C6 We Won't Let the Evil Couple be Happy 2
Jiang Lingyuan tenderly stroked Tang Ruoyun's head and whispered, "I've purchased the Eternal Love for our engagement!"
He rose to his feet and gazed at Tang Xinran, radiant as a brilliant beam of sunlight, desire flickering in his eyes. She was the unrivaled beauty of River City, the perfect match for him, if only she had a father like Tang Mingcheng.
Her fixation on the Eternal Love ring they had chosen together was proof of the depth of Tang Xinran's love for him.
He vowed to himself that once he achieved his goals, he would compensate her generously.
Indeed, she was the woman who had genuinely stirred his emotions. When Jiang Lingyuan spoke again, his voice unintentionally softened with the same tenderness and indulgence he used to reserve for Tang Xinran, "Xin, please don't make a scene."
Tang Xinran recoiled at his words, "Do you think you have the right to call me Xin? Stop talking to me in that tone and go coddle your Ruoyun!"
Jiang Lingyuan had never spoken to Tang Ruoyun with such affection. She clenched her teeth in secret, her expression forlorn as she attempted to leave, "Lingyuan... Xinran is my sister. I just want her to be happy... Give her the Eternal Love!"
A flicker of irritation crossed Jiang Lingyuan's face. Damn it, he couldn't help but lose his composure around Tang Xinran!
He grasped Tang Ruoyun's arm, "The Eternal Love suits only us. I've placed the order. Here it is! Shop assistant, please package it!"
Tang Xinran's eyes caught the date on the order – the very day she and Jiang Lingyuan had picked out the rings. The female ring had been too large, so he had paid a deposit to have it resized.
And now, he was brandishing the order for the couple's ring, intending to give it to Tang Ruoyun right in front of her!
Tang Xinran seethed with anger. It wasn't so much about the rings themselves, but she couldn't stand to see this despicable duo get their way.
"This ring was resized to fit my finger. I am the one who placed the order!"
Jiang Lingyuan said icily, "Enough with the drama. I'm the one who paid for the order! Don't delude yourself into thinking that a pair of rings will sway my feelings. The naivety of our youth wasn't true love. The one I care for is Ruoyun!"
"Heh... How long ago was this ring even ordered? You... have reached new levels of shamelessness that I must admit are impressive..."
Tang Xinran slipped the female ring onto her finger, defiantly stating, "Let's see who dares to take it from me today..."
A flicker of rage crossed Jiang Lingyuan's face as he glanced at the nearby sales associates, warning, "You all saw the order. Any breach of contract..."
The sales associates closed in on Tang Xinran. "Miss, if you don't remove the ring, we'll be forced to call the police and report a robbery..."
"I was the first to come into the store to buy a ring today. There's such a thing as first-come, first-served..."
"The gentleman has an order. Orders take precedence..."
During the standoff, Faang Manna barked angrily, "Are you just going to stand there and watch as someone unrelated to the transaction walks away with a ring that a customer has reserved? If you don't act now, we will take our complaint to your boss at the mall and ensure you're all fired..."
The sales associates exchanged uneasy glances. They couldn't risk offending any Yunsell clients, but it was clear that the woman trying to take the ring was alone and vulnerable. The store manager, unapologetically, directed the staff to seize Tang Xinran's arm, and she herself reached for the ring in Tang Xinran's grasp...
Tang Xinran, teeth gritted, held on tightly. The manager, wary of injuring a customer, hesitated, resulting in a tense impasse.
Faang Manna suddenly lunged forward, twisting Tang Xinran's hand viciously. The pain forced Tang Xinran to release her grip.
Seizing the moment, Faang Manna yanked the ring from Tang Xinran's finger, leaving a long, swollen red mark in its wake.
Then, a stern male voice cut through the tension, "Let her go!"
