on the Nascent Infant Stage at the Golden Core Stage. To save him would be to incur the wrath of the Tang family—simply not worth it."
Wang Zhirou's heart skipped a beat at her father's words. She turned to look at Huang San.
Huang San shook his head and remarked, "To have held his own against the Nascent Infant Stage is no small feat. He's certainly a genius, but he still falls short of my ideal standard."
Nan Tianlong took his cues from Huang San, and with Huang having already dismissed the notion, Tianlong naturally wouldn't consider acting against Huang's wishes.
Wang Zong announced, "Let's move on. The outcome is clear."
After a long, contemplative gaze at Qin Buyi, Huang San heaved a deep sigh, "Ah..."
As the group prepared to depart,
"Kill Tang Zhentian! He must be killed!"
A multitude of thoughts coalesced into a single command: "Kill!"
"Tang Fist: White Tiger Carrying the Corpse!"
Boom!
Blown away once more.
"Cough!"
Qin Buyi coughed up a mouthful of blood, tinged with fragments of his innards.
He swayed to his feet, his consciousness fading.
An indomitable will to survive and an intense thirst for vengeance converged.
The snow-white blade of the Killing Saber, gleaming with a frosty light, began to show a hint of black and red at its center.
The ominous hue spread rapidly across the blade, which now appeared eerily demonic under the moonlight, radiating a fierce desire to kill.
Simultaneously, a similar black and red shade emerged in Qin Buyi's eyes, swiftly overtaking his vision.
In his semi-conscious state, he thought he heard an indistinct voice, neither male nor female, sneering, "Kid, that's not how you wield a blade."
The four above, save for Wang Zhirou who lacked any cultivation, peered intently below.
"Hold on, there might be a twist yet," Huang San interjected.
Wang Zong, with a grave look, observed, "Such potent killing intent. Even at this distance, it's as if I can smell the blood."
Nan Tianlong spoke with a stern tone, "This killing intent brims with chill, madness, and a lust for blood. How many lives must be taken to forge such a fearsome aura!"
For the first time, Huang San's demeanor was anything but relaxed as he fixed his gaze below, "This is the killing intent that I find so daunting, and it's even more perilous than when I last encountered it. Mr. Qin, what secrets are you harboring?"
"Tang Fist, White Tiger..."
In the midst of his assault, Tang Zhentian found his attack abruptly halted mid-air by the gravely injured Qin Buyi, who was teetering on the brink of death. With an icy tone, Qin declared, "Now, it's my turn."
Despite several attempts to break free, Tang Zhentian was trapped; Qin Buyi's grip was unyielding, like a vice.
"How is this possible?" Tang Zhentian's face registered utter shock.
Qin Buyi's eyes, now a swirling mix of black and red, radiated a murderous aura so intense it sent shivers down one's spine.
The almost tangible killing intent seemed to conjure visions of mountains of corpses and seas of blood before Tang Zhentian.
"Who... Who are you?" he stammered.
The face was familiar, yet the presence of Qin Buyi was so menacing that Tang Zhentian felt an overwhelming urge to flee from what seemed like an unspeakable horror.
With an air of nonchalance, Qin Buyi raised his fist—the same hand that had ensnared Tang Zhentian—and landed a seemingly effortless punch.
"Boom!" "Boom!" "Boom!"
Tang Zhentian was sent hurtling through the air as if struck by a high-speed train, flying over a hundred meters before violently crashing to the ground.
"Bang!"
The impact sent the green brick pavement radiating from Tang Zhentian's point of impact into a spiderweb of cracks extending over twenty meters.
Above the Tang family estate, Wang Zong's eyes bulged with disbelief. "How... How is this possible! I couldn't even send old Tang Zhentian flying that far with a single punch!"
Huang San and Nan Tianlong remained silent, their gazes fixed intently on the scene below, lost in thought.
"Cough!"
Tang Zhentian expelled a mouthful of blood, his clothing shredded to tatters, resembling a beggar's rags.
"What... What kind of monster is this?!" he thought in terror. The bloodlust and madness in Qin Buyi's attack had felt like a descent into hell itself.
"Whoosh!"
With a light tap of his foot, Qin Buyi closed the hundred-meter gap in an instant, appearing before Tang Zhentian.
"This... What kind of speed is this! I can't even match it!" Tang Zhentian's mind reeled in confusion, unable to fathom how Qin Buyi, on the verge of death, had suddenly become so formidable.
