C3 3

The next morning.

I had breakfast with Andrew and Adele before Andrew and I left for the training center.

"Alison, the structure of our pack is a little different from yours. Here we have two centers: one for training and one for offices, and they are located a bit further away from each other."

"I understand," I replied. We headed toward one of the buildings and entered a large hall that contained a lot of sports equipment, where a number of people were already training.

"Okay, let me introduce you. This is Finn, the Captain of the Warriors. Finn, this is the Vice-Leader of the White Crescent Pack, Alison." Andrew introduced me to a burly man who reached out to shake my hand. I extended my hand and shook his as well.

"Nice to meet you, Mr. Finn," I told him.

"Me too, Miss Alison."

"Just Alison," I said, gesturing to myself.

"Then I am going to leave Alison under your care from now on," Andrew said to Finn.

"Don't worry," Finn replied.

"Alison, I'll be sitting over there," Andrew gestured to the chairs.

"I know, but I just want to see first if you get along with everyone."

"Why? Aren't you going to your own work? The Beta is usually busy," I told him.

"Are you worried that someone might do something?"

"Sort of. I don't want your brother to come and chop off my head if something bad happens to you."

"Come on, Andrew, go to work. Didn't you say I wasn't a child?"

"Yes, but you will still be a child to me and your brother."

"Until when?"

"Maybe until you meet your mate."

Mate? Another sensitive topic for me. I watched him as he headed to one of the chairs before Finn signaled a group of warriors to gather in front of him. I could tell they were all from the same age group.

"Alison, these are the 16-year-olds," Finn explained. About twenty people stood in front of him, waiting for orders.

"You mean the category that will shift soon?"

"Yes, you are right. They were all born in the same month, and after this month, they will reach their shifting age."

"I understand. That's why they need to train more. What about their school?"

"Don't worry, their daily program has been prepared to match both their school and training."

"Okay."

"Then, from today until the next thirty days, Alison will train you. She belongs to the White Crescent Pack. I expect you to respect her and do your best."

"Now, Alison, I'm going to the other training session. Here are the methods we use in our training, and if you need anything, you can just ask me," Finn said to me.

"Okay, thank you," I replied as he left.

I quickly looked at the papers and found that their methods were almost the same as ours. I looked up at the young wolves who had become my students.

"Hello. As Mr. Finn introduced me, my name is Alison, and from today onwards, I am your coach. If you have any questions about me, you can ask now before we start our training." I looked at them, only to find a young man raising his hand with a side smile on his face.

"Go ahead."

"I just have a question. How are you going to train us? I don't mean to offend, but you look too young to be a coach. Coaches are usually older than their students so they can beat them."

"So, what do you want us to do?" I asked him, knowing exactly what he meant.

"You can fight me," he said.

"Okay, then go ahead." I agreed and moved forward. I put my things on the floor and stood facing him. "What's your name?" I asked.

"Jack," he answered, taking a fighting position. I stood my ground. He advanced quickly and began to attack, but I avoided every strike with ease. I noticed he was starting to get angry, and at that moment, I attacked. I swept my leg behind his and pressed down on one of his shoulders, upsetting his balance and making him fall.

"You're dead," I told him as I pinned him to the ground. I stood up to see everyone looking at me in amazement.

"Well, first lesson for you: never, ever underestimate the strength of your opponent, regardless of their appearance or gender. Understood?" I said, making my voice rougher.

"Yes!" they answered in one voice.

"Well, Jack, for your information, we are coaches not because we can beat our students, but because we have gained and tested many things that you don't know yet, and we are trying to teach you. Is that clear?" I told him as I extended my hand to help him up. He took my hand and stood.

"Understood, coach," he replied, lowering his head respectfully and smiling.

Respect among werewolves is earned through actions; I knew a situation like this would happen.

"Then start the warm-ups for ten minutes, starting now!" I yelled. As they began, I felt like someone was staring at me. I turned to see Andrew—of course, he was still there. I had forgotten about him.

I walked over to him and found him smiling widely. "I'm proud of you; you've really grown up," he said while hugging me.

"Then can you go to work now?"

"Yes, I'm going now. We'll meet in the evening. Can you get back alone?"

"I can. I'm going back to training." I watched him walk out of the hall. We trained for three hours before stopping for lunch.

"Come with me, I'll show you the cafeteria. It's in the Pack House; we eat there," Finn told me.

"Okay, thank you."

We entered the dining hall, where there was a buffet. I grabbed a tray and started taking my food. When I finished, I looked for an empty place and found a table far from the crowd. I sat down and started eating until someone sat across from me.

"Hello, I'm Sam, and I'm also a coach. I've seen you before with Beta Andrew, and I saw you in the center too. I like your courage."

"Hi, I'm Alison," I replied, finishing my meal and ignoring him. I don't like making friends, and I didn't plan on changing that yet.

"So, what pack are you from?" he asked.

"White Crescent Pack."

"Do you have a boyfriend? I don't think so, because you don't have a scent mark on you." He waited for a second. "Then I conclude from your silence that there is no one," he said, smiling as if he had just heard great news.

"Yes, and I'm thinking of keeping it that way for as long as possible," I replied. His smile faded.

"Okay then, I'll let you finish your meal, but let me just tell you that I'm not giving up," he said, picking up his plate and leaving. I looked at Finn, who was sitting at a nearby table with some other people who must have overheard our conversation.

"Don't worry about him; his personality is just like that, though you did a good job keeping him away," Finn told me. I nodded, finished my food, and decided to take a walk around.
