C145 The Tang Family Who Was Laughing at Him!

Qin Buyi summoned Wang Fugui, and before long, an array of Blue Star culinary delights graced the table.

The sight of the aromatic and flavorful Blue Star dishes had everyone's taste buds on high alert.

Ye Hui and Wang Dan couldn't help but salivate in anticipation, and while the rest weren't quite as overt, they were certainly on the verge.

Noticing the eager looks, Qin Buyi quickly invited, "Dig in, everyone."

With that invitation, the guests, mindful of their manners, refrained from descending upon the feast like a whirlwind. Yet, even the least advanced among them was at the Tribulation Crossing Stage.

Elegance intact, the spread on the table steadily dwindled.

In under fifteen minutes, the once-heaped table was wiped clean.

Wang Fugui, along with two servers, efficiently cleared the empty dishes and replenished the table with a fresh assortment of food.

By the end of the meal, ten rounds of dishes had been served and devoured before the gathering finally called it quits.

With bellies full and spirits high, the company dispersed.

Back at his residence in District One, Qin Buyi called for Lan Wenhao.

"Dean Hee Yan just mentioned his interest in the technology of our District One," he relayed.

"He's keen on implementing it at the College of Ming Dynasty, and I've given my approval."

"Find some time tomorrow to discuss the details with Dean Hee Yan."

Lan Wenhao's face lit up with pleasure upon hearing the news. The promotion of Blue Star Technology and culture was a priority he had been eager to address.

He had been planning to broach the subject with Qin Buyi in the coming days, but to his surprise, Qin Buyi had already laid the groundwork.

The goal of promoting Blue Star Technology was clear: to amass Spirit Stones.

Witnessing the opulence of the Heavenly Desolate Realm, where even the comparatively modest Ming Dynasty outshone Blue Star by leagues, Lan Wenhao was determined.

With Qin Buyi's support, he aimed to elevate the Lan family to the pinnacle of the Ming Dynasty's elite.

Once they secured their status as the foremost family within the Ming Dynasty, the next objective would be to carve out their legacy across the entire Heavenly Desolate Realm.

To realize this idea and objective, the key component is Spirit Stones. Without them, all plans are mere speculation.

"Okay, I'll go see Dean Hee Yan tomorrow to confirm this," Lan Wenhao declared.

Just then, Lan Linglong entered and informed Qin Buyi, "Mr. Qin, there's someone outside looking for you."

Within the Lan family, Qin Buyi's seniority was somewhat mixed up. Lan Linglong addressed him as "Big Brother Qin," while Lan Wenhao and Qin Buyi referred to each other as brothers.

Lan Wenhao, also Lan Linglong's third uncle, had brushed off any confusion about their relationship with a laugh, suggesting everyone stick to their own terms.

"Any idea who it is?" Qin Buyi inquired of Lan Linglong.

"He claims to be the patriarch of the Imperial Capital's Tang family. He's come specifically to see you, Mr. Qin, and mentioned resolving some longstanding issues," Lan Linglong replied.

"The Tang family from the Imperial Capital?" Qin Buyi's mind raced through his memories of the Tangs.

His first adversary upon being transported to Azure Sun City in the Heavenly Desolate Realm was the local Tang family, a branch of the Imperial Capital's Tangs. Their influence had posed a significant challenge to Qin Buyi, whose powers were then limited.

But now, with Qin Buyi's cultivation greatly advanced, the once formidable Tang family no longer posed a threat.

He remembered being bested by Tang Zhentian, a branch patriarch of the Tang family, during his time in Azure Sun City, only to be rescued by Honglian, who subsequently obliterated the entire Tang clan there. Had the Tang family not been mentioned today, Qin Buyi might have completely forgotten the incident.

"What does he want?" Qin Buyi wondered.

Setting his curiosity aside, he told Lan Linglong, "Please, bring the Tang family patriarch inside."

About fifteen minutes later, Lan Linglong returned with a portly, smiling middle-aged man.

Upon seeing Qin Buyi, the man introduced himself, "I am Tang Yuan, the current patriarch of the Tang family. It's an honor to meet you, Instructor Qin Buyi. Your reputation precedes you, and I am delighted to finally make your acquaintance."

Qin Buyi gave Tang Yuan a once-over, noting his round figure, and a snarky thought crossed his mind: "He's more like a Tang Yuan dumpling."

Despite this, a smile graced his face as he said, "Patriarch Tang, you're too kind. Please, have a seat."

Once Tang Yuan was seated, Qin Buyi inquired, "What brings you here today, Patriarch Tang?"

Tang Yuan glanced at Lan Linglong and Lan Wenhao in the room, seeming to hesitate.

Sensing the moment, Lan Wenhao, ever the shrewd one, quickly interjected, "Mr. Qin, I just remembered some unfinished business I must attend to. Please excuse me."

With that, he took Lan Linglong by the hand and left the room.

Once they were gone, Qin Buyi turned to Tang Yuan and said, "Now that it's just us, feel free to speak your mind, Patriarch Tang."

Tang Yuan hesitated before pulling a small box from his robe, containing ten neatly arranged storage rings, which he offered to Qin Buyi.

Qin Buyi didn't accept the box right away but looked at Tang Yuan curiously. "What's this about, Patriarch Tang?"

With a wry smile, Tang Yuan replied, "No need for formalities now; I'll call you Brother Qin. Inside this box is the equivalent of three hundred million Low Grade Spirit Stones in resources, a peace offering for you, Brother Qin."

"After you wiped out our Tang family branch in Azure Sun City, we tried repeatedly to gather information on you, seeking retribution."

"Years passed without a shred of useful intelligence. By the time we heard of you again, you had already made a name for yourself at the College of Ming Dynasty by defeating three senior instructors."

Tang Yuan's face showed a trace of relief as he continued, "Thankfully, our people were incompetent and never found you, or the consequences would've been dire."

"I've come to extend a sincere apology and to bury the hatchet, hoping you won't hold a grudge, Brother Qin."

Qin Buyi's formidable reputation left no room for Tang Yuan's fear to grow.

Upon his arrival at the prestigious College of Ming Dynasty, he swiftly defeated three senior instructors. Barely settling in, he went on to challenge and triumph over five more senior instructors in quick succession.

The most astonishing feat, however, was Qin Buyi's Tribulation Crossing event. He managed to invoke a lightning tribulation of Mahayana Stage intensity while at the Tribulation Crossing Stage, a truly fearsome spectacle.

It was a stroke of luck that the Tang family's envoys failed to locate Qin Buyi. Had they clashed, the ensuing conflict would have likely been irreparable, leaving a legacy of enmity.

Tang Yuan, having incited the wrath of such a formidable adversary, felt he had to sleep with one eye open, lest he wake up to find his head had taken up residence elsewhere.

The Tang family certainly got the short end of the stick; their branch was annihilated without leaving a trace behind. Yet, in the face of those responsible for the obliteration, the Tang family patriarch offered a smile and an apology.

At the heart of it all was the stark disparity in power between them. Qin Buyi was already a force to be reckoned with at the Combination Stage. Now, having advanced to the Tribulation Crossing Stage, his combat prowess was anyone's guess.

The Tang family's might peaked at the early Mahayana Stage, making it a grave miscalculation to provoke an enemy with such boundless potential.

Once Qin Buyi heard Tang Yuan's explanation, he immediately grasped the underlying thoughts and concerns in Tang Yuan's mind.
