C6 Chapter 6
While Zues held his friend Galaxie in his arms as he shed tears, he slowly walked into the room to close the door. When he was sure it was closed, he let go of the hug and held Galaxie's chin up to him. "What's the matter, Galaxie?" He asked with a worried tone.
Galaxie didn't answer. Sge was just silent as a severe hiccup swallowed her. She covered her mouth with her hands to suppress her own hiccup but it was still irritating.
"Hey," Zues called her then slightly lowered his head to peek at her face, "What is wrong?" He asked.
Galaxie took a deep breath even though she was having a hard time. She gently rubbed her wet cheek then smiled compulsively, "Nothing, Zues," she lied as she shook her head.
Zues straightened up as he frowned because he knew his friend was just lying. He knew Galaxie very well and he knew if she was telling the truth or just lying. "Come on, Galaxie. I'm not a strager to you, am I? You can trust me. You can tell me the pain you're carrying."
"Nothing Zues,"
"What's wrong? Why are you crying so deeply when there's no problem at all?" He sighed then hugged his friend again, "What is the problem, Galaxie?" He added a question. He was worried about the condition of his friend, Galaxie. She is not like that, whenever she is in trouble, she's transparent to him. She always say problems to him. But now, something seemed to be going wrong. And as a friend, he needed to know that.
Zues had a hard time convincing his friend to tell him the problem she was carrying. It took a few more hours before Galaxie calmed down and stopped crying. She was currently sitting on the soft bed of the room while the electricfan was focused on her. Zues gave her a lot of water to get rid of her hiccup. Eventually, Galaxie's hiccups were gone but there were still tears on her cheeks, however not as many as before. What could be the problem that Galaxie was carrying?
"Now, Galaxie, tell me your problem. Please, I'm worried about you." Zues said once tweaking his own hair. He really wanted to know the problem his friend was carrying, to him to be able to help her.
Galaxie sniffed first before throwing her gaze at her friend, Zues, "Hmm, I don't have a problem, Zues," she said then released her sweet smile even though her eyes were still puffy from the intense tears. “Thanks for the concern,” she added.
"Please, tell me, Galaxie. I'm going crazy worrying about you." Zues said as he frowned then walked over to the table where he placed the water pitcher. "I'm your friend, aren't I? I'm just here, Galaxie, to lighten the weight you are feeling."
"Why? Do you love me, Zues?" A surprising question came out of Galaxie's mouth that even she was also shocked by what she asked. Her eyes widened and she immediately covered her mouth.
Zues, on the other hand, shrugged and frowned when he faced her, "What? Of course! I love you," he said now that he was scratching his neck, "Because you are the only friend I have," he added.
At Zues' last words, Galaxie's world collapsed. It was as if he had been stabbed with a machete. Will it be just a friend? Though it hurt her, she still forced herself to let out a fake laugh to cover up the pain she was feeling, "Thank you. Now I know, there are still people who love me."
"What are you thinking, Galaxie? We love you a lot. So don't you ever do this again, huh? Tell us your problem. You are not alone," Zues said then walked over to her while holding a glass of water, "Here, drink some water again to calm you down, then tell me your problem when you're ready."
The two talked for a hours, and there Galaxie admitted. She said she just missed her mother who is now in his heaven. She told Zues that she also did not know the exact reason why she wanted to be alone. All of a sudden, she just missed her mother, and all of a sudden she didn't want to talk to anyone. There's no exact reason for it.
But the truth is, Galaxie has another reason why she wanted to be alone. It wasn’t because of her late mother, it was something she couldn’t tell Zues. Because it will likely ruin their friendship. Galaxie was very disgusted with herself because of it. Right now, she is thinking of a way to solve the problem she is facing.
