C1 Buying You for One Night!

In the luxurious European-style bedroom, Manrong was forcefully pinned onto the king-size bed.

"You know how to moan, don't you?" The man's words were suggestive, but his voice was cold and devoid of warmth.

"Jingming, do you remember that I'm supposed to be your wife? I drove three hours because of your call, and you want me to moan just to make your little fling jealous?!"

Manrong's eyes burned with anger as she swung a slap, only to have her wrist caught mid-air.

"Don't forget, we only had a so-called 'wedding' ceremony without any legal binding. From that standpoint, you don't deserve to be called Mrs. Gu."

Jingming gripped her chin, forcing her to look up. "Now, if you still want the Qin family to have Gu family support, start moaning for me—make it as wild as possible!"

His icy gaze sent a chill through her, and in her fury and humiliation, Manrong trembled, biting her lip so hard it drew blood.

"In your dreams!"

The vivid red against her pale lips was strangely alluring, catching Jingming's eye for a brief moment before it was replaced by irritation and disdain.

Without hesitation, he tightened his grip, and Manrong couldn't help but cry out in pain. Her usually clear voice, strained with restraint, carried an unintended hint of a moan.

The sound had an immediate effect. Outside the bedroom, there was a loud bang, followed by the sound of footsteps running away. Clearly, someone had slammed the door and left.

Jingming's face lit up with satisfaction as he let go of Manrong and hurried out after them.

Manrong touched her face, turning to look at the vanity. The woman in the mirror had bruises on her chin, looking both pitiful and ridiculous.

She slowly got out of bed, left the bedroom, and stood at the top of the stairs, looking down. Gu Jingming was holding a delicate and beautiful woman in his arms, his demeanor as domineering as ever, but his expression and tone were filled with a tenderness and affection that Qin Manrong had never seen before.

So, this man wasn't really as cold as an iceberg; he just reserved all his warmth for one person—the woman in his arms, Lyi Jing. Qin Manrong let out a sarcastic smile.

After all that running, she only managed to cover the distance of a staircase before being caught in the living room. Should she say Miss Lyi was lacking in stamina, or was it something more cunning?

As if sensing something, Lyi Jing, who was struggling in Gu Jingming's embrace, slightly lifted her head and met Qin Manrong's cold, mocking gaze. Her face stiffened, as if frightened, and she quickly buried her head again. But Qin Manrong knew she hadn't imagined the flash of triumph and provocation in Lyi Jing's eyes.

With a self-deprecating chuckle, she stepped downstairs, walking past the pair caught up in their tragic love scene without a sideways glance, heading straight for the door.

Feeling ignored was infuriating, and Gu Jingming's face darkened as he barked, "Qin Manrong, where are you going?"

Hearing him, Qin Manrong turned back, her once bright face now cool and elegant with a hint of frost. "You're right. We never registered our marriage, so I don't qualify as your wife. Once Qin's Group's tech company is up and running, even this pretense will be over. So, Mr. Gu, why should it matter to you where I go?"

The moment she stepped out of the villa, tears finally escaped her eyes. This sham of a marriage had only lasted a month, but it felt more exhausting than her entire twenty years of life.
