“That was a cool one”. Anastasia groaned after the make-out session with Alex. “You better get out before anyone sees you here”. Alex warned, clearly annoyed she had overstayed her welcome. “But you were my first and that was great”. Anastasia pouted while gathering her clothes scattered on the floor. She must admit she didn't know Alex would fall for her seductive ways, but it worked perfectly fine and she couldn't be less happier because she had succeeded. The only thing she has to do is to make Alex settle with her so she can be the Luna. She didn't care about her mate or whoever Alex's mate was. Alex is hers and only hers. Alex scoffed and rolled his eyes. “Why did I even bed a whore this time?"he asked his wolf. “Because you couldn't keep your dick in your pants”. Kairo shot back, clearly disgusted with the she wolf touching her more than usual. He only yearns for his mate but this stupid human of his is messing everything up. “ He just hopes their mate will be kind enough to forgive them, else he's going to make Alex regret everything. “First time,are you kidding me. Anastasia just grinned and walked towards the door. “Wait!". Alex spoke, halting Anastasia in the process. “It was just a fling,we just had fun, so there's no need for you to feel attached. Do I make myself clear". Alex smirked. Anastasia frowned, clearly annoyed by his comment, but she quickly regained her composure and made a fake smile. She nodded and left. “You think you can get rid of me just like that. We shall see about that. I definitely get what I want. It's me or no one else”. Anastasia laughed at her thought.

“Darling, why did you leave before that time? Does your tummy still hurt". Beta Nick spoke through Mina's door since she had refused to open it. Due to his high senses, he could hear stifles from the room. Clearly, his daughter had been crying but he was not going to press further until she was ready to voice it out. “I'm heading downstairs. I've placed a drug by your door, do well to take it". Beta Nick said while glancing up once again, hoping to see his daughter come out, but he was disappointed. He walks towards his room and halts when he notices the look on his wife's face. “What's wrong babe". He enquired while caressing her cheeks. “Is she alright". Nina asked with worry evident on her face. “I don't know what's wrong but I think something happened at the party that we don't know about, but we will just let her be,” Beta Nick replied. “She's a strong one, I know she can handle it, that's why she hasn't spoke about it". Nina replied.

Mina applied make-up to cover the wrinkles left under her eyes due to crying because she knew nothing passes by her mother unnoticed. Checking whether everything was intact in her bag, she headed downstairs. “You are quite early today. Hope you had a nice sleep”. Nina spoke, glancing at her daughter. “Yes mom what's there for breakfast today?". Mina asked. “As usual your favorite, enjoy your meal hunny". Nina ruffled the top of her hair while heading towards the kitchen to fetch her daughter her meal. “Mom, where's dad?". Mina asked. “He has to attend some important meeting with the Alpha. They have to fix a date for Alex's coronation as the Alpha, which will be held during his birthday". Nina spoke over her shoulder. Mina stuffed the food into her mouth as if there was no tomorrow. Nina was intrigued by her daughter's attitude this morning. She laughed. “Why are you laughing mom?". Mina asked, confused by her mom's laughter. “You need to take your time sweetie else you will choke on your food". Nina explained. “It's not my fault you make delicious meals. I just can't help my unsatiated appetite". Mina replied. “All done, I have to go to school, mum". Mina said, “Take care and have a great day". Nina spoke while Mina opened her door to settle in the car.

Mina sped off to the pack house, getting out quickly as soon as she reached there. She made a mental note not to bump into Alex. She didn't want to act awkwardly towards him else he would suspect something was wrong. Guess the favor wasn't on her side when she bumped into a hard chest. Without a doubt, she realized it was Alex. She quickly regained her stance and bowed, saying sorry before walking into the house looking for Amya. “That's strange". Alex thought.“Did Mina really avoid him without saying hello? There's definitely something wrong with her today, he just let it slide and walked to the training grounds. They had to start training sessions with the warriors of the pack and he knew he was going to receive a lecture from Noah for being late on the first day. That guy is so time-conscious.

