C27 Searching the Kunlun Sect

After dispatching Woo Zai, Qin Buyi took his leave from Lan Tianhe. As parting gifts, Lan Tianhe handed Qin Buyi a Sound Transmission Jade Talisman and a scroll filled with detailed intelligence on the Kunlun Secret Realm, saying, "This scroll contains intelligence on the Kunlun Secret Realm, gathered by the Lan family over thousands of years. With this Sound Transmission Jade Talisman, you can reach me directly."

Gratefully accepting the items, Qin Buyi placed them into his Storage Space. "Thank you for the assistance. Stay safe."

Lan Tianhe cautioned him, "You're not yet strong enough for the Kunlun Secret Realm. Patience is key. Should you require the Lan family's aid, do not hesitate to use the talisman."

"Understood."

As Qin Buyi departed, Lan Tianhe remained standing, a smirk in his voice as he mused, "The Woo family is in for a headache now. Haha."

Once alone, Qin Buyi perused the scroll from Lan Tianhe, his gaze lingering on a specific location. "This is the place."

After an hour's flight, Qin Buyi surveyed the sprawling mountain range beneath him before gracefully descending.

Kunlun Mountain marked the gateway to the Kunlun Secret Realm, home to the Kunlun Sect.

The Kunlun Sect was a principal power within the Secret Realm, led by the current president of the Cultivation Association, the Martial Marquis.

With the Martial Marquis away in the capital, the Kunlun Sect was under the stewardship of the Vice Sect Master, Woo Ba, whose cultivation had reached the Deification Middle Period.

Qin Buyi's visit had a clear purpose: to exact some early retribution.

Guided by the scroll, he swiftly located the Kunlun Sect.

Approaching the imposing mountain gate, Qin Buyi strode forward. A disciple on each side, swords in hand, guarded the entrance. One challenged him, "State your name!"

With a swift "Clang!" Qin Buyi drew his Killing Saber and propelled himself forward. In a flash, he was at the disciples' side, the flat of his blade pressing against their necks, rendering them unconscious.

While violence could often provide a quick resolution, Qin Buyi refrained from lethal force against those who bore him no personal grudge.

He slipped through the mountain gate, evaded the patrolling disciples, and seized a man whose attire set him apart from the rest.

"Clang!"

The razor-sharp edge of the Killing Saber pressed against the man's throat as Qin Buyi's icy voice demanded, "What's your role within the Kunlun Sect?"

Confronted with Qin Buyi's lethal intent, the man nervously gulped, his words tumbling out in a panic, "Please... don't kill me. I'm a core disciple of the Kunlun Sect."

"Core disciple?" Qin Buyi echoed, his tone laced with skepticism.

"The Kunlun Sect has outer, inner, and core disciples. My status as a core disciple was secured through a hefty bribe of Spirit Stones by my family," the man explained.

"Lead me to your sect's Treasure Pavilion," commanded Qin Buyi.

With the chilling steel at his throat, the man promptly agreed, "I'll show you the way."

The man navigated the path ahead while Qin Buyi trailed behind, winding through the Kunlun Sect for a quarter of an hour.

Arriving at a two-story pavilion, the man gestured and stammered, "This is it..."

"Bang!"

The flat of the blade struck the man's neck, and he instantly collapsed, eyes rolling back as he lost consciousness.

Qin Buyi employed his Probing Eye to survey the interior of the pavilion, where an elder at the pinnacle of the Nascent Infant Stage stood guard.

With his presence fully masked, Qin Buyi stealthily pushed open the Treasure Vault's door and slipped inside.

Inside, Elder Woo Bao of the Treasure Vault was deep in meditation, oblivious to Qin Buyi's infiltration.

The first floor was stocked with weapons and elixirs for those at the Foundation and Golden Core stages. Qin Buyi spared no pleasantries, sweeping the items into his Storage Space.

After ransacking the ground level, he ascended to the second floor.

