C8 Daddy Is Mine!

Ye Junhao was on edge, yet he allowed Mu Chuchen to wipe away the oil stains at the corner of his mouth. As she cleaned, her slender fingers unintentionally—or perhaps intentionally—grazed his lips, causing a soft, ticklish sensation.

As she leaned in close, Ye Junhao's heartbeat quickened, and he could almost hear the thudding in his chest, as if his heart might leap right out of his mouth.

Mu Chuchen was well aware of Ye Junhao's good looks, but she was pleasantly surprised to find that his facial skin was unexpectedly smooth to the touch, so much so that she couldn't stop caressing it.

With a deep and intense expression, Ye Junhao's dark eyes remained fixed on Mu Chuchen, even as his face began to flush with color under her touch.

Ye Mu cocked his head, observing his parents with curiosity. They were acting so oddly.

Ye Junhao's chauffeur, meanwhile, dared not even glance back, fearful of interrupting the intimate moment between husband and wife.

Just as Mu Chuchen was about to plant a kiss on Ye Junhao's chin, he snapped back to reality and pushed her away with such force that she collided with the car door, eliciting a pained gasp.

"Chuchen," Ye Junhao said, leaning forward to quickly pull her into his arms, his voice laced with concern. "Are you alright?"

Rubbing her bruised shoulder, Mu Chuchen reassured him, "I'm fine."

Once she confirmed she was unharmed, Ye Junhao released her and shifted to sit next to his son, maintaining a distance from Mu Chuchen. Yet, in the confined space of the car, if Mu Chuchen reached out again, he would have nowhere to escape.

"Daddy," little Ye Mu said, swiftly climbing onto his father's lap and settling down. He then cast a wary glance at Mu Chuchen, as if to stake his claim: Daddy is mine!

Mu Chuchen wasn't bothered by her son's protective gesture. After all, since her rebirth, her greatest desire was to transform her relationships with her husband and son.

The moment she had touched Ye Junhao's face, both of their cheeks had flushed with redness. Despite having a son together, Mu Chuchen realized that, in both her past and present lives, her only true marital experience with Ye Junhao had been on their wedding night, a result of her drunkenness.

After that incident, she began to resist Ye Junhao's touch. For years, they both lived like they were widowed.

Yet, Mu Chuchen believed she understood romance better than Ye Junhao.

She had read countless romance novels, while Ye Junhao, with his composed and aloof demeanor, likely never touched one. Compared to him, Chuchen felt she had learned plenty about the art of seduction, even though she hadn't yet put it into practice.

Ye Junhao, momentarily charmed by Mu Chuchen, soon regained his composure. Gazing down at his son nestled in his lap, he commented with his usual poise, "Chuchen, the soup you made is delicious."

He wondered when she had learned to cook soup.

"Really? Then I'll prepare it for you every day."

Mu Chuchen recalled hearing that to win over one's partner, one should start by capturing their appetite. She planned to use her culinary talents to win over Ye Junhao's heart.

Of course, her strategy to quickly win Ye Junhao over involved more than just her cooking skills; she also knew she needed to be proactive.

He might be reserved and stoic, but he wasn't heartless. If she gave her all and showed genuine care, he would surely abandon any thoughts of divorce, and they could live a stable, blissful life together.

Would he become infatuated with her if she showed him affection?

Mu Chuchen eagerly anticipated the outcome.

After a brief silence, Ye Junhao inquired, "Chuchen, when did you learn to make soup?"

Their marriage was one of business convenience, and since Ye Junhao and Mu Zhiyuan were classmates, he had known Mu Chuchen for many years before they wed. Now, after eleven years of acquaintance, he felt he understood her well—she wasn't known for her culinary skills.

Yet, after a single plunge into the river, she had emerged with the ability to make soup!
