C9 Aiya I Have a Love Rival!

"For Chung Sen..." Mu Chuchen abruptly halted, leaving her sentence unfinished.

Ye Junhao's once slightly softened features quickly grew cold, his expression tensing once again. He ceased his conversation with Mu Chuchen, instead holding his son and turning to gaze out at the street scene through the car window. He had thought she had truly changed, but it turned out she was still doing everything for Chung Sen.

She had gone to such lengths just to be with Chung Sen, yet when he suggested divorce, why was she so reluctant? Was she seeking revenge? Without a divorce, he wouldn't be able to remarry. Did she intend to keep him bound, forcing him to live like a widower for the rest of his life? Ye Junhao grimly contemplated: If they divorced, he would never marry again. In this life, she would remain his only woman.

In the living room of the presidential suite atop Jun's Hotel, CEO Shang and his daughter were already seated, awaiting Ye Junhao's arrival. Two impeccably trained waiters stood ready behind them, prepared to attend to their needs at a moment's notice.

Miss Shang appeared restless, her eyes frequently darting to the door, her anxious demeanor betraying her eagerness to see someone. This prompted CEO Shang to sigh. He gently tapped his daughter's hand, advising, "Dongyan, mind your demeanor. Director Ye won't be late. Just a little longer, and you'll see him." He sighed once more, unable to help himself.

Shaang Dongyan had fallen for Ye Junhao at first sight, despite him being married. Nonetheless, she hadn't lost hope and convinced her father to enter into a partnership with Jun's Group. As her father's secretary, she could then meet Ye Junhao during business discussions.

If Ye Junhao and Mu Chuchen shared a profound bond, Shaang Dongyan would have resigned herself to her fate, her hopes extinguished. But Mu Chuchen seemed to thrive on conflict and didn't love Ye Junhao. To Shaang Dongyan, their marriage was nothing more than a business alliance, devoid of any real affection.

If they were to divorce, Shaang Dongyan was certain she would have a chance with Ye Junhao.

"Dad, I'll just pop to the restroom."

Feeling slightly awkward after her father's comment, Shaang Dongyan excused herself to the restroom, ostensibly to freshen up. In reality, she wanted to reapply her makeup to look her best for Ye Junhao.

In terms of background, looks, or talent, she was confident she was no less than Mu Chuchen.

Mu Chuchen, having never worked, lacked any professional experience and couldn't contribute to Ye Junhao's career, nor was she adept at taking care of him in his personal life.

Shaang Dongyan believed she was a better match for Ye Junhao, being as comfortable in the boardroom as she was in the kitchen.

By the time Shaang Dongyan emerged from the restroom with her makeup perfected, the living room had filled with a few more people, including Ye Junhao's family of three and his secretary, Ming Yu.

Shaang Dongyan recognized Mu Chuchen, but Mu Chuchen did not recognize her.

Their encounter left Shaang Dongyan with a forced smile; she hadn't anticipated Mu Chuchen accompanying Ye Junhao.

Women are often keen observers, and Mu Chuchen could sense the tension in Shaang Dongyan's rigid demeanor. She was on guard.

This woman had her sights set on her Jun Hao!

Chief Shang hadn't expected Ye Junhao to bring his wife along. Once his daughter returned, he quickly introduced Mu Chuchen, "Dongyan, this is Director Ye's wife, Mu Chuchen," and then introduced Shaang Dongyan to Mu Chuchen.

"Miss Mu, hello."

Shaang Dongyan stood and extended her right hand to Mu Chuchen with poised grace.

Mu Chuchen rose to her feet and reached out to shake hands with Shaang Dongyan, gently correcting her, "Miss Shang, I'm married. You can call me Mrs. Ye."

Shaang Dongyan replied with a smile, "Miss Mu is so young; calling you 'Mrs.' might make you sound older."

Mu Chuchen returned the smile, "I don't mind if you call me old, Miss Shang."

The two women locked eyes, silently clashing in a battle of wits that lasted several intense moments, with neither willing to concede defeat.
