C10 Help Me out

I could never forgive such a revolting man!

"Sounds like sour grapes to me. Ellie, what man would ever want a woman like you?" Skylynn sneered at me, dripping with contempt.

"There are plenty of men who fancy Ellie. Only a loser like Anatol would fall for someone as low and vile as you!" Priya snapped back, unable to tolerate Skylynn's haughty demeanor.

"Oh really? She's got admirers? Then bring one out. I want to see the kind of man who could possibly like someone like Ellie." Skylynn knew all too well about my love for Anatol. When we were close, Anatol was all we ever talked about.

Back then, I saw her as my best friend. I thought her inquiries about Anatol were out of concern for me. I believed friends should share everything, so I never held back. Whatever she wanted to know, I'd spill it all.

Looking back, I realize how naive I was. She wasn't asking about Anatol out of concern for me; she was doing it for herself, aiming to lure him away.

"What's the matter? Can't bring someone out? I guess nobody really likes her, huh?" Skylynn taunted, her pride written all over her face.

Now she's taken my fiancé, and our friendship is irreparably torn. She must be reveling in the fact that my once-fiancé is now her man.

Confronted with Skylynn's aggressive stance, I wanted nothing more than to walk away, but she was relentless, grabbing onto me, refusing to let me leave.

"Skylynn, you've crossed the line. You've already got what you wanted, what more do you want from me?" I spun around, fury burning in my eyes. She was beyond excessive!

Just as Skylynn was about to retort, I caught sight of a man nearby. A cold smile played on my lips as I coldly addressed her, "You wanted to see my man? Fine, I'll let you have a good look!"

With those words, I strode confidently toward Jorrell. I had no idea why he was here, but that was the least of my concerns.

I made my way to Jorrell's side and casually looped my arm through his, offering him a radiant smile. "Honey, what brings you here? Did you come looking for me?"

Jorrell was taken aback by my sudden approach. Upon recognizing me, his expression soured, a storm of anger brewing behind his eyes.

He probably thinks I'm clinging to him, doesn't he?

But there's no time for explanations now, not with Anatol and Skylynn watching. To avoid a humiliating retreat, I have no choice but to take advantage of Jorrell's presence.

"You? What are you doing here?"

His voice was a low growl, barely containing his fury, yet I could sense every bit of it.

"Do me a favor, will you? Remember, you owe me one for my first time."

I'm not sure what kind of man Jorrell is, or whether he'll play along with my act. My confidence is shaky at best.

Jorrell's gaze was filled with irritation as he looked at me, his eyes deep and inscrutable. I couldn't fathom his thoughts, but something told me he was not a man to be trifled with.
