C5 A Chance to Seduce Her!

Su Xiaoyu felt like she had just unlocked a secret advantage. How could the esteemed Chairman possibly meet with just any woman? He’d be overwhelmed!

Thankfully, she had been coming up with various excuses on her way here to avoid any unexpected complications.

Tong Yuv frowned upon hearing she wouldn’t be able to meet Shen Juchuan today. “I have to see him today! If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t have offended him at the airport!”

Her main purpose for this trip was to apologize. Whether it worked or not, it was better than losing any chance to connect with Shen Juchuan.

“Airport?” Su Xiaoyu was puzzled. A series of images flashed through her mind, memories both related and unrelated to Tong Yuv, and a once-blurry face began to merge with someone she recognized. Wait, was it him?!

About two weeks ago, while chatting with friends back in the States, Su Xiaoyu heard that paparazzi had caught her brother in a relationship with a notorious playboy from Shen's Group. As a devoted fan of her brother, she was already worried about him being led astray. Learning that his partner was a notorious playboy was something she couldn’t accept.

Determined to return home, Su Xiaoyu felt a heavy responsibility to infiltrate Shen's Group. She needed to keep a close eye on that man and fend off any threats to her brother’s relationship, ensuring they could be happy together.

On the plane, bored and restless, Su Xiaoyu drank several cups of coffee, which not only kept her wide awake but also had her running to the restroom multiple times. On her third trip back to her seat, she accidentally knocked a lollipop out of a nearby baby’s hand, triggering a monumental meltdown.

Unfortunately, the man who could gently calm the crying baby was dismissive of her gratitude, instead hurling insults about her appearance and skin, leaving Su Xiaoyu defenseless against his sharp tongue.

Su Xiaoyu felt quite wronged; she hadn't meant to wake him up! Later, while waiting for a ride at the airport exit, she watched Shen Juchuan bully Tong Yuv, who had come to pick him up. Unintentionally, she felt a sense of sympathy, like they were in the same boat.

When Su Xiaoyu stepped in to defend Tong Yuv, urging her to give up on Shen Juchuan, the situation backfired. Shen Juchuan used the opportunity to make Tong Yuv resentful. Su Xiaoyu thought she must have been blind to try and help someone who didn’t respect herself.

To make matters worse, her boss turned out to be the sarcastic guy from the airport. She couldn't believe it. Was it still possible for her to apply for the assistant manager position in the department?

Tong Yuv watched as Su Xiaoyu's expression shifted from confusion to one of frustration. With a determined look, she bit her lip, pulled out a chair, and sat down again. "If I can't see Chairman Shen today, I'm not leaving!" she declared, clearly not giving up without a fight.

Given Shen Juchuan's reputation, Su Xiaoyu imagined the backstory. The Chairman and Tong Yuv had been involved, but the flirtatious Chairman quickly found someone new and abandoned Tong Yuv. Hoping to rekindle their relationship, Tong Yuv had come to the airport to talk things over with him. However, the Chairman wasn't interested, which led to Su Xiaoyu being sent to deal with Tong Yuv.

Su Xiaoyu rubbed her chin, feeling like a detective uncovering the truth. There was only one truth!

"Alright, alright, relationships are mutual," Su Xiaoyu said impatiently, waving her hand at Tong Yuv. "The Chairman is busy and doesn't have time for you. You should leave soon!"

"I'm not going to bother the boss while he's busy! I'll wait until he has some free time today, no matter how long it takes!" Tong Yuv declared firmly.

"No way!" Su Xiaoyu opposed just as firmly.

"Why not?" Tong Yuv asked, her eyes flashing with anger.

"Uh..."

Why not? Su Xiaoyu wanted to say it was because getting rid of Tong Yuv was a task assigned to her by the boss. Although she didn't want to admit it, this was the reason she stayed at Shen's Group, replacing the former assistant to the chairman. If she didn't handle this well, would the boss fire her?

He definitely would. She knew all too well how difficult that man could be!

But saying it outright seemed too harsh, and she couldn't stand seeing a beautiful woman in tears, even if this one was a bit clueless.

"How about this: you leave your number, and when the boss has some time, I'll call you?" Su Xiaoyu hesitated for a moment before suggesting.

They say time heals all wounds. Maybe this woman, who seems so hung up on the boss now, will have a change of heart later on.
