C8 Her Daughter Had Always Been Fond of Good-Looking People Since She Was Little
The fat man gritted his teeth nervously as Zhung Shiyan's unmoving and emotionless eyes met his. He stammered, "A-Alright, how about this? I'll personally bring my son over to your home and get him to apologize to you."
Zhung Shiyan lazily turned away and didn't say a word.
The man's heart sank - he knew that this mean that Mr. Zhung still wasn't satisfied. Alas, what else was there that he could possibly do?
Mr. Zhung definitely didn't lack money.
In fact, he was the richest person in the whole of this city.
"Please let me know if you have any requests," the man sputtered, "I'll do my best to see to it!"
"I don't want to see your son in this kindergarten ever again." Zhung Shiyan replied nonchalantly as he did not even spare a glance at the fat man.
"Okay!"
The fat man immediately nodded - even though this was the best kindergarten in the city, there were many other kindergartens aside from this one. Since the kindergarten that a child attends wasn't a particularly crucial matter, the fat man decided to agree to Mr. Zhung's terms and not risk offending him any further.
"Make sure to take good care of your son," Zhung Shiyan said to the man, "If I hear something that I would rather not hear ever again in the future, I'll make sure that you end up collecting your son's corpse instead."
The woman couldn't help but raise her head to stare at Zhung Shiyan when he finished speaking.
She shuddered in fear as she thought about just how harshly she'd spoken to Zhung Shiyan earlier.
Zhung Shiyan carried his son in his arms as he slowly stood up from where he was seated - his eyes drifted over to Qiao Weiyi and Qiao Nuo, who were sitting at a distance, and nodded his head slightly at them. Qiao Weiyi returned his gesture with a polite smile.
Just then, Qiao Nuo, who had been obediently sitting beside Qiao Weiyi this entire time, sprang up from her seat and ran over to the side of the wall to pick up Zhung Niansheng's school bag and coat. She then ran over to Zhung Shiyan and presented Zhung Niansheng's belongings to him, beaming at the man as she did so.
"Thank you."
Zhung Shiyan smiled at the little girl as he took his son's belongings with his free hand.
"You are welcome."
Qiao Nuo replied as she placed her hands behind her back - her face and the tips of her ears were slightly flushed red.
Zhung Shiyan cooed at Qiao Nuo and glanced at Qiao Weiyi once more before walking out of the office with his son in his arms.
Qiao Weiyi couldn't help but internally face-palm at her daughter's behavior.
Qiao Weiyi felt her heart finally let out a sigh of relief as soon as Zhung Shiyan had left.
She furrowed her brows slightly as she waved her hand in front of Qiao Nuo, who had a dumb grin on her face and looked like she'd been charmed and mesmerized by Zhung Shiyan.
She lightly tapped her daughter on the forehead and didn't know whether to laugh or cry, "Qiao Nuo, you're only five years old, for God's sake," she chided, "How could you be so shameless at such a young age?"
Qiao Nuo fluttered her long eyelashes as she blinked innocently, "I just like good-looking people," she shrugged, "Especially you, my beautiful mother - I love you the most!"
On their way home, Qiao Weiyi couldn't help but ask her daughter, "So, Qiao, are you good friends with Zhung Niansheng?"
Qiao Nuo's eyes instantly lit up as soon as she heard her mother mention Zhung Niansheng.
"Yes, he's my best friend!" she exclaimed excitedly, "All of the other children want to be friends with Shengsheng too, but he only wants to be friends with me - I suppose it's because they aren't as pretty as me!"
Qiao Weiyi was half-amused and half-embarrassed by daughter's blatant excitement and eagerness.
Qiao Weiyi looked at her narcissistic daughter helplessly as she murmured, "Are you saying that this whole thing happened because you were so attracted to Zhung Niansheng that you made sure to keep other children away just so that you would have him all to yourself?"
