C15 Rainbow!

Elsewhere, Qin Feng arrived at the base of Vast Company's towering building with an air of ease, riding his electric scooter. As he stepped into the lobby, a security guard blocked his path. "Hey, who let you in? Do you even know where you are?"

"Oh, I'm here to see Old Fu," Qin Feng replied.

"Old Fu?" The guard seemed confused for a moment, then said, "You mean the Old Fu who cleans the toilets? He's supposed to wait outside. This isn't a place for just anyone. Out you go!"

Toilets? Qin Feng was momentarily baffled before he clarified, "I'm looking for Fu Jiangxing."

Fu Jiangxing? The boss's name?

"You're here to see CEO Fu? Don't make me laugh. Who do you think you are?" The guard chuckled. "Even Lake City's richest man can't just waltz in to see CEO Fu. And you are... what exactly? Get lost!"

Qin Feng felt a sense of resignation. He was about to call Old Fu when Shen Lu entered the lobby and immediately recognized him. "You?!"

She was still seething from the humiliation she suffered at the bank the previous day, where she was slapped, forced to call him 'Daddy Qi', and made to kneel and sing 'Conquer' in front of a crowd. She had vowed to get even.

And now, fate had brought them together again.

Her boyfriend, Du Bin, claimed to possess a rare Black Dragon Card and boasted of his influence, but Shen Lu didn't buy it. If he were truly influential, would he allow himself to be pushed around without a fight?

The eight million must have been a favor for Hsu Yunxiao. That's why he had played into her hands.

"Enemies on a narrow road," Shen Lu sneered as she approached.

Qin Feng, seeing her, gave her a once-over and quipped, "Well, if it isn't my goddaughter. What brings you to your godfather?"

"You..." Shen Lu's face turned beet red with rage. "Qin Feng, do you have any idea where you are? How dare you strut around here!"

"Of course, I know! This is Vast Entertainment," Qin Feng said with a shrug.

"Hmph, if you know you're at Vast, you should be prepared for the consequences," Shen Lu retorted with a sneer.

"Throw him out!" she ordered the guard, then added in a low voice, "Take him somewhere secluded and beat him until he's half-dead. A broken arm or leg would be ideal."

"Yes, Manager Shen!" the guard responded.

Qin Feng, taken aback, blinked and asked, "You're a manager here?"

"Me?" Shen Lu puffed up with pride, arms crossed. "I'm the Vice Manager of the Public Relations Department at Vast Entertainment."

"...Not exactly a lofty position," Qin Feng remarked.

Infuriated, Shen Lu nearly choked with anger. "You have no idea! I may be a Vice Manager, but this is Vast Entertainment. General Managers of other companies bow down to me!"

"Why?" Qin Feng was genuinely puzzled.

"You fool! Vast Entertainment is a national powerhouse with a mysterious backing. And today, we're getting a new boss—a real heavyweight. Next to him, the Hsu family you're clinging to is less than nothing. Squashing you would be as easy as crushing an ant," Shen Lu declared.

"Vast is that formidable?" Qin Feng asked, surprised.

He had only known that Old Fu was entrusting him with an entertainment company. He assumed it was a startup for him to grow, not realizing its clout.

"You're utterly clueless," Shen Lu berated. "The stars we've cultivated at Vast Entertainment are national treasures. Ever heard of the Songstress Lo Hongyan, or the King of Pop Liu Yaozhong, or Liang Wei, the three-time Golden River Film Festival's Best Actor? They're all Vast's prodigies!"

"I see," Qin Feng said, his spirits lifting. The company sounded promising.

"If you're scared now, good. If you don't want to meet your maker, call me 'Godmother' in front of everyone here, and I might let you off the hook," Shen Lu said haughtily, arms still crossed.

"And just so you know, we're about to welcome a new boss, and I'm up for a promotion. Soon, even the Hsu matriarch will have to play nice with me."

"Promotion? With your attitude, getting fired seems more likely," Qin Feng chuckled. "But if you still acknowledge me as your godfather, I..."

