C12 Dave Got Fired?

"But, Sir. So what if I feel attracted to Eve and want to get close to her? Isn't that okay if it doesn't interfere with my work?"

Dave finally asked. He was starting to wonder about the prohibition that his boss had just stated. Why was he strictly forbidden to get close to Eve? What could it be? His mind was wandering all over the place.

Hearing the assistant's protest, Gery was outraged. He thought it was a deliberate act of defiance.

"Oh, now you dare to go against my orders, right? Whereas usually you always say yes to whatever I want. See how you've changed since you got to know that girl. That's why I told you to stay away from her, Dave. It's all for your good!" Gery argued with his opinion that everything was Eve's fault.

Dave was getting suspicious. "I have been obeying all your orders because they are worth obeying, Sir. But this time, I'm sorry that I have to ask your absurd prohibition because, in my opinion, my closeness to Eve in this office is none of your business."

Gery glared even more. Unlike before, she didn't expect Dave to be even bold towards him.

"Okay, since you're the one who decided not to obey me anymore, don't blame me if I choose a new assistant soon. I don't want to be assisted by a colleague who is no longer on the same vision with me!" said Gery in a threatening tone.

"I'm sorry, Sir. But I think your prohibition is unfounded. That's all. If that's why you're going to fire me, then I think your policy is questionable. I will also not hesitate to go to Madam Daphne to demand justice--"

"Do as you please. I wonder if my grandma will want to meet you, huh? I'll make sure you leave this company before you get a chance to meet her!" Furious that Dave had dared to threaten him, Gery immediately went to the telephone on her desk and pressed the button to call security.

"Security, come quickly. I want Dave Wilson kicked out of my office and Vinestra. Now!" He snapped at the receiver.

That, of course, left Dave stunned. He frowned as if he didn't expect his boss to be so extreme. It wasn't long before two burly security men arrived and grabbed Dave, who tried to say he could get out him self without being forced.

"I'm not a prisoner, and I don't need to be tackled like this, Sir! You've gone too far!" Dave said in protest and with his face red with anger. Security also let Dave go out of reluctance. Dave was usually a high-ranking officer in their eyes. His position in Vinestra had also been as Gery's assistant for a long time, so they still had respect for him.

Dave finally straightened his suit, which was messy because he had clashed shoulders with the two securities earlier. He then approached Gery's figure softly, saying, "I didn't expect you to be so jealous of my closeness with Eve that I had to be fired like this."

"What did you say? Who would be jealous anyway? How dare you accuse me like that, Dave!" Gery looked so angry, and now both hands had grabbed Dave's neck collar, and two security guards were also preparing to separate the two men.

"Your behavior exposed that fact, Sir. You wouldn't be that angry if it weren't for jealousy. Admit your feelings, and let's have a healthy competition for her attention--"

"Are you crazy, huh?" Gery had already punched Dave's face, making a blue mark on the corner of his assistant's lip.

"Get out of here before I beat you up!" Gery ordered as he turned to go to the bathroom in one corner of his room.

Inside the bathroom, Gery approached the wasteful, turned on the water faucet, and immediately washed his hands and face and wetting some of his head, which felt extremely hot. Dave's accusation just now made him emotional at a high level. How dare his assistant say that in front of him. It felt like everyone in the office had started to stand up to him since Eve's arrival.

And as Eve's name flashed in her mind, the image of the girl with her beautiful body and sweet face immediately stirred Gery's heart. Oh my! Is Dave's accusation true? That he was jealous because he saw Dave's closeness with Eve? Does that mean he likes her? Oh, impossible! No way! Gery unconsciously cursed to herself in the bathroom. How could he possibly be interested in a troublemaking girl like Eve?

Meanwhile, Dave had left the room led by the two security guards. The two of them then stood guard at the door of Gery's room to prevent further commotion.

Dave then went to Eve's room and said goodbye to the girl because he was fired that day.

"Wh-what? Who fired you, Mr. Gery, again? Is he really out of his mind?" Eve got up and threw a tatrum.

"This really can't be helped!" Eve cursed again while clenching her fists.

Without caring about Dave's restrictions, she ran to the room where she could see Madam Daphne. Yes, she knew that only Mrs. Daphne could save Dave this time. Gery must be taught a lesson about the policy of dismissing employees carelessly! How could such an emotional person become the CEO of a company as big as Vinestra?

Dave followed Eve while flashing a sly smile. Yes, he knew Eve's reaction would be that frontal. He was sure Eve would defend him desperately in front of Madame Daphne, and his position would be saved if the big madam handled the matter.

Sofia opened the door for Eve but forbade Dave from entering the room. After Eve entered, Sofia asked Dave a question with a frown on her forehead.

"What exactly does Eve have to do with you?"

"Nothing, Sofia. Mr. Gery is just mindlessly jealous. He saw us talking to each other and then, for no other reason, fired me unilaterally today," Dave replied while shrugging his shoulders.

Sofia gave him a look of surprise and disbelief. Her brain was too busy to think about the possibilities of everything she had noticed. Sofia then went inside and left Dave at the door, waiting for the outcome of Eve's interruption to Mrs. Daphne. Would she be as lucky as Eve to survive the dismissal? Or would she be so unlucky that her time with Vinestra had to end?
