I opened my eyes, trying to take in my surroundings. I could swear that I had never seen the place before. My head was throbbing, and my hands immediately went to my head to massage it.

Memories came flooding back immediately. I had made it past the gate and into the woods. There were strange sounds, and thorns had kept finding their way into my feet