“Did you miss me ?". Alex asked Noah. “Get your ass over here dude". Noah spoke with venom. “Patience dude, let's begin". Alex spoke poking Noah's shoulder. “Everybody picks a partner and spars with him or her". Noah ordered. “What do you say about being my sparring partner" asked Alex, grinning. “Bring it on". Noah spoke. Although Alex was stronger than him due to his rank, this was definitely going to be fun and he could get to punch him as pay back for being late. Noah smirked.

Mina knocked on Amya's door, which was quickly opened. “I'm sorry I'm late, I didn't sleep early last night”. Amya spoke quickly to avoid Mina's wrath. Mina glanced at her and nodded. She quietly followed Mina out of the pack house. Getting into the car,Mina drove in the direction of the school. “Girl, we are thirty minutes early today,why don't I grab a burger and a coffee on the way". Amya spoke, blinking her eyes to make Mina understand. “Well, that's alright". Mina answered. “Why did you leave the party yesterday without informing me”. Amya spoke wrongly. Mina frowned because this was definitely a topic she wanted to avoid. “I had an upset stomach so I had to leave before time". Mina replied, glancing everywhere but Amya. “You know I'm not going to believe that lie but I will let you be this time around". Amya spoke. “But next time do well to inform me, I was worried sick,. I thought someone had kidnapped you”. Amya added, pouting. Mina giggled. After ordering the food,they headed to school.

Upon reaching the entrance, they noticed a lot of students gathered in the parking lot. “What do you think it is this time around”. Amya asked, glancing out the window to get a close view. “Unless we find out”. Mina replied. Getting down from the car,the girls approached the crowd. “Can someone tell us what's going on here”. Amya asked a member of their pack. “It's Anastasia who is bickering with someone claiming the future Alpha is her boyfriend and mate". The person explained, “My brother doesn't have a mate yet, since he's not yet eighteen. That bitch is clearly lying". Amya spoke through gritted teeth. “Let her be, don't waste your energy". Mina spoke, stopping Amya from moving further into the crowd. “Why do you look unconcerned,Alex is your friend, you are supposed to defend him”. Amya accused her. “What do you expect me to do? If you want to go, I'm not going to stop you. I have a class to attend". Mina spoke, walking away. “Wait for me". Amya said, running after Mina. Why was she walking so fast? She was clearly tired from all the running. “See you after class Amya”. Mina grinned. “Fuck you Mina". Amya shot back. “You love me dear". Mina replied, pouting. She giggled when Amya walked away stomping her feet.

As soon as she entered class, she submitted her homework and sat in her seat. Class was boring today. She went through her phone for a while. Finally, the bell rang for closing time. They usually close early on Fridays. Happy to go home, she picked up her bag and walked out of the classroom flashing Mr Martin a smile. She met Amya on the way who ranted about her lectures today and some guy pulling a prank on her and how the class made fun of her. After explaining,Mina couldn't help but burst into laughter. She knew Amya was troublesome, so it could be a pay back for something she did to someone. “Wait for me here, I want to grab a book from the library, then we head home OK”. Mina said, hurrying into the library. Quickly greeting the librarian, she spotted the book on the shelf,did the required processing and thanked the librarian. “Not so fast”. Anastasia spoke, stopping her in the hallway. “Have you been avoiding me?”. She asked. Mina grinned and stomped her feet, clearly annoyed with someone interrupting her. “Excuse me". Mina spoke through gritted teeth. “Well, I won't take much of your time. I just want to inform you that Alex is my mate and boyfriend and I know you are his best friend. I don't want you anywhere close to him". Anastasia explained. “And what if I don't do as you said”. Mina spoke, raising her eyebrows. “Then you leave me with no choice than to make you regret it". Anastasia replied venomously. “Firstly, you can't tell me what to do and, lastly, Alex is my friend, so I will be around him whenever I like, now get out of my way before I push you myself. I have limited patience”. Mina warned. Anastasia laughed and walked away, clearly happy to make Mina jealous.

