C5 Chapter 5

JmPangilinan: You're beautiful.

LeahGurez: Tsk.

JmPangilinan: You don't believe me?

LeahGurez: Not really.

Hays. Men are really men. I lost my appetite to go online because of his flattery so I just logged out. And since I'm already lying in bed, I can just sleep.

I would have closed my eyes when my cellphone rang. I answered immediately without looking at the caller.

"Hello?" I answered but no one answered on the other line.

"Hello?" I repeated but this time my eyes were wide open.

No one answered yet so I looked at the caller.

"Sean? Why did you called?" I sat down and leaned on the head board of my bed.

I was bored waiting for someone to speak on the other side so I spoke again.

"You will speak ot I will end the call?" I asked annoyed. I heard the other line sigh before speaking.

"I'm sorry," he said softly.

I know why he’s sorry so I won’t ask any more questions. I just gasped.

" It's okay," I lied.

Of course that's not okay with me. It's my furst kiss we're talking about in here? Then he'll just take it because he doesn't want me to sleep in the cradle again?

What is that game? Yes, we are best friends and yes, he is handsome but he still doesn't have the right to kiss me. Duh!

That should be special. I should give that to the person I love. Sean, what did you do? But it was way too late, he got it.

"I know that's not okay, that's your first kiss, isn't it?"

"There's nothing I can do, Sean. It's over," I said with a matching sigh.

"I know but I want to make sure you're not really mad at me. I can't handle that Leah." His voice was breaking.

"I'm not that angry." I can't do anything even if I'm still angry "Wait, are you crying?"

"H-Huh? OO-f course not."

"Then why are you stuttering?" He was really crying because I could hear the sniffing on the other line.

"Yes. I'm crying. You know you're my weakness," he admitted.

I suddenly laughed bitterly at what he said. "Tsk! There's no weakness in a Sean Chavez."

"There is so. You," he answered directly.

"Okay. I'm the weakness of a Sean Chavez." laughed followed by his laugh.

Hays! I want to be angry at what he did to me but I can't. I can't do anything anymore, it's over.

"Is that all you called because I want to sleep," I asked.

"What? Why are you going to sleep? Isn't Jully-ann's debut today? Come back here."

"It's still morning." I looked at my watch. " It's only 12 o'clock, hey."

"If you don't come here I'll go there," he threatened.

"Are you scaring me, Sean?" My voice is serious but I'm really just joking.

"U-Uhm." I can't help but laugh. He stuttered even though I was just joking.

"Are you laughing, Leah?" He asked annoyed but I just laughed at him too hard.

I only answered him with a laugh.

"I'll get mad if you continue laughing, Leah." He's really angry but I don't care.

"Leah!" He shouted so I moved the cellphone away from my ear and I stopped laughing.

"Why are you shouting?" I shouted at him, too.

"Because you're laughing." This time his voice was soft.

"So what now? I'm not shouting at you to make you shout, am I?" My tone of voice is still high.

"Uhm."

"Don't yell at me Sean. You might want me to get mad at you." My voice is calmer this time.

"Okay. Sorry," he gave up so I laughed again.

I am so close believing that I am really his weakness.

"You're laughing at me again." Even though I can't see him, I know this man is pissed now.

"Why is my laughter such a big deal to you. Don't you want me to be happy?" My voice is serious and I am no longer joking.

"Leah, I don't want you to laughed at me but I want you happy," he reasoned.

"I don't know about you, Sean."

"Don't be mad at me, Leah..I'm sorry. All right, laugh at me

I won't complain anymore."

"You're also UNDER construction, Sean?" I heard Earl shout in the back.

"Shut up. Or you'll be beaten there," Sean replied making me laugh out loud, again.

"You're laughing at me, again."

" Leah, Sean can't be in one place without you. He always want to be with you!" Earl shouted again.

" Really, Earl? Then it's better if you talk to Leah, alone? What do you think?"Sean shouted. Based on his tone he was angry.

"Is it true that you can't relax until you're with me?" I teased him.

"Tsk! You're both crazy, Earl." I stopped laughing because of what he said.

"Sean? Who's crazy?" I asked serioulsy.

He seemed to get the tone of my voice because he took it back immediately.

"Earl is the only crazy Leah. You're not included," he said that and I could hear my friends laughing behind him.

"UNDER construction, really!" Daniel shouted.

" Says the one who's not under, hm?" Sean teased.

"Hey, if I'm Under, it's okay because you all know that I love Mia. 'bout you? You're not even flirting, but you're already under," Daniel fought back.

"Just tell them Sean to shut up. So noisy," I commanded Sean with laughter.

"Hey, don't be so loud," Sean scolded.

"All right, Sean, go now so you can see the one you love." Mia groaned so I laughed.

You love, huh? I just turned off the call without letting Sean know. Tsk! So noisy then they are just teasing each other.

Sometimes they are really crazy, even though I don't feel like I belong to them. I just lay down again on my hand and slept.

I'll go there later, they're just teasing each other in there. It's better to be quiet here and I sleep.

I don't know how long I slept but I woke up when I felt someone caressing my hair. I slowly opened my eyes.

"Hey?" I smiled at him and he smiled at me too.

"What? That's mine!"

" This is mine!"

"I am Leah's bestfriend so that's supposed to me mine!"

"I'm also her best friend so that's mine!"

"Shut up you two there, Leah might wake up!"

What I heard made me wake up, really. I looked at Sean who was laughing at my reaction so I glared at him before running downstairs. Sean followed me.

"Hey!" I screamed. It turns out that squad is in my house and they're complete and I don't know anything.

"Hi, Leah?" They all greeted mewith a smile.

Jully-ann and Mia were standing near the refrigerator looking like they were scrambling for my chocolate. Winlab and Bryce sat on the couch. While Earl and Daniel sat at my dining table.

"What's going on here? Hey Earl, Daniel get down there!" I'm worried.

They came down quickly.

"You two there?" I looked at Mia and Jully-ann. "Why are you making noise? You can just share in that?"

"I don't share!" Jully-ann snorted.

"You share!" I shouted.

" Yes," They both grumbled.

"Now, you all sit on the sofa," I ordered them and they obeyed except for Sean so I turned to him and looked at him.

" Sit down," I ordered him.

When he gave up, our friends laughed at him, so I just laughed too.

"Now? Who's going to explain?" I asked with a raised eyebrow.

" All of us!" They all shouted at once. I sat down on a staircase.

"Fix it when you sit down, dude," Sean scolded me so I sat down properly. I saw him smile because I obeyed his command.

" You may now start," I ordered. Sean stood up first.

"I was the only one supposed to come here to pick you up but they came along," he said and sat down. Winlab stood next.

"I should be the one to come here, right? I told you that earlier but it took a while but at least I'm here now." Sh smiled and sat down. Earl stood up next.

"I just came because Jully-ann' here." He even looked at Jully-ann who was obviously shaken by what he said before sitting down. Mia stood up next.

"Im here because I want to. You're my best friend after all." She sat down. Daniel stood up next.

"I want to see you so I'm here." He even winked at me. Sean immediately pulled him to sit down.

I laughed at his cuteness. And finally Jully-ann stood up.

"Your reasons are useless. What you said is that you are here because you are guilty!"

" Your reasons are useless. You should've told her the real reason. That you are guilty!"
