C86 Fighting Honglian!(last part)

The Killing Saber whirred through the air, aimed straight at Honglian.

Incredulous, Honglian stared at Qin Buyi. "You actually dare to attack me?"

The next instant, fury and a thirst for vengeance blazed in her eyes as she felt Qin Buyi's challenge.

"So, you seek death? I shall oblige."

"Today, if you manage to slice off even a scrap of my garment, consider yourself victorious."

"After that, I won't trouble you further. I'll teach you the fifth and sixth forms of the Killing Saber Technique on the spot."

Qin Buyi retorted, "Honglian, you're spouting too much drivel today."

"I'm about to show you that your presence or absence means nothing. Stop overestimating your importance."

Qin Buyi's words had clearly struck a nerve with Honglian.

She scoffed as if hearing a ludicrous fairy tale, "No one has ever spoken to me like that. You're the first."

With a mocking gaze, Qin Buyi shot back, "Oh? Can't handle the truth? As the saber in my grasp, today I'll school you in the art of respecting your master."

With a graceful motion, Honglian summoned a similar long saber into her hand, parrying Qin Buyi's strike.

"You fool, you're begging for death!"

Qin Buyi replied with scorn, "You've repeated that so often, it's become tiresome. Try something original."

In a flash, Qin Buyi's blood-red saber shrank to palm-size and zipped into Honglian's sea of consciousness with lightning speed.

Unflinchingly, Honglian stood her ground as the diminutive blade penetrated her inner realm.

"Qin Buyi, I won't stoop to taking the upper hand. I'll match your strength in battle."

It was the first time Honglian had addressed Qin Buyi by name since their encounter, a testament to her seething rage.

"Just sever a piece of my clothing, and you'll have won."

"Fail, and you can embrace death!"

"Killing Swordsmanship: Soul Dispersing!"

Honglian's blade, too, condensed and stabbed into Qin Buyi's sea of consciousness.

The two blades unleashed a maelstrom of attacks within their mental domains.

"Boom!" "Boom!" "Boom!"...

Moments later, both Honglian and Qin Buyi faced each other, their complexions ghostly pale.

Honglian's grip tightened around the hilt of her blood-red long blade.

"Killing Swordsmanship: Slaughter!"

Caught off guard, Qin Buyi was struck by the vibrating blood-red blade.

"Bang!"

He plummeted into the sea of blood below.

Qin Buyi swiftly rose from the crimson tide, compressing the murderous aura within him once more. In a flash, a blood-red long blade materialized in his hand. Gripping the blade firmly, he lunged at Honglian once again.

Mid-charge, Qin Buyi spat out, "What kind of nonsense is this 'Obliteration True Intent'? Just a ploy you concocted to kill me."

"If you won't hand over the rest of the Killing Saber Technique, I'll force it out of you."

"Clang!"

Their blades clashed, sending a jarring clang echoing across the sea of blood.

With lethal intent, Honglian declared, "Perfect, you're playing right into my hands. I've been itching to put you in your place."

She brandished her long blade, delivering a vicious strike toward Qin Buyi.

"Boom!"

Once again, he was sent hurtling down from the sky.

"You dare to claim mastery over me with such feeble power? You're not fit," Honglian sneered.

Before Qin Buyi could recover, Honglian's onslaught was upon him.

"Boom!"

Her long blade now at Qin Buyi's throat, she taunted, "See the gap between us? It's as vast as the difference between heaven and earth."

With a swift turn of her blade, she delivered a brutal backhand strike.

"Bang!"

The blow sent Qin Buyi skidding across the surface of the sea of blood for meters before coming to a halt.

"Whoosh!"

In a blink, Honglian was before him, discarding her saber and balling her fists, raining down blows upon Qin Buyi.

"Bang!"

He was launched into the air, a helpless target for her relentless assault. Each punch, each kick, fell with crushing force.

"You think you can defy me with such paltry strength?"

"Cough, cough!"

Struggling at a disadvantage, Qin Buyi couldn't stop coughing.

Every cough caused a fragment of his Divine Consciousness to vanish, and the sense of frailty in his body intensified with each passing moment.

Had it not been for the body comprised of Qin Buyi's Divine Consciousness,

his organs would surely have suffered damage, and he would be spitting blood as if it cost him nothing.

"Honglian, regardless of the vast gulf between us, I remain your master."

Upon hearing these words, the murderous glint in Honglian's eyes flared. "Still defiant in the face of death? I'll gladly escort you to your demise!"

"Killing Swordsmanship..."

Honglian's words were cut short as Qin Buyi took control of the long saber within her sea of consciousness, slashing ferociously at her mental realm.

In the brief moment Honglian was caught off guard, Qin Buyi pounced on the chance.

He seized her wrist and hurled her violently into the blood sea.

"Crash!"

As Qin Buyi prepared to press his assault, a searing pain tore through his sea of consciousness.

Bearing the agony, he soared towards Honglian, wielding the long saber in a frenzied attack against her mental defenses.

The pain within Qin Buyi's own sea of consciousness grew excruciating.

Qin Buyi and Honglian exchanged identical blows, each enduring the torment inflicted by the other's strikes.

Qin Buyi faced Honglian, discarding his saber to land a solid punch.

"I'm no stranger to hand-to-hand combat either!"

"Thud!"

Honglian countered with a punch of her own...

Both Qin Buyi and Honglian exchanged blows recklessly, indifferent to their wounds.

In this battle waged in the sea of blood, endurance would crown the victor.

The struggle raged on for three days and nights.

By dawn of the fourth day,

Qin Buyi's form, shaped from his Divine Consciousness, had faded to near invisibility.

Though Honglian had gained the advantage in recent days, her condition was far from favorable.

Her complexion was ghostly, her strikes lacking their usual vigor.

With a mocking laugh, Honglian taunted the spectral figure of Qin Buyi, "Haha, Qin Buyi, still putting on a brave face?"

"Do you finally grasp the gap between us?" Qin Buyi, struggling to sustain his Divine Consciousness, burst into laughter. "Ha! As the master, I'm thrilled to see my weapon is so formidable."

Honglian retorted, "You're still holding on despite everything. I wonder how much longer you can last." With that, she and Qin Buyi resumed their fierce battle.

"Bang!" "Bang!"

"Bang!"...

After the skirmish, Qin Buyi lay atop the sea of blood, his form so translucent he was nearly invisible.

Straddling Qin Buyi, Honglian poised her fist above him and declared, "With this punch, Qin Buyi, you'll be utterly annihilated."

"I'll offer you a lifeline now. Promise to release me from being your weapon, and I'll spare you."

Qin Buyi, gesturing with his finger to their easily misconstrued posture, taunted, "If not a weapon, what would you prefer to be?"

Before he could finish, Honglian, her face darkening, cut him off, "Enough with your vile, base thoughts. If you want to live, set me free."

Qin Buyi met Honglian's gaze earnestly. "You hesitate to strike again because you're afraid, aren't you?"

A flicker of alarm crossed Honglian's eyes before she masked it, feigning composure. "What are you implying?"

Without mincing words, Qin Buyi laid it bare, "Both of us know full well, if you kill me, you won't make it out alive either."
