The Lab Room.

A slow musical rhythm is being played, if you listen closely, you can hear a low humming. The lab size can be considered not huge but not too small either. It's still equipped with the best lab equipment of both traditional and latest tech. Some chemical shelves along with glass-protected shelves of Traditional Chinese Medicinal herbs are respectively on right and left walls.

On a table near the western right corner, different slides are put beside the microscope. In front of the table, a beautiful woman with gorgeous light brown hair with a tint of red in them. Her hands are holding a research pad and her glossy red lips are wrapped around the pencil top and there is a slight vibration because of her humming. Her greenish-blue eyes are concentrated on the slides. She seems to be in deep thought.

The door of the room suddenly opened and a cheerful voice of a girl echoed, "Young Miss, it's almost time to leave for the crowning ceremony of the young master of Yao family. You still need to get ready for the banquet." Her scream shocked her out of her tranced.

"Xu Mei, can you not bust me like that all the time, and what's with all that excitement, it's not like I finally got rid of that hard glue like husband who doesn't go away no matter what I do!" Lan Yirong said with some annoyance.

"Sorry, Miss. But young master Yao is really mysterious and it's going to be his first public appearance. Except for close family and friends, no one has seen him before. It is said that all these years both Yao and Feng family has meticulously trained him to be an exceptional heir all these years. I heard that he is really handsome but his personality is a little cold. Though it's expected since Feng family is military orientated family." Xu Mei chattered.

"Alright! Alright! Are you my assistant or his? I'll see how exceptional he is once we reach the banquet. Let's go." Lan Yirong said while finishing arranging her research papers, notes and putting away the slides.

Both of them left the room and walked into the corridor. Xu Mei spoke up, "Miss, your stylist, clothes, and everything else has been arranged in your residence above."

The underground base has been made secretly under her official lab which also has her personal residence on the top floor of the building. This is the base she built for her researches which she doesn't want to make public and other matters. The only people who know about it are her best friend and research partner in many projects, Chen Huang with his partner Gu Tong who is the 2nd young master of the Gu Family, her professor Meng Fang, her assistant Xu Mei and some of her trusted subordinates and guards.

Meng Fang is the professor who guided her during her Ph.D. which she got at the age of 17. She truly respects him and his talent. He is only 28 years old and has achieved so much in the medical field. So, when she graduated, she roped him in her private research center. Xu Mei is said to be an assistant but Lan Yirong is very close to her as she has grown up with her. Xu Mei was arranged by the family since her birth to take care of her, be her playmate and be an aid when grown up. Chen Huang is her classmate who has the same brain cell as her and loves to indulge himself in research. As Gu Tong is 2nd young master of the Gu Family, she has met him frequently at many banquets, but she was not very familiar with him until she learned of him being Chen Huang's boyfriend in high school.

Lan Yirong was in a special class of geniuses in high school. This is where she met Chen Huang who was as young as her in their peers. He was a scholarship-based student from an orphanage. When they met and became friends, they instantly hit it off. After learning that he was gay in their final year of high school, she was very supportive of him. These two are also the reason for their current biggest research project at the underground base which is a reproduction of humans through DNA fusion of two people through blood cells and then develop a fetus to produce a baby by artificial womb technology. They have been studying this for 3 years and have made many breakthroughs. They are really close to success. Their research is a secret since it’ll be a huge breakthrough in the medical field and many things will be changing in the medical world. Same-sex couples can also get their own biological children.

The Gu family is an orthodox family who will never allow their direct descendants to be with a man because they won't be able to produce more outstanding descendants who have the pure bloodline of the main Gu family. Gu Tong was also ready to fight his family and also has capital for that because all through these years, he has got a lot of success in the business world. He has his own exceptional engineering team and a tech company that specializes in medical equipment which can explain his involvement in Lan Yirong's base. Lan Yirong and Gu Tong are behind the scene bosses of the Huang Group of Technologies. Gu Tong is the founder and the CEO of the company while Lan Yirong is one of the largest investors.

Even though Gu Tong was ready to break it off with his family for him, Chen Huang was not convinced. Because Chen Huang is an orphan, he values family relations a lot and doesn't want Gu Tong to do this. These sequences led to the research of artificial embryo production.

As for our Miss Lan, she has rather an undertone funny experience in her life. Lan Yirong belongs to an ancient medical family. Even though the Lan family is an ancient medical family, they have not just stuck to Traditional Chinese Medicine. They have evolved with timeand have found the best combinations with TCM and advanced medical technology. She is one of the most brilliant heiresses in the history of the Lan Family. It is stated that the heiress will be married from the day she is born to the person who will be her protector but she can only meet her husband on her 21st birthday which is the day of her crowning.

Lan Yirong has always opposed this marriage. She believes that she doesn’t need any protector and she won’t marry a guy who she doesn’t even know anything about. After she turned 18, she moved out of the Lan family main house to her current residence in the name of gaining experience as an individual. Once Lan Yirong and Xu Mei walked out of the corridor, they reached the main hall and saw Chen Huang and Professor Meng. "Hey! Beauty! Going on the search for your prince at the banquet?" Chen Huang said with a teasing tone. Lan Yirong rolled her eyes and said, "I don't need a prince but a king. A man who can make me fall head over hill for him. I don't think so I can find him in these so-called banquets which I have been attending since I was a baby."

"Maybe, who knows your luck may hit off this time." Chen Huang said and laughed. Lan Yirong glared at him and said, "Fuck off!"

"Language! Young lady." Meng Fang said with a smile and Chen Huang went into another fit of laughter, "You don't sound like an heiress at all." he said.

"Alright, we're leaving." After saying that she took Xu Mei with her and left for the lift. She went to her residence directly to get ready for the banquet.