"You're hopeless!" Shen Lu snapped. "Security, do as I instructed!"

"Yes!" the guard affirmed, moving toward Qin Feng.

Just then, the elevator at the side of the hall dinged. Old Mr. Fu stepped out and briskly walked their way, causing a stir among those present.

Even Shen Lu adjusted her demeanor, stepping aside and bowing slightly to show her respect.

Mr. Fu was an elusive figure, rarely seen around Vast Company. Even employees seldom caught a glimpse of him.

Despite the distance, his presence exuded the commanding aura of someone long accustomed to power.

"Mr. Fu, good to see you..."

Shen Lu and her colleagues couldn't bring themselves to meet his gaze, bowing deeply in deference.

Mr. Fu paid them no mind, striding directly to Qin Feng with a sudden eagerness to please, chuckling apologetically, "Oh dear, Young... Mr. Qin, my apologies for the delay! Please forgive me, let's continue our discussion inside..."

With that,

The two ascended in Mr. Fu's private elevator, leaving onlookers astonished and bewildered.

"What's happening here?"

The security guard's knees buckled with fear.

He realized he'd been seeking his boss, not the janitor he'd mistaken him for.

Shen Lu felt a chill.

Why was Mr. Fu so reverent, even coming down to greet him personally?

Could it be...

Qin Feng was as significant as her boyfriend claimed?

The thought made her knees weak, and she collapsed, a cold sweat breaking out over her...

In the penthouse office,

Mr. Fu offered Qin Feng a cigar, lighting it for him, "Young Lord, you should've let me know you were coming; I would've arranged your transport."

"Let's focus on the matter at hand," Qin Feng said, brushing off the incident.

He wasn't concerned with the earlier misunderstanding; no need to stoop to the level of petty squabbles.

"Of course! Your magnanimity is truly admirable, Young Lord. Your presence is a blessing for Heavenly King Mountain..." Mr. Fu beamed, presenting Qin Feng with the prepared agreement.

Qin Feng, uninterested in flattery, gave it a cursory glance and signed.

His mind was already on buying a new car for his wife.

Once the document was signed,

Mr. Fu's satisfied smile broadened, and he clapped his hands.

A man and a woman entered.

The man, striking and dignified, greeted Qin Feng with respect, "Boss!"

"This is Jiaang Zhongtian," Mr. Fu introduced. "He's been my right hand for years and will now be assisting you. He'll handle whatever you need."

"Understood," Qin Feng acknowledged.

He was still getting to grips with the business and preferred to keep his identity under wraps for now. Zhongtian was exactly the kind of help he needed.

"You may leave us," Mr. Fu dismissed Zhongtian.

Turning to the woman, he said, "This is Hong, your specially assigned bodyguard and coach."

"Bodyguard... and coach?" Qin Feng raised an eyebrow.

She was striking, with a ponytail and a leather jacket that accentuated her form. The glimpse of her toned abdomen and long legs was captivating.

Yet her eyes were fierce, almost daring someone to stare too long.

"What do I need her for?" Qin Feng questioned.

Hong's eyes flashed with a touch of ice and displeasure.

"Listen, Young Lord, you're the future of Heavenly King Mountain. Your safety is paramount, and she'll make you stronger. Don't underestimate her; she's among the top ten in this year's Heavenly Dragon Ranking!"

"The Heavenly Dragon Ranking?" Qin Feng's interest piqued.

He was well aware of the ranking. Even the thousandth place was beyond Faang Wudi's league.

But did he really need a bodyguard?

Three years ago, the top-ranked expert on the Heavenly Dragon Ranking, a once-in-a-century prodigy, had sought to serve him, and Qin Feng had barely paid him any mind.

What use would he have for her?

"And..." Mr. Fu added slyly, winking, "She's yours now. Whatever you ask, she'll do. You get my drift, heh..."

Qin Feng was momentarily taken aback, then blood trickled from his nose.

Damn!

Why all the preamble? The last point said it all!

"Agreed!" Qin Feng consented without hesitation.
