When Bai Luofan arrived, he was astonished. From the parking lot to entering the hotel lobby, he saw all the people around him were very proud and arrogant. No one thought much of him or paid any attention to him, a small CEO of an entertainment company.

Enduring the humiliation, he found his seat across the aisle from Yan Xi.

Yan Xi walked over to him. He coughed a bit, worried someone would hear his conversation with Yan Xi, which may affect his future. He wasn't too happy why Yan Xi was so extravagant and grumbled the thought in his mind.

She is wearing such a grand dress to watch a concert! Looking at her jewellery, how could much did the necklace even cost?!?!

He had to admit no one was able to replace Yan Xi's beauty. But the fact was, Chiang Yumeng was his first love and was all coquettish towards him, he had to give up on Yan Xi.

Yan Xi seeing through his thoughts with a glance, she said "Don't worry. These people here have no interest in hearing your gossip."

Bai Luofan frowned when he heard her tone, degrading him even, "Please remember you're still an artist under Huihuang Entertainment. Coming to such an event would definitely have people talking!"

"Talk?" Yan Xi pursed her lips and smiled that was not a smile, "So it's my fault my life got better after I left you?"

Bai Luofan couldn't say anything, he was speechless.

He was not expecting Yan Xi to not be affected from the break up. She showed no signs of heartache at all.

"I came to see you today to talk about business. The advertisement that the company is assigned to you would be good for you. As for the film 'The Evening', you can continue filming it as long as you like. However, there is one condition. That is you have to co-operate with Yumeng and you have to accommodate her to whatever she says. I'll also make an announcement to the media that we have have not been together for a while now. That way, Yumeng will not be continued to be labelled as the other woman."

"You have to accept Director James's movie offer and convince him to allow Yumeng have a role in the movie. This is not an opportunity everyone has so don't be stupid to fight me over this for the sake of revenge!"

Yan Xi scoffed.

She was very thankful Director James recognized her acting ability, but right now, she couldn't have Chiang Yumeng act with her. She wasn't going to sacrifice her future at their expense, but rather, she didn't want to be used by them again.

"I'm afraid I can't, I've contacted them already and declined their offer."

"What? Your schedules are arranged by the company, who gave you the right to decline their offer? When you decided to employ Sister Xia as your assistant back then, I gave you face! Don't think for a moment I would let you get away with it because we have a history. If you insist on being this way, I will take legal action in accordance with the terms of the contract. "

Yan Xi's demeanor had not change which made it difficult for Bai Luofan to coerce her.

He thought with the famous directors offering Yan Xi a role in their movie, this was a great opportunity to help Chiang Yumeng rise on top. After hearing Yan Xi had declined the movie offers, he was annoyed.

"Yan Xi, I suggest you carefully think about it. If you keep this up, it won't do you any good."

Yan Xi held her forehead in despair, wanting Bai Luofan to feel he succeed in his threats. She awkwardly turned around, "But I've already declined. I can't go back on my words. There is the advertisement the company arranged for me, so I will do that next week. You can then arrange the reporters to interview me. I'll do as you say so Chiang Yumeng's name can be cleared."

"You're really willing to help Yumeng?" There was hope in Bai Luofan's eyes.

Yan Xi confirmed, "I'm still an artist with the company until my contract ends, so isn't it all part of business?"

"That's great! I am very relieved to hear you say that!"

Bai Luofan was worried Yan Xi would stand her ground but to his surprise, he never expected her to be so lenient like how she was before.

There was more he wanted to say to Yan Xi but she had already gone back to her seat to watch the concert that was about to start.

Bai Luofan looked around and saw the crowd was all industry celebrities. He knew who they were but none of them paid any attention to who he was.

After sitting there for five minutes, he got up and left the venue.

Yan Xi smirked to herself and thought Bai Luofan would have a bit of conscience left in him but it turned out he had lost it. It was apparent, he was still content in using her as Chiang Yumeng's stepping stone. Since that was the case, she wanted to see if Chiang Yumeng had such luck.

Bai Luofan immediately went back the company after he had Yan Xi's agreement. He arranged the break up announcement. That same day, to avoid Yan Xi going back on her agreement, the company officially announced Yan Xi has accepted to do the lingerie advertisement of a certain brand.

In a matter of seconds, people were cursing Yan Xi for being shameless.

"I thought she was pure and innocent. She was the movie queen that didn't need to use her body to sell herself short. What a shame, I really liked her!"

"She's the same as Chiang Yumeng. Chiang Yumeng is a mistress and you are only a third-rate actress."

"I wonder how much the advertisement will pay her. She's so shameless!"

As soon as Chiang Yumeng saw the online trolls, she joyfully said to herself, "Yan Xi, you can only compete with me in your next life!"

She was concerned Yan Xi would affect her status, but now she was sure to win the best actress award. As for Yan Xi's future, with the company suppressing all opportunities for her, there is no chance for her to get back on her feet in this lifetime.

Once she takes the best actress title aka movie queen and has married Bai Luofan, not even Yan Xi would be qualified to be a pain in her neck.

At the same moment, Yan Xi received Bai Luofan's break up notice letter that would be announced publicly, "Recite this all word for word. Don't say anything negative in front of the reporters."

Yan Xi held the letter in her hand and thought it funny. Could Bai Luofan be any less shameless? Shame must not be in his vocabulary!

He could fabricate lies for the sake of his mistress.

What they didn't know was Yan Xi had enough evidence to dismiss their lies. Furthermore, Sister Xia and Chen Yu were supporting her, so there was nothing to be afraid of.

In the car, Chen Yu was concerned and said, "The evidence can be made public any time. There's also Chiang Yumeng and Bai Luofan's recording. It will prove they were targeting you and have been scheming against you this whole time."

"Okay, I understand. Let's have everything prepared and give them a pleasant surprise." Yan Xi replied calmly.

Sister Xia, who stood on the side, clenched her fists and said "I can't wait to see how those scumbags will fall!"

Yan Xi gazed into the distance and sternly said, "In the past, I was too lenient, but now, the real game begins!"

Chen Yu and Miss Xia looked at each other but ever since they have decided to sincerely follow Yan Xi, they would help her rise back to the top again.
