C1 My Bestfriend Betrayal

Maxine POV

I am a 2nd year Bachelor of Science in Business Management. I'm here at the Madeline University where I'll be continuing my studies and yes I am a transferee student here.

It's my first day of class and here I am standing in front of our University. Yes, I'm the daughter of the owner but no one knows except for those high officials, superiors and that one person. I choose to hide my true identity even though at first my parents disagree about it but at the end

they have no choice but to agree with my decission.

I don't want other students to know about it because I don't want them to treat me differently or with speciality. All I want is to study and to graduate.

As I enter the University many students are already there, maybe they are just excited to meet their friends or their co-students.

The place is so noisy and somehow I find it annoying.

As I was about to enter my room where my section was I saw a three woman standing near the door I was going through them when one of them noticed me and spoke, "Hey, Are you a new student here?" she asked.

Duh, Isn't it obvious or you are just stupid? I want to speak it out but I remember I was

pretending here as a new student. I sigh.

"Ahm, Yes I'm a transferee here." I answered while bowing my head and going inside the room.

Her friend was about to speak but I never bothered to hear it out and continue to get inside.

I'm already inside the room. I looked around to find an available chair to sit in and I found one in the back corner.

I notice a woman sitting in the left side corner where the vacant seat is but I just don't mind and seat.

"Are you new here?" the woman said.

"Yes,I just transferred here." I responded.

"Welcome! Beware to those three girls over the door. They are the Queen bee in this university." She said, referring to the three women I was talking to a while ago.

"Ah eh? They look kind and friendly to me." I said.

She laughed and that made me confused. "Kind? Friendly? Hahaha! Your assumption is wrong, they're literally opposite of what you think" She said.

I just smile as a response to her.

A little while our first prof for our first class arrived.

" I heard there is a new transferee here. May I call Ms. Del Valle? Please introduce yourself." Prof. said and reached me out for me to go to the front.

I stood up and went to the front and introduced myself. "Hello everyone! I'm Cyan Maxine Del Valle, 20 years old, from Korea. Hope to get along with you all." I gave them a smile and sat back in my chair.

The boring class was already dismissed. I fixed my things to go to the cafeteria. I smiled when my phone rang and I saw who's on the screen.

I immediately answer because I don't want this person to get mad.

'Where are you?'

'Ahm! Still in my room. But I'm going to the cafeteria.'

' Do you want me to accompany you? I'm worried if something might happen to you.'

'No, Don't worry! Someone might know if we're together.'

'Fine! Be careful okay? Call me if something bad happens. I love you!'

'I will, just eat also and don't ever starve yourself. Understand? I love you too.'

I instantly turned off the call with a smile plastered in my lips. I know he wants us to be together but I don't want others to know about me so we choose to act like strangers.

(Student Council Office)

I came early to the office because there were a lot of things I need to do as the Council President of this University and knowing that many new

students transferred here for sure there will be a lot of reprimands and also files to be checked.

While I'm busy reading some files from a year ago the office door opened.

"Good Morning Ace! Did you already eat? Let's go to the cafeteria and eat together" She said smiling.

"I'm full."I respond in a cold tone.

" As usual you're cold Ace. Okay, then can you accompany me in the cafeteria?" She said ang cling her arms around mine.

Bitch tss!

"Look I'm busy! So stop disturbing me." I shouted.

"Okay fine!" she said in annoyance.

I just shook my head.

She's Channel the Student Council Secretary. Others know her as kind and friendly one, but for me she's not. I hated her, she's too clingy and also a bitch. I don't like her pretentious and plasticity attitude. Inshort I don't like her!

Maxine is busy eating when she notices that her classmate is standing in front of her. "Can I share with you? I looked around and there's no other vacant seats."She said shyly.

"Sure! That's fine with me." I replied.

She sat down and started eating her food so I continue eating mine too.

I notice that she was looking at me. "Why?" I asked

"Nothing, You're so pretty." she bowed her head saying those words. "By the way I'm Sapphire" and she added.

I smile "Nice meeting you!"

While eating I observe that Sapphire is looking at the cafeteria door. I got curious so I looked where she's looking and there was a woman getting inside.

'You knew her?' I asked.

"She is one of the student council here in university.' she answered

I just nodded and continued eating. In the middle of our chit-chat someone cleared its throat in my back to get our attention.

"Can I sit here?" that person added.

"Sure Ms. Channel." Sapp responded.

"Thank you!" and she joined us.

She looked at me "Transferee? " she asked.

"Yes."I answered.

A sweet smile forms in her lips "I see, welcome! Hope we can be friends"

I was shocked at how kind she was, Huwah! I just nodded to agree. After we finished our food we bid goodbye to each other. We're classmates but at the moment Channel can't come with us she's excuse because of those things she needs to work on in the office as part of the SSC.

Our class has ended, while fixing my things I saw a text message on my phone. I immediately opened it.

Is your class done already? Can we meet? Same place.

Yes. Just finish! Sure. I'll be there.

I put my phone in my bag and quickly left the room.

"Bye sapph! See you tomorrow." I shouted and left.

Finally I'm gonna see her! I want to be with her and talk to her at the University but as what she said she doesn't want everyone around the campus to know about her and also about us. She hates too much attention. - the guy though to himself after he read the message replied to him
