It was stupid not to tell her. I thought. Now she was going to fall in love with Chase like she fell in love with me.

I wasn't not blind or stupid. I knew Chase was winning this war and all I could think about was how I didn't tell her.

I never lied. I loved her and I still do. It just seemed more complicated. I had to leave and I couldn't say goodbye. Goodbye would've sucked
