C396 Category of Labor

The day before he went to Mo'an Temple.

Mu Ruqing took out everything to tidy up and wrote a few thick stacks of paper. No one knew what she wrote and even Lingyue was not allowed to read it.

When Yu Longchen came back, Mu Ruqing arranged for Lingyue to take those things and place them properly.

Mu Ruqing smiled at Yu Longchen the whole day and Yu Longchen asked, "Why are you so happy today?"

Mu Ruqing only had one sentence, "I want you to remember how I smile."

"Why don't you smile every day for me to see?" Yu Longchen asked back.

Mu Ruqing narrowed her eyes and nodded.

A day of sweet time passed in the blink of an eye.

When she slept at night, Mu Ruqing did not sleep. She laid sideways and looked at Yu Longchen's face. When she woke up in the morning, the pillow was damp.

When Yu Longchen opened his eyes, Mu Ruqing closed them.

Yu Longchen thought that she had not woken up and his movements were gentle. He got up from the bed and packed up to go to the court.

Mu Ruqing watched his back as he walked out. Her palm was placed on the spot where he was lying and it was still warm.

She waited until the blanket was cold before getting up but could not laugh no matter what.

"Lingyue." He placed his hand on the bed and called out softly.

"Your Ladyship." Before Lingyue could enter, she heard Mu Ruqing's order, "Bring me a few pieces of ice."

Lingyue withdrew again.

Mu Ruqing used ice to cover her eyes.

"What happened to Your Ladyship? Do you want to call the Imperial Physician to take a look?" Lingyue looked at her red and swollen eyes and only thought of being bitten by some bug.

Mu Ruqing shook her head, "Get ready. We will go to Mo'an Temple later."

"Yes."

Yu Longchen sent half of the people from Praetorian Guard. On the official road of the Imperial Capital, the massive and orderly Praetorian Guard protected the horse carriage of the Imperial Palace and headed towards Mo'an Temple.

Changxu rode his horse and walked in front.

Mu Ruqing allowed Lingyue to travel with her and ride in the phoenix sedan.

Lingyue looked at Mu Ruqing's silent face and her eyes turned. No matter how she thought about it, she did not know what Mu Ruqing was thinking.

"Remember those things that I told you to put away?" Mu Ruqing suddenly looked up and Lingyue had a feeling that she was telling her funeral arrangements, "When the child is born, take those out."

"Why don't Your Ladyship take it out herself?" Lingyue frowned and was very suspicious, "What does Your Ladyship want to do?"

"En?" Mu Ruqing lifted her eyes but did not have the energy, "I have a child and want to be a child. How can I take such a heavy thing?"

"Oh." Lingyue seemed to have realized something.

"Yingyu and Yuan Zhen might come." Mu Ruqing rubbed her stomach and said again.

"The two of you come to see Your Ladyship is also very good. It is quite troublesome for them to enter the Palace. Maybe they miss Your Ladyship." Lingyue's eyebrows curved up. She wanted to tease Mu Ruqing to make her happy but found that her expression did not change.

"Is that so?" Mu Ruqing asked back and lifted the curtain to look out the window.

Perhaps it was only on this day that she knew that she was reluctant but helpless.

When they arrived at Mo'an Temple, they first paid their respects to Buddha and then went straight to the room.

Mo'an Temple did not accept guests these few days and was fully focused on Mu Ruqing. Now that she was the Empress, her status was naturally different.

"Lingyue, you go and tidy up your things. I also want to say a few words to aunt." Mu Ruqing instructed. The steward nun in the temple had treated Mu Ruqing very well and was trustworthy.

Lingyue went down and aunt took a few steps forward. There was a Buddhist smile on her face, "Your Ladyship has the blessing of Buddha and also the favour of the Emperor. Her complexion is getting better and better."

"Aunt, nine months of child birth, it is very healthy, right? Is this considered premature birth?" Mu Ruqing raised her eyes and asked other questions. She seemed to not understand what her aunt said.

