It's been one week since my proposal, we are finally back in Nicklaus's mansion since I insisted I don't want to stay in his penthouse again, he bought a new mansion and we currently staying there, well if you ask me why we didn't go back to our form mansion, it's because of the bad memories, I don't want them back.

The week has been so hectic for me, and Nelly since Nicklaus insisted on us having a grand and massive wedding, I wanted to use my hand and plan my own wedding this time around

Though Nicklaus was against it, I had to talk him into agreeing to it, well it's so surprising that I haven't heard from Marcus since he left my company and my mansion

My workers in my mansion called to inform me that he parked his stuff and left the house after the day I took back my company, thinking back to that invent I never know Marcus is that desperate to have me

All thanks to Lucas for all the sense and tactics he installed in me as a business mogul, remembering that brought tears to my soul

"I hope you will support my new decision to move on" I muttered talking to my dead husband

"He has always supported every of your move even when he's alive, so be rest assured that he's supporting you from the other side" My conscience consoled me

"Yeah..you're right" I muttered wiping my tears

"Hi Ashley check out these designs" I sighed, watching Nelly as she advance towards me with her cellphone

All thanks to my friends, she's been here helping me with everything that's going on and I couldn't be more thankful

I don't know what I would have done without her,

"Come on Ashley answer me" She nudges my shoulder, sitting beside me

"Thank you Nelly" I muttered and hugged her,

"It's fine" She patted my back

"Why am I getting all emotional since today!"

"Uhmm..maybe because tomorrow is your big day" She smiles pinching my cheeks,

A thought flash to my mind and I smirk looking at Nelly,

"How are you and Rex?" I ask, she blushed and turned to look around d before whispering

"Ohhh…somebody is already in love" I teased

"Shut the hell up, if you still need my help" She gritted between clenched teeth

"Alright, mam…." I muttered raising my two hands in surrender, she giggles flipping her hair backward

"Gosh my best friend is so dramatic" I muttered lowly but the witch heard me, and that earned me a glare

"Choose one…." She said showing me the designed wedding gowns

"Hmmmmmm….." I made to choose

"Hi ladies……."

We both turned to see it's Bianca, my joy knew no bounds as I rushed to her and engulf her in a tight hug,

She smile as we hug each other for some seconds before breaking the hug

"Look who's getting married, tomorrow"

I giggled as she pinch my nose bridge,

"It's all over the news and trusts me, I can't wait" She did a joyful dance as we all burst out laughing,

"So what are you girls up to?" She asks looking around

"We are about to select my wedding gown"

"Wow…. let's see" She giggled taking a seat

"Err…. Ashley, I think there's a little problem" Melly said and we both turned to look at her

"What?" I ask

"I think we might need to go and get the wedding cake ourselves since the caterer's car has some issue

"Alright you girls should go, while I select the gown"

"But how will you do that?" Nelly ask

"Just forward it to my WhatsApp, trust me I'm food with fashion" Bianca winked

"Alright" Nelly smiled and forward the pictures

"Alright girls, run along"

"Okay" We both shouted and rushed off, but I stopped by the door

"Bian….?"

"Yes darling"

"Help me tell Nick, I went to get the cake"

"Alright that's not an issue"

"Let's go" Nelly groan pulling me along

We met one of Nicklaus's guards outside, Nelly walked up to him and told him where to drive us.

We entered the car and the driver drove off. I smile and turned toward Nelly

"Nelly gist me about you and Rex" I giggled nudging on her shoulder, I watch as she blushed looking away as her face turned crimson red

"Ashley not now…. " She drawled looking at the guard at the driver's seat, but I'm not but I g that

She's spilling everything that happened between her and Rex

"Well actually Rex is set but heck! He's crazily possessive and rough"

I giggled watching my best friend tell me about her man

"Well the last time I checked you still love him rough"

"Ohhh….please" She rolled her eyes and we burst out laughing, suddenly

"Taata….taa…." We heard the sound of gunshot as a car double cross ours from nowhere,

My heart flipped as I hugged Nelly to myself,

"Mam….please bend you both should your heads" The driver muttered and pulled out a gun, my eyes widened immediately, as I wondered what he's doing with a gun

Seconds later, many mask guys rushed out from the other car, as they advance towards ours shooting in every corner,

With shaky hands, I pulled out my phone from my purse and dialed Nicklaus's number

"Kitten….. What's happening?" He ask guess he heard the sound of gun

"I…. I….don't know…." I couldn't completely sentence before my phone was snatched from me and thrown away,

I turned to see the driver is dead already, and Nelly is shot in the arms, she lay on the floor groaning in pains

"Get her……!" One of the men screamed and pointed at me

"No…let me go!!!!" I fought back and kick the guy holding me in his dick, and he groan in pain letting me go

I used that opportunity and run toward Nelly and tried pulling her up

"Ashley run….ru…." She whispered

"No….I can't leave you" I said dragging her up but I was forcefully pulled up, as a strong grip pulled me by my hair

"Fucking bitch" He groans, and hit me hard behind my neck, I growl in pain and pass out.