"Despite his aura clearly being at the Golden Core Stage... why... why can't he even stand against someone at the Nascent Infant Stage?" Tang Zhentian inwardly questioned.
Qin Buyi, gripping the black and red Killing Saber, towered over Tang Zhentian and whispered,
"Killing Swordsmanship: Slaughter!"
To the naked eye, the Killing Saber appeared unchanged, yet upon closer inspection, it was vibrating at an incredibly high frequency, rendering it seemingly motionless.
"He's out of his league."
Tang Zhentian struggled to speak, sensing that if the blade were to strike him, his death was certain.
"Slash!"
Qin Buyi, standing his ground, made several cutting motions through the air towards Tang Zhentian as if he were a child doodling.
"Shh!"
"Ah!"
In a flash, blood sprayed, and Tang Zhentian's limbs were severed, his agonized screams echoing throughout the Tang estate.
Now fully conscious but unable to control his body, Qin Buyi heard the ambiguous voice once more: "Kid, pay close attention!"
Qin Buyi soared into the sky, rising to a vantage point overlooking the entire Tang residence, and brought the Killing Saber down in a decisive strike.
"Killing Swordsmanship: Extermination!"
The Killing Saber unleashed a crescent moon that was magnitudes larger than before, casting Tang Zhentian and the entire Tang family beneath its vast shadow.
The crescent moon, like a dome, bathed the Tang estate in a glow as brilliant as moonlight.
As the glow dissipated, Tang Zhentian and the entire Tang family were erased from existence, as if they had never been there at all.
Qin Buyi glanced over at Wang Zong and the others before gently descending to the ground.
"Clang." The sound of metal hitting the earth rang out.
Regaining control of his body, Qin Buyi picked up the ring and projected his Divine Consciousness into it, discovering an object resembling a compass within.
Ding! You have successfully eliminated Tang Zhentian, a key member of the Tang family. Five attribute points have been awarded!
Ding! Main Mission: Acquire the Star Compass.
Mission reward has been distributed.
Ding! War Mission: Annihilate the Tang family.
Mission reward has been distributed.
Upon hearing the system notification, Qin Buyi exhaled deeply, his body wracked with pain as if it were being sliced by countless tiny knives. Stoically bearing the agony, he strode out from the rubble that was once the Tang family stronghold.
"He's emerged. Wow, he's so handsome!"
"Is the Tang family... really finished?"
"After thriving in Azure Sun City for three hundred years, the Tang family will now become a thing of the past."
The onlookers surrounding the Tang family compound were abuzz with shock and curiosity. As Qin Buyi appeared, many were eager to approach.
With an icy glance, Qin Buyi's aura of lethal intent radiated outward, causing the crowd to halt and instinctively part, forming a clear path for him to pass.
Qin Buyi crossed through the crowd and vanished into the night.
Above the remains of the Tang family estate, Huang San and three others were drenched in sweat.
"When he looked at me, I felt that any wrong move would have left me no better off than Tang Zhentian," Wang Zong admitted, his voice tinged with fear.
"The Tang family... just vanished?" Nan Tianlong uttered, staring down at the desolate site below.
"The final blow that obliterated the Tang family possessed power that far exceeded the Nascent Infant Stage. It's frightening," Huang San remarked, his voice laced with complexity.
"Young Master, we're in a bind. If Qin Buyi had only killed Tang Zhentian and the other top brass, it might have been manageable. But his strike has eradicated the entire Tang family branch. The Tang family of the Imperial Capital will not let this slide," Nan Tianlong said, furrowing his brow.
"Qin Buyi has stirred up serious trouble. Should the Imperial Capital's Tang family pursue this, his life is at risk. Young Master, if you intend to win him over, it's best to strategize sooner rather than later."
Huang San, who had previously insisted on shouldering the consequences, now looked visibly distressed. After a moment, he appeared to come to a resolute decision.
With a slight clench of his jaw, he declared, "I'll handle the situation with Qin Buyi in the Imperial Capital. The priority now is figuring out how to bring Qin Buyi into my fold."
Huang San gazed in the direction Qin Buyi had departed, unaware of the exact changes that had just occurred in him. He knew that the power Qin Buyi had wielded was not truly his own, but that detail was inconsequential.
The tide of events was turning increasingly against them. His faction was in dire need of formidable strength, and regardless of the nature of that strength, he was determined to secure Qin Buyi's allegiance.
