"But you're like his little sister; he will look after you," he answered me. "Let's go into the house." I went to the kitchen and found my food waiting for me.
*Thank you, Megan,* I sent to her via telepathy.
She replied; she must have been putting Zack to sleep. I finished my food and went to my room, grabbing my bag to pack my clothes.
Andrew is my cousin. My mother is the sister of his father, who was the Alpha of the Red Moon Pack, and Andrew took his position. He used to come here from time to time to visit us, and he was always like a brother to me.
I've never been to the Red Moon Pack, but I know a lot about it and its Alpha, William. It is a pack located about four hours or more away by driving. They have a large land area and many members; they grew larger because of Alpha William. His parents died when he was young, and as the only heir, he took his father's position at the age of sixteen.
When the other packs heard about this, they tried to take advantage of the situation and take over his pack, thinking that a sixteen-year-old boy wouldn't be able to do anything. But they were wrong. Now, no one dares to attack that pack or even think of approaching it. Fortunately, our pack is on good terms with them, and since the Beta there is my cousin, it is easy.
I closed my bag and put it on the floor before I showered and fell asleep.
I locked the trunk after I put my bag inside and went to say goodbye to my brother and Megan; Zack had already gone to school.
"Then I have to go, it takes hours."
"I know. Drive carefully, and if you encounter any difficulty, contact me immediately. Also, I hope that you will not cause any problems there, as you know that the Alpha there does not give second chances."
"Are you saying I'm a troublemaker?"
"No, my little sister is an angel; just don't make any trouble," he answered me, making us laugh before I hugged him.
"Goodbye, Alison," Megan said while hugging me.
I got into my car and waved at them before I started on my way. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad to get away from here and the pain for a little while.
A couple of months ago, one of the guys younger than me that I was training was walking near the border and noticed that there were Rogues. On that day, he saw a number of them in our area and immediately reported it to my brother and all of us through telepathy.
I was close to the border, and when I heard that, I ran to him because I knew he would attack them even if the Alpha ordered him not to. I ran quickly only to find that they had caught him. I started attacking with all my strength, but they killed him and tried to kill me too. At that moment, my brother and the warriors arrived and killed them. I couldn't erase the image of the moment of his death from my mind, so I distracted myself with training.
That's why I hate the Rogues; they killed my mom and dad in front of my eyes, and now they are still killing the people in my life.
After driving for four hours, I stopped in front of the entrance to the pack, which had a large gate. One of the guards stepped forward.
"The name?" he asked me.
"Alison," I answered him. He searched his papers before he signaled to the guards, and they opened the gate for me. I entered through the gate and stopped in the parking area. I got out of the car and opened my trunk to take out my bag.
"Do you need help, beautiful lady?" I smiled at the voice I knew before turning around.
"No, thank you, sir," I replied.
"Come here, I missed you." He opened his arms to hug me.
"How are you, Andrew?" I asked my cousin.
"Good, what about you?"
"Okay," I replied as we pulled apart from the hug.
"Then let's go." I grabbed my bag, parked my car, and walked with him.
"So, how is Adele?" I asked about his girlfriend.
"She's excited that you'll be with us. Since I told her, she hasn't stopped talking about you," he said, smiling. We walked toward the road, and I began to watch my surroundings. There were several houses scattered about; it was like a small town.
"There is the Pack House." Andrew pointed to the large house at the end of the road. "On that side is the hospital," he pointed to the right.
"Now let's go to my house." We walked to a medium-sized house, and it was beautiful. He opened the door, and his girlfriend, Adele, jumped up and hugged me.
"Alison, how are you?"
"Good, and you, Adele?"
"I'm good too! You don't know how excited I am for you to come; I'm really happy."
"Thank you, Adele."
She's a nice person. I don't usually make friends; I prefer being alone, so we can say that Adele is like a member of my family.
"Come on, let's go in and eat. I've made your favorite food; I called Megan and asked her," she said as she ushered me inside.
"You really shouldn't have done that, Adele," I told her.
"You don't have to be formal with me, Alison; I love doing this," she answered, looking at Andrew.
"I told you she was very excited." I smiled, and we sat down at the table and began to eat. After I finished, I offered to wash the dishes, but Adele refused, so I went with Andrew to see my room.
"Here is your room." We entered the room, and Andrew put my bag on the floor.
"Then tell me," I told him.
"What?"
"Rules! What should I do, what should I not do, and so on." He laughed at my question.
"There is no such thing; I know you will behave, and you are not a child anymore."
"So when do I start training?"
"Wait a minute. You'll start tomorrow, not today. It's been half a day anyway, and Austin has told me what happened, and I know that's the reason you came here."
"Yes, that's what happened," I said as he looked at me worriedly.
"Are you well?"
"Andrew, I'm really fine, don't worry. I think being here will help me."
"I hope so, but if you want to talk or anything, I'm here," he told me.
"I know, thank you, Andrew."
"Why are you acting so mature? Is it because you're twenty years old?" we laughed together before he went out, and I lay down on the bed. Since I wouldn't do anything today, I decided to sleep.
