C1 1

"Son, you have only but two options here, find a girl, marry her and bring her to my fiftieth birthday party or else you leave me no other choice than to will all my properties to my younger brother, your dearest uncle."

Ethan knew very well that what his father had just told him was more than a threat. He didn't care about the family business and all of his dad's properties but hearing him say he would will all the properties to the man whom he hated the most, hit him real hard. His dad knew very well, how much he hated his uncle and that was the reason he used his uncle against him. Though he did not know why he hated him that much.

"Dad are you being serious right now? Why would you give all your properties to that scum bag of an uncle? "I'd suggest you transferred them all to an orphanage rather than give it to that two faced liar of a man," he lashed out in anger.

"Mind you son, the man you are insulting is my blood brother, so I will not have you call him names in my presence. If you really hate him that much and if you cannot bear to see him take over the properties, you know what to do. It is all in your hands, now." Mr. Moore turned to leave.

"But dad I am still twenty four years of age, don't you think it's too early for me to get entangled in a long term involvement. I still need to enjoy my youth days, besides marriage is a relationship that needs more than enough time," Ethan said, hoping he could change his father's mind.

"Twenty four and you think you are too young to get married. For your information son, I married your mother at the age of twenty five. My fiftieth birthday is coming up on the eighteenth December of next year and we are still in the third month of this year, so there are still more than enough months for you to enjoy your youth," he said and walked away quickly.

Obviously, he didn't want to hear anymore of Dan's complaints.

"No way dad, I do not want to get married, I am still enjoying the title of being the most handsome rich bachelor," Ethan muttered to himself, his face turning pale.

He pulled out his phone from the left pocket and dialed a number.

"Hey Clint," Ethan greeted the other caller.

"Ethan, what's up?"

"I need your help Clinton. I will be at your place in the next fifteen minutes, be ready, we will drop by a bar to get a drink," he said, keeping his voice down.

"I'll be waiting," Clinton said and hung up.

Ethan wiped his sweating hands and rushed into his room.

Not less than fifteen minutes later, Ethan's Peugeot pulled up in front of his friend's place. Clinton opened the car door and entered.

"Is there any bar around here?"

"Yes, there is one at the end of the Street. It was just recently launched and I heard that there are so many hot girls who linger around the bar," Clinton voiced out shamelessly.

"I have a very big dilemma to solve and all you are thinking about is making out. You've got to be kidding me, Clint." His gaze was solely focused on the car wheel.

"I didn't know your problem was that serious, sorry man," he apologized, tapping Ethan on his shoulder.

When they got to the bar, Ethan Packed his car at a conducive corner and they both alighted from the car, walking straight into the bar. The security at the doorstep bowed to them as they walked in. Ethan and Clinton both sat on the chairs far from others.

"So what's the problem?"

"My dad is really serious about the marriage stuff, he threatened to will everything to my uncle if I didn't bring my wife to his fiftieth birthday," Ethan's voice sounded unsteady.

"Why not get married then, there's no big deal."

"Sometimes I wonder if you are truly my friend or an enemy. You know how much I started to despise women ever since I found out about my uncle and my mom, mo.." Ethan paused, there was pain in his eyes, "most women do not deserve to be loved. My only business with them is to make them for fall me, then have their hearts shattered to pieces." He completed his sentence.

"Ethan you have broken enough hearts already, why don't you try moving on, you deserve to be happy. Your mom is dead and I'm sure she's paying for her crimes wherever she is. Stop punishing yourself and those innocent girls," Clinton tried reasoning with him.

"Innocent you say," he said in a mocking tone, "all the women I have dated are all like my mom, they only get glued to you for the money. Do not be deceived my friend, if not for my charms, I wouldn't have been able to make them fall into my trap."

"My mom is dead but my uncle is still alive. I don't think I will be able to move on, until I make him pay for cheating my dad and for having an affair with my mom behind closed doors," Ethan swore out the words one by one.

"So what are you going to do then concerning your father's blackmail?"