Her aunt was also old and had seen many things. After hesitating for a while, she smiled and replied, "Your Ladyship, it is not premature labor. The child will be very healthy."

"If the mother has no signs of life, will it affect the child?" Mu Ruqing's hands were under the table as she tightened her skirt.

"Of course it will. It may cause the child to die in the womb." Every time her aunt answered Mu Ruqing, the smile on her face lessened.

"Thank you, aunt." Mu Ruqing first politely expressed her gratitude, then it became a warning, "What I said to aunt today, please do not say it out loud. After all, people's words are scary."

"I will obey Your Ladyship's orders." Aunt put her hands together and lowered her head in front of her chest. Before she could raise her head, she heard Mu Ruqing give another order, "Aunt find a reliable person and go and buy some medicine to hasten the delivery!"

Aunt suddenly looked up and looked at Mu Ruqing with uncertainty. She slowly put her palms together and said, "Your Ladyship, this..."

"You just need to do it!" Mu Ruqing's tone was unquestionable and her gaze was rarely fierce.

"Yes." Aunt could only obediently lower her head, but this time she did not put her hands together again.

"I'll have to trouble Aunt. Let Aunt prepare the medicine tomorrow and come over. Aunt will find another midwife. Of course, everything. Aunt, do you know that we can't extract the medicine? " Mu Ruqing stood up and placed one of her hands on the table.

"Old Ni knows." Aunt replied and left.

Lingyue was in a good mood. She didn't think too much about it when she saw her aunt leaving in a hurry.

She turned around and went back to the room to bring Mu Ruqing a box of pastries, "Your Ladyship, are you going back to the Palace tonight?"

Mu Ruqing shook her head and picked up the pastries on the plate, "Coming is already tiring enough. I will return tomorrow to save the trouble of going back and forth."

"Yes." Lingyue was actually worried that Mu Ruqing would get up. She was clearly still fine.

"Your Ladyship." Changxu stood at the door, "Miss Miao and Yuan... Zhen have arrived." He was used to calling her Elder Daoist, but he could not change it.

"Let them in." Mu Ruqing replied and her mood was somewhat complicated. She adjusted her mood and smiled, "Lingyue, do I look energetic like this?"

" Yes, yes. Your Ladyship's face was red and healthy. " Lingyue quickly nodded her head and took a closer look before asking again, "Could it be that Your Ladyship is not feeling well anywhere?"

Mu Ruqing shook her head. Her face was red because of the rouge powder.

"Please."

Changxu's voice came in and he heard footsteps.

Miao Yingyu and Yuan Zhen entered and looked at Mu Ruqing. The first thing they saw was to confirm her complexion.

"Why are you guys here?" Mu Ruqing asked even though she knew the answer.

"I know you came to Mo'an Temple after leaving the Palace. Of course we came to take a look." Miao Yingyu walked over. She also had a matter in her heart and could only force a smile out.

Mu Ruqing wanted to pull her hand but Miao Yingyu pulled back and finally placed it on the table with an unnatural smile on her face.

Mu Ruqing did not feel embarrassed and glanced at Yuan Zhen. Seeing the sadness in his eyes, she seemed to be more certain of one thing.

Miao Yingyu did not dare to interact with her because she made that decision and felt guilty towards Mu Ruqing.

Everyone in the room hid something in their hearts.

"In the future, if you want to visit me in the Palace, just go." As she spoke, Mu Ruqing took out a token, "Then let Praetorian Guard see this. That will do."

"Alright." Miao Yingyu and Yuan Zhen replied together.

"Are you going to stay here tonight? I will ask Aunt to tidy up your room." Mu Ruqing asked again.

Miao Yingyu turned her head and looked at Yuan Zhen. Yuan Zhen's eyes moved and he put his hands on his knees unnaturally. "Okay."

"Lingyue..."

Before Mu Ruqing could say anything, Lingyue nodded and said, "Your Ladyship, I understand."
