C3 It Was Her Daughter Who Fought With My Son

Qiao Weiyi saw two children carrying their schoolbags, their heads hung as they stood against the wall quietly as she walked into the teacher's office.

One of them was a little girl in a pink and white shirt and a yellow jacket. She had a cute ponytail in a huge bow tie which swayed along with her hair every time she moved her head slightly.

The other child was a little boy donned in a white knitted shirt - his dark blue jacket had gotten so dirty that he'd taken it off and thrown it aside. It was clear that this little boy had quite a character.

The children's teacher was sitting in front of her desk and making a phone call, her brows slightly furrowed.

The teacher smiled and nodded in acknowledgement when Qiao Weiyi walked in - she pointed at Qiao, who was standing against the wall, as she continued to talk to the person on the other end of the phone.

Qiao Weiyi walked straight to her daughter.

"Qiao Nuo."

"I'm here."

Qiao Nuo's shoulders sagged slightly when she heard her mother's voice sound from behind her - she turned around to see Qiao Weiyi with a disappointed look on her face.

Zhung Niansheng, who'd been standing at the side, looked over as well when he heard Qiao Weiyi's voice. He glanced at Qiao Nuo and Qiao Weiyi for a moment before looking at the door. He then hung his head, feeling disappointed and dejected.

His father hadn't come.

He clenched his little hands tightly and tried to maintain a calm and collected appearance, not wanting to show the slightest bit of weakness.

Qiao Weiyi didn't pay Zhung Niansheng any mind as she was focused on scrutinizing her own daughter - Qiao Nuo's clothes and hair were neat and undirtied. She didn't look like she'd been fighting with another child at all.

Zhung Niansheng, on the other hand, looked disheveled and miserable -his dark green coat that had a few of its buttons ripped out beside several dirty footprints was on the ground.

Qiao Weiyi took a deep breath and knelt down before her daughter and placed her hands on her shoulders, "Qiao, can you tell me why you'd bullied one of your schoolmates?"

Qiao Nuo's shoulders sagged even more than before as she hung her head and didn't make a single sound.

"Don't you remember what the doctor said about you being in poor health?" Qiao Weiyi frowned, "You're not supposed to play with the other children, let alone fight with them - when have you become so disobedient?"

Qiao Nuo clenched her fists slightly as she murmured guiltily, "I'm sorry, Mommy, I was in the wrong. I promise not to repeat my mistakes."

Qiao Nuo looked up at Qiao Weiyi, tears welling up in her big and beautiful doe eyes.

Qiao Weiyi's heart softened when she realized that Qiao Nuo was about to cry - she couldn't bear to scold her sweet and beloved daughter.

She ran her fingers through her daughter's hair as she sighed, "Oh, Qiao - when will you give me a break?"

As Qiao Weiyi pulled Qiao Nuo into her arms, she smiled sheepishly at Zhung Niansheng, "Little boy, Qiao knows that she was in the wrong now - I'll let her apologize to you, alright?"

Zhung Niansheng was surprised that Qiao Weiyi was talking to him.

He looked at Qiao Weiyi curiously before looking at Qiao Nuo.

Qiao Nuo stuck out her tongue and grinned at him mischievously - Zhung Niansheng returned her gesture with a smile as well.

Qiao Weiyi couldn't help but feel surprised at this - why were the two of them, who'd just been fighting a while ago, able to get along so well with each other now?

Just then, a trail of footsteps sounded from outside the office.

Zhung Niansheng's dark eyes immediately lit up hopefully and wistfully - he prayed with all of his heart that his father was coming!

Luckily for Zhung Niansheng, he was not disappointed as Zhung Shiyan's tall and sturdy stature soon appeared at the door.

Zhung Shiyan couldn't help but frown slightly when he realized that Qiao Weiyi was squatting in front of Zhung Niansheng.

This was the woman from earlier.

Zhung Shiyan realized at this moment that it was her daughter who'd fought with his son.
