“Diana invited me to hang out at the bar earlier, do you want to go there to unwind?” Sandra asked as I lay there on her lap.

Diana was our friend but I wasn’t as close to her as Sandra was. Going to the bar was going to be a good distraction from everything.

“Yes, I’ll go,” I replied without hesitation.

“That’s my girl.” Sandra’s lip curled into a soft smile. “Let’s get ready
