C32 Things Have Changed

The moment Chiang Mochen's words of comfort were heard, Yan Xi let out all her emotions and tears flowed down her face.

While she cried, she choked in between sobs and said, "I'm sorry. Marrying you was the best decision I made and I'm really happy to be married to you. I shouldn't be crying over such things …"

"You don't need to put a front and pretend to be someone you're not in front of me." Chiang Mochen gently stroked her back, again and again.

Perhaps it was his gentle gesture of comfort, Yan Xi didn't stop crying until there were no more tears to shed.

"All finished?"

Yan Xi wiped her nose, then said, "Yes!" She let Mochen go and looked at the time, "Oh my goodness, it's so late already, I have to get dinner ready!"

When dinner was finished, they leaned on each other in the dining room. Chiang Mochen reached out, grabbed the teacup and put it on the table. He held her waist tightly, took a deep breath and inhaled her fragrance coming from her neck.

"I heard some changes were made in Huihuang Entertainment. I was very worried about you. I was waiting for you to call me, but you didn't."

If Yan Xi made a request, the request would be immediately granted. After all, she was the woman of Imperial City's Huihuang Entertainment's CEO , Chiang Mochen. Wouldn't it be a hassle to go to such length to seek revenge on Bai Luofan herself? Everything she wanted, it would be within her reach.

"Keep a close eye on Huihuang Entertainment's Bai Luofan and send more people to protect Yan Xi covertly."

Yan Xi was sleeping soundly in Chiang Mochen's arms when sister called.

She opened her eyes and realised she was huggung Chiang Mochen tightly. She got embarrased as she got up quietly, " Hello, It's me, Sister Xia."

"Yan Xi, I didn't want to wake you, but you'd better come to the company quickly. Bai Luofan issued you an ultimatum, asking you to immediately end your role in the film and accept the lingerie advertisement, or the company will block any opportunities you have till your contract ends."

"Okay, I'll head over now."

After Yan Xi hung up the phone, she went to Chiang Mochen and kissed his cheek 'goodbye'. Then she left the mansion quietly.

In the bedroom, Chiang Mochen slowly opened his eyes and smiled.

He was already awake when Yan Xi secretly gave him a kiss on his cheek. He was very happy.

Yan Xi knew her limits, if she knew she couldn't do it, she won't do it.

Now the disturbance has started again, Chiang Yumeng had continuously instigated Bai Luofan to block Yan Xi. However, to Yan Xi, this was just a trivial matter and she would wait patiently for the right opportunity to give Chiang Yumeng an unimaginable surprise.

Huihuang Entertainment suddenly released a notice stating Yan Xi would be endorsing a certain brand in a lingerie advertisement.

People in the public started assuming Yan Xi was trying to gain popularity at the expense of selling herself and to humiliate her movie queen's reputation. There were also people who said that she was at the end of her days in showbiz and had no other choice but to accept such activities.

However, no matter how much was circulating, Yan Xi didn't respond. It was as if she had disappeared like those two years.

The video of Bai Luofan and Chiang Yumeng was still ambient online. While everyone criticize dChiang Yumeng for being innocent on the surface and secretly being a mistress, ruining the relationship of others. Some people were still questioning why Yan Xi was putting up with Huihuang Entertainment!