There, he found Elder Woo Bao, the Sect Elder, in meditative repose at the heart of the room. Qin Buyi drew his Killing Saber and approached.

"Who's there?" Woo Bao's eyes snapped open, bellowing with fury.

"Your executioner," Qin Buyi replied coolly.

"Clang!"

The Killing Saber thrust into Woo Bao's heart, and with a subtle flick of his wrist, Qin Buyi reduced the heart to dust.

Qin Buyi had no intention of sparing the direct descendants of the Wu family. After all, it was a member of the Wu family who had presided over the blood sacrifice in the Kunlun Secret Realm. The death of his parents was undoubtedly tied to the Wu family.

The second floor was deserted, devoid of anything of value. Qin retrieved a storage ring from the body of Wu Bao and probed it with his divine consciousness. Inside, he found chests brimming with spirit stones, over a hundred Nascent Infant Stage weapons, and several hundred bottles of Nascent Infant Stage elixirs. "It looks like all the valuables are contained within this ring," he noted.

At the Nascent Infant Stage, the weapons and elixirs one used were significantly more valuable than those at the Golden Core Stage, so it was common to keep them close at hand. Additionally, within the ring, Qin discovered something that particularly piqued his interest—a complete map of the Kunlun Sect.

Exiting the Treasure Vault, Qin followed the map to the Weapon Refining Hall, the source of all the sect's armaments. They were crafted here before being delivered to the Treasure Vault. Without alerting the Hall Master, Qin emptied the Weapon Refining Hall of its contents, transferring everything into his storage space. This included not only the fully forged weapons but also a wealth of refining ores and several half-finished pieces.

Similarly, the Kunlun Sect's Pill Refining Hall did not escape Qin's thorough search.

Upon reaching the Beast Control Hall, he faced a dilemma as he surveyed the live demon beasts before him. His system's storage space couldn't accommodate living creatures. It was then that the Azure Dragon emerged from Qin's embrace, drooling at the sight of the demon beasts.

"Do you want to eat?" Qin asked the Azure Dragon.

The little creature patted its belly and cooed, "Hungry~"

Qin had yet to fully grasp the extent of the Azure Dragon's appetite. Back in S City, the feast Lan Tianhe had prepared would have been more than sufficient for ten adults, yet the Azure Dragon, small enough to fit in the palm of a hand, had nearly devoured it all.

Understanding that he couldn't take it with him, Qin Buyi spoke with an encouraging tone, "Go ahead, eat your fill—no need to hold back."

With Qin Buyi's blessing, the Azure Dragon opened its jaws wide and issued a thunderous dragon roar.

"Roar~!"

Following the roar, the Azure Dragon mimicked swallowing and let out a satisfied burp.

"Burp!"

The Demon Beasts, lively just moments before, vanished without a trace after the Azure Dragon's roar.

Qin Buyi, astounded, exclaimed, "Where have all the Demon Beasts gone?"

Pointing to its belly, the Azure Dragon replied, "Master, they're right here."

Witnessing the Azure Dragon's antics, Qin Buyi suddenly grasped the system's promise of 'absolute value.'

Having eaten its fill, the Azure Dragon didn't curl back into Qin Buyi's arms but perched on his shoulder instead.

The Beast Hall, the last stronghold of the Kunlun Sect, was now pointless to maintain since the Azure Dragon had devoured all the Demon Beasts.

Qin Buyi soared above the Kunlun Sect, drew his Killing Saber, and struck down at the sect's grand hall.

"Killing Swordsmanship: Death Domain!"

A sinister glow emerged at the saber's tip, swiftly expanding into a column of light that engulfed the Kunlun Sect's grand hall.

"Slash!" Qin Buyi commanded.

The column of dark light surged toward the grand hall of the Kunlun Sect.

"Boom!" The impact resounded.

Dust billowed, and the grand hall of the Kunlun Sect was reduced to rubble.

"Who dares to wreak such havoc in my Kunlun Sect! Your life is forfeit!"