"I don't have any idea and that is the reason why you are here with me, so figure something out."

Both friends became silent, each thinking of a plan.

A barmaid walked towards them with the drinks they had ordered.

"Your drinks are ready," the barmaid said interrupting their thoughts.

"You could have just dropped it on the table and left without having to draw any attention to yourself," Ethan annoyingly and angrily scolded, he was passing out his frustration on her.

"Common sense should tell you that this is how we carry out our duties here, Mr." She challenged back. She wasn't the type to shy away when humiliated. "If you are looking for where to pass out your frustrations, I advise you to leave this place," she added, her lips pouting towards him.

"How dare you?" Ethan stood up in anger. Clinton on the other hand was enjoying the show, the girl was a daring type, she readily challenged the most successful billionaire.

"Ethan you have to calm down, just let her be," Clinton quickly stopped him before things would get out of hand.

"You should learn manners from your friend, he is more gentlemanly," she complimented Clinton and boldly walked away.

"I won't let her get away with this," he said, gnashing his teeth in anger.

"Ha ha ha ha..." Clinton laughed out so loud.

"What's funny?"

"A barmaid stood up to the most famous handsome billionaire, it's obvious she doesn't know who you are." Clinton was trying very hard to stop himself from laughing.

"She is really something else, the other girls I have met always wanted me, but for the first time an ordinary barmaid didn't acknowledge my looks," he sounded like he had been robbed of his glory. His gaze turned dark.

"You can't blame her though, she's equally beautiful and hot, even in such an ordinary wear, I wonder how she would look in skimpy tight dresses." Clinton praised.

"You fool, stop daydreaming about that low class girl, remember we have to find a solution to my problem."

"Well your smart friend has found a solution already."

"And what is that solution?" Ethan asked in doubt.

"Hire a girl to pretend as your wife, then when your dad transfers the properties to your name, you settle her and she goes her way." Clinton explained.

"You are such a genius, you came up with such an idea without great difficulty," Ethan's face brightened in happiness, he really admired his friend's intelligence.

"Let's make a toast then." Ethan said raising his bottle of whiskey up.

"To our friendship," Clinton, said lifting his own bottle.

"Cheers." Their bottles collided at once.

Clinton drank to stupor while Ethan tried his very best to remain sober. He was very aware that if both of them got drunk, no one would be in the right state of mind to drive the car.

"I am going to the rest room to pee, I'll be back soon and then we go back home," Ethan said walking out.

"Be quick!" Clinton shouted.

"Ok," he replied.

"I can't find the rest room anywhere," Ethan said, tapping to the figure that was talking on the phone.

"Give me a second," she said to Ethan and ended her call.

"The toilet is on the other side of the corridor," she said, turning towards him.

"You!!!" They both exclaimed, pointing at themselves.

"What are you doing here, huh? Who gave you the right to touch me?" She scolded, "you are such a shameless man, you have only come here to bully me, right?" She queued up her questions.

"Shut up you little slut, why do you have so much ego when you are just an ordinary barmaid? Do not get your hopes too high, I only came here to pee." His stare so cold and intense.

She wasn't moved by his stern face at all or so she acted, "wow, I'm sure you must have earned a degree in lying because the way to the rest room is over there," she said gesturing her hands to the other corridor.

"This is my first time coming here, so how do you expect me to know that," Ethan said in an irritated tone.

"Quit your lies, so many men have fallen head over hills for me but I didn't really expect an arrogant man like you would also pick interest in me," she intentionally mocked him.

She saw her angry he became, so she tried moving away from him to avoid any mishaps. Before she could flee from him, he held on to her elbow and pressed her down on the wall.

"How dare you?" She voiced out in anger.

"And how dare you try to walk out on me?" He answered her question with a question.

"Do you know how many wrongs you have done to me this evening?

"I don't." She still seemed fierce, even she was scared within herself.

"Don't you have any idea of who I am and what I can do to you?" He was clearly boiling in rage.

"Well I do not care who you are and neither do I care to know." She said, adding to his anger.