“What took you so long?". Amya asked when Mina entered the driver's seat. “I just randomly bumped into someone unimportant, let's drive home”. Mina replied, not watching to explain herself any further. Amya remained quiet, taking glimpses of Mina's quiet change in attitude. “Thanks for the ride, what do you say about a sleepover and movie night”. Amya spoke. “Great count me in". Mina replied and drove towards her house. “Who was that in that car". Noah spoke, scaring Amya with Alex clearly standing behind him. “You scared the hell out of me. That's Mina and the car is her new car”. Amya spoke, heading towards the house.

“Mom, I clearly hurt myself on my own”. Amya spoke when the Luna asked about the bruise on her shoulder which she managed to avoid from Mina's keen eyes. “I don't believe it, you clearly got into a fight”. Luna Ayla spoke. Amya watched as her mother's eyes glazed over. She knew at first glance,her mom was mindlinking someone. Soon, an Omega knocked on the door and entered with a first aid kit. The luna thanked the Omega and dismissed her. “We need to treat it before it gets infected. You haven't shifted yet, else it will leave a scar”. The luna explained. Amya nodded. “You need to stop being clumsy and a trouble maker and start acting like the Alpha's daughter you are”. Luna Ayla explained, heading out the door. “Take a rest”. Luna Ayla explained. “Mom, I have invited Mina over for a sleepover”. Amya spoke, watching her mother's expression. The Luna smiled. “You girls should have fun but sleep early”. The Luna spoke, making Amya smile.

“How was school today darling?”. Beta Nick asked his daughter. “School was cool dad”. Mina replied, dropping her bag on the sofa. She reached out for the cookies at the diner but she was stopped by a hit on her hand. “Ouch mom”. Mina spoke annoyed. “Go wash your hands before you touch those cookies”. Nina spoke laughing at her daughter's expression. Mina lazily walked into the kitchen to wash her hands. While biting into the cookies she spoke. “Mom and dad,Amya invited me for a sleepover and I agreed. Can I go". Mina asked, looking down. “Of course darling”. Her dad spoke, glancing at his mate's expression. “Fine, finish eating and hurry to pack your belongings for the night. Don't forget to sleep early". Nina spoke. Mina nodded and rushed upstairs.

“You made it”. Amya spoke, grabbing Mina into a hug. “I've already set the snacks and everything”. Amya replied. “What about the movies?". Mina asked. “Definitely horror movies”. Amya spoke. “No screaming today”. Mina spoke clearly confused as to why Amya hates horror movies but keeps watching them. Amya nodded. While watching the movie,Amya held on to Mina's shoulder, clearly scared by the horrific scene on the television. Mina laughed. “I want to pee. I will be back soon”. Mina said. “ OK, I'm pausing the movie, don't take long”. Amya spoke. Mina nodded and walked away. Upon finishing, she grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge, drinking to her satisfaction. “Is that moans I hear?". Mina spoke. When she reached the door of Alex's room, the moans got louder. Curiosity got the best of her as she peeked into the room, coming to a halt seeing Alex moaning and thrusting into an Omega from the pack. “It wasn't only one girl now two". Mina thought about giving up on her crush on Alex. She couldn't believe Alex was a playboy. He definitely wasn't the guy from her childhood. She closed the door and tiptoed into the living room knowing clearly Amya would still be waiting for her. “Sorry for being late, I grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge.

After the movie,they felt sleepy so they headed towards Amya's room. “Good night Amya”. Mina spoke, receiving snores from Amya. She giggled. Clearly Amya had slept. She closed her eyes wishing for sleep to consume her, but she couldn't sleep with her mind constantly drifting to Alex. “Why did she have to see these things all the time”.
