C19 Your Husband Is Just Rich!

After Yann Qiai took over Yann's Group, the company finally got back on track. These past few days, Qiai has been swamped with various tasks at the office, leaving her utterly exhausted. It's her first time managing such a large company, and she knows she'll need to gradually build her experience.

Dragging her weary self out of the office, she was ready to head back to her apartment when someone suddenly called her name. Turning around, she saw it was Lawyer Zhang.

"What's up, Lawyer Zhang?"

"Not good, Miss Yann. I just got word that someone has bought up all our company's scattered shares out there. I also heard they've acquired shares from several other major shareholders."

"What?! Can you find out who it is?" Qiai's guard went up. Her company had just come into her hands, and already someone was trying to pull a fast one.

"I'm not sure yet, but I'll go..."

Before Lawyer Zhang could finish, Qiai's phone rang. She glanced at the screen; it was an unknown number. She answered it.

"Hello?"

"Hey, darling, since when did you become so formal?" Yan Zhimo lounged lazily in his office chair, casually twirling a pen in his hand. His relaxed demeanor exuded a unique charm, and his perfect features were undeniably striking. Hearing her formal greeting, he couldn't help but flash a teasing grin.

"It's you! How did you get my number?" As soon as the question left her lips, Qiai realized it was pointless. For someone as cunning as him, finding her number was probably a breeze.

"Do you think that's hard for me? Anything I want, I get. That includes you." Zhimo's confidence was palpable, his entire presence radiating a mischievous aura.

"In your dreams! I never want to see you again. Goodbye!"

"Then I guess you don't want your company either?" Just as Qiai angrily lowered her phone, ready to hang up, Zhimo's nonchalant remark reached her ears, prompting her to pick up the phone again.

"What do you mean?" Yann Qiai asked, filled with confusion.

"Haven't you heard the news? The rest of your company's shares have been bought out."

"It was you?!"

"Yes, indeed. Sorry, but your husband just has too much money," Yan Zhimo teased Yann Qiai with a smug grin.

"What exactly are you trying to do?" Yann Qiai struggled to contain her anger.

"Well, I've now acquired sixty percent of your company, aside from your shares. So now—I've surpassed you to become the largest shareholder of Yann's Group," Yan Zhimo said slyly, emphasizing each word.

"What?!" Yann Qiai's eyes widened in disbelief.

"So, from now on, you have to listen to me. I want you to come to my company right now."

"You!" Yann Qiai was at a loss for words, feeling a surge of frustration. She wanted to throw her phone but hesitated, remembering his words.

"What? Not willing? Then I'll just have someone buy out your company."

"No, no," Yann Qiai quickly interrupted, trying to regain her composure and forcing a smile. "Director Yan, I was just thinking about how we can work well together! I'll be there right away." With that, she hung up, hailed a cab, and headed to Yan's Group.

Yan Zhimo put down the phone, a sly smile on his lips. Work well together? Oh, it will be delightful.

Yann Qiai got out of the cab and rushed to Yan's building. As the largest group in the financial sector of A City, Yan's building was as grand as a five-star hotel. Though she had never been here before, there was no time to admire it. She quickly approached the reception desk and asked, "Hello, could you tell me which floor your CEO is on?"

The receptionist looked up to see a young woman in a white hoodie and blue jeans standing in front of her. Another woman here to see the CEO, she thought. But this one seemed a bit more innocent. Hmph, dressing a little more modestly won't catch the CEO's eye! He's never been one to show mercy to women. Despite her thoughts, the receptionist maintained a professional smile and spoke in a gentle tone, "Hello, do you have an appointment?"

"Just tell your CEO that Miss Yann is here," Yann Qiai said casually, her eyes scanning for the elevator.

Another one using the same old trick, the receptionist thought, growing a bit impatient. Her tone turned slightly cold, "I'm sorry, miss, but without an appointment, you can't just meet the CEO."

"What?" Yann Qiai was irked by the receptionist's words. Ha! Just meet him casually? Do you think I want to be here? You don't think I'm one of those women chasing after Yan Zhimo, do you? These young girls today really don't get it.

With that thought, Yann Qiai leaned on the counter, resting her chin on her hand, and looked at the young receptionist with a playful expression. "Little sister, do you know who I am? Do you believe that if I call your boss right now, he'll come down to invite me up?"

The receptionist felt a chill down her spine under Yann Qiai's gaze, but she stood her ground, her voice still annoyingly sweet, "I'm just following the rules. If you want to call the CEO, go ahead."

"Fine, just wait," Yann Qiai said, pulling out her phone and dialing Yan Zhimo. Once the call connected, she suddenly put on a pouty face, mimicking the receptionist's sweet tone, "Honey, I'm stuck downstairs. The receptionist says I can't just see you. Come get me, please."