An enraged man burst forth from the Kunlun Sect, bellowing his challenge.

Facing the man, Qin Buyi inquired, "Are you the Vice Sect Master of the Kunlun Sect, Woo Ba?"

"Indeed, I am. And who might you be, to so brazenly destroy our main hall? Your actions are unforgivable!" Woo Ba seethed with fury.

Without pause, he expelled a thumb-sized flying sword from his mouth.

"Kunlun Secret Skill: Immortal Trapping Sword!"

"Perish!"

With the wind's encouragement, the flying sword swelled in size.

One inch.

Two inches.

It stretched over ten feet in length and lunged at Qin Buyi.

"Clang!"

The Killing Saber met the flying sword, sending sparks scattering in every direction.

A tremendous force transferred through the blade, forcing Qin Buyi to retreat three steps before he could fully dissipate the impact.

"Let's see how you withstand these strikes! Die!"

"Kunlun Secret Skill: Immortal Slaying Sword!"

Another sword emerged from his mouth, swiftly expanding to over ten feet and striking at Qin Buyi.

The two swords operated in perfect unison, putting Qin Buyi under considerable pressure.

"Killing Saber, Slaughter!" Qin Buyi commanded, wielding the Killing Saber.

The blade vibrated rapidly as he aimed it at the two swords.

"Clang!"

"Clang!"

The clash of metal was ear-piercing.

"Boom!"

"Boom!"

With Qin Buyi exerting his full power, the Killing Saber sent both swords spinning away.

Woo Ba's normally rosy complexion instantly turned an unhealthy shade of pale as he hurried to regain control of the sent flying swords.

A metallic taste of blood filled Woo Ba's mouth; his spirit was linked with the swords, and when they were repelled, he too sustained internal injuries.

"Kunlun Secret Skill: Immortal Slaughter Sword!"

"Kunlun Secret Skill: Extermination Sword!"

Two additional swords burst forth, targeting Qin Buyi.

"Die!" bellowed Woo Ba.

"Clang!" "Clang!"

"Dang!" "Dang!"

Qin Buyi faced escalating pressure from the onslaught of the four swords.

"Killing Swordsmanship: Slaughter!"

He directed the high-speed vibrating Killing Saber toward the Extermination Sword.

"Clang!"

The Extermination Sword merely trembled upon impact.

"Killing Swordsmanship: Extermination!"

A crescent moon enveloped the quartet of swords.

"Dang!" "Dang!"

"Dang!"...

As the crescent moon faded, the swords appeared unscathed.

Each sword had grown significantly stronger after Woo Ba's release.

After two unsuccessful attacks, Qin Buyi's gaze intensified.

Channeling his full strength, he declared:

"Killing Swordsmanship: Death Domain!"

A ghostly glow gathered at the tip of the Killing Saber, quickly forming into a beam the size of a fingertip.

"Compress it!"

The beam of light, no larger than a finger, quivered intensely before condensing to the thickness of a strand of hair.

Woo Ba sensed an overwhelming peril emanating from the slender, dark beam.

"Run!"

The thought seized Woo Ba's mind, inescapable. His divine consciousness directed the four swords in relentless assault upon Qin Buyi.

Qin Buyi watched Woo Ba's attempt to flee and remarked, "Isn't it a bit too late to escape now?"

"Strike!" Qin Buyi commanded with a decisive shout.

The hair-thin dark beam swiftly detached from the tip of the Killing Saber, hurtling towards Woo Ba.

The beam whistled through the air like an arrow.

"Whoosh!"

Woo Ba's body plummeted from the sky, a hairline wound emerging at the center of his forehead.

"Thud!" The body hit the ground.

With Woo Ba's demise, the four swords spiraled out of control, only to be seized by Qin Buyi and stowed away in his Storage Space.

Qin Buyi retrieved the storage ring from Woo Ba's corpse and soared away, his voice resonating through the Kunlun Sect, "My thanks for the generous gift!"
