C4 New Journey

Anna came back home and opened the door of her room. She plopped on the bed and closed her eyes. She opened her eyes slowly and just stared at the ceiling, still thinking about what Mrs. Alves said to her. "That innocent child, he has seen nothing in his life yet, still he is so lonely. He just needs love."

She said and let out a breath. She couldn't sleep the whole night thinking about her decision. Suddenly the sun rays hit her face. She looked at the clock to check time. She didn't even realize when it was 7 am in the morning. She sighed and got up to get ready. She entered her bathroom and turned on the shower.

The cold water was hitting her face, calming her mind. Somewhere she have now made up her mind. She got out of the shower and wrapped her body with a towel. She got ready and checked out herself in the mirror one last time. She picked up her phone and called someone. "Hello Mrs. Alves, can we meet?"

Anna think for a while then decided to share this first with her mother. “Mom I want to talk about something” she said to her mother as she nodded. “Tell me Anna what is it? You know that you don’t need to get hesitant about anything with me” she looked at her that she was a bit hesitant. “Mom I-I decided that I will marry Daniel and I am not taking this decision under any pressure” she finally said making her mother smile. “Anna you are mature enough to take decision about your marriage and I have full trust on you” she said and patted Anna’s head. Anna hugged her mom and bid her bye before going out.

She was waiting at the cafe for Mrs. Alves. She raised her head and saw Mrs. Alves waving at her with a smile. She waved back. Mrs. Alves came towards her. She got up and greeted to her. "Hi Anaya", "Hi Mrs. Alves, please sit. " they both took a seat. "So what do you want to talk about Anaya?" "I have made my decision, I wanted to give you my answer" "Oh, what is it?" Mrs. Alves asked her nervously. She sighed and looked at her. "I am ready to marry Daniel.” Mrs. Alves widened her eyes. "What? Really? oh my god Anna I am so happy", Mrs. Alves said, smiling ear to ear. "But wait! Are you doing it under any pressure? If this is the case then you can say, I don't want you to feel pressured in any way." "No Mrs. Alves, I agreed because I want to do it, trust me" Anna said assuring her. Mrs. Alves smiled. "Thank you so much Anaya", Mrs. Alves hugged you tightly. "Umm but, did you ask Daniel about it? Does he want to marry me?" Mrs. Alves thought for a moment.

Mrs. Alves's POV (flashback)

I was sitting on the couch with Daniel. "Daniel, what if Anna agrees to marry you, do you want to marry her?" I asked him. "She already said no, why would she agree now?" Daniel said as his eyes were on the laptop screen. "Maybe she will change her mind, would you agree to marry her?"

Daniel let out a breath and said, "It's your choice Mom, you must have seen something in her that is why you offered her to be mother of Abram. I have already made a decision against your will in the past and I regret it, I don't want to make the same mistake again. As long as Abram and you are happy, I am okay with everything"

End of flashback

"Umm but, did you ask Daniel about it? Does he want to marry me?" Anna asked. Mrs. Alves thought about it for a moment and said, "Yes Anna, I have talked to him and he is okay with this marriage" she nodded. "So…. you have already met Daniel, I think it would be great if you could meet Abram once before marriage", Mrs. Alves suggested. "Yeah sure Mrs. Alves, I would love to meet him." she said smiling.

Mrs. Alves has already invited her to Daniel’s house in the evening.

Mrs. Alves invited Anna to Daniel's house. She already informed Daniel so he was aware of it. She reached the location and were standing outside. She rang the bell. The door opened slowly, revealing Daniel. You stopped smiling and looked at him head to toe. He was wearing casual clothes, different from his usual attire where he only wears suits. He was wearing loose pants and a hoodie. His hair was covering his forehead making him look extra cute for a change unlike his in formal attire. She didn't realize you were staring at him for too long. "Come in", Daniel said. She came to her senses and cleared her throat. She nodded and entered the house. It was a big lavish house with a great interior. She were amazed at how beautiful and classy the house looked.

"Oh Anna, you are here!” she turned and met Mrs. Alves. She hugged her. "Please sit Anna". She nodded and sat on the couch. "Daddaa", suddenly a voice echoed in the atmosphere. She turned around and saw Abram running towards Daniel. She got up and walked towards him. "Hi Abram", She said, showing her sweetest smile. He was indeed an exact replica of his father. Big doe eyes, cute button nose she was unknowingly admiring him. "Hello", Abram said and greeted to you. "Dad, who is she?" Abram whispered to Daniel. "She is Anna. She is going to be your mother" Daniel said. Abram widened his eyes and looked at her surprised.

"What? My mother? NO! She is not my mother. I have seen my mother's picture, that's not her" Abram said and hid behind Daniel and gripped his pants into a clenched fist. Her smile faded at his response. "Don't worry Abby, talk to her, she'll be a good mother for you", Mrs. Alves said, trying to assure Abram. "But she is not my real mother, she can't be my mother", Abram said and ran towards his room.

Mrs. Alves sighed. "Give him some time Anna, he is just a small kid. He will understand one day." she smiled weakly and nodded. "l’ll get going now, bye", she said to Mrs. Alves and gave a quick look to Daniel before walking out.

Daniel went to his room and sat on his bed. He let out a sigh and rested his head on the headboard. He then extended his hand on the side table and opened the drawer. He then took out a photo frame and looked at it. There was a picture of a girl with him. Tears were rolling down his cheeks as his hands ran on the picture. His expressions then changed from sadness into anger. He wiped his tears and threw the frame back on the drawer. He harshly closed the drawer in anger. "I'll never forgive you", he wiped his tears one last time and then went to sleep.

Anna and Daniel’s marriage got fixed after two weeks. After that day when she went to Daniel’s house she was quite upset about the thing which Abram told her but she thought she will make everything good as she was confident this. Working in an NGO of children for long time she is able to understand child psychology. But also she understood that every child is different.

Days passed like this after that day she didn’t met with Daniel and Abram and got busy in her work.

She was walking down the aisle with her mom. She was wearing a white beautiful gown, making her look breathtakingly gorgeous. She raised her head and there she saw Daniel, looking dapper in a white suit. He looked at her and widened his eyes a little, surprised at how beautiful she were looking in that white gown. He shrugged his thoughts and kept a straight face. Anna’s mom gave her hand to Daniel. Daniel held her hand and now she was standing in front of him. They both took their vows and now it was time for the kiss. She got nervous by the thought of kissing him as She didn't want to kiss someone She don't love but he is now going to her husband. Daniel came closer and held her face between his hands.

She widened her eyes at his sudden action as she didn’t expected him to do this. "Don't you dare kiss me", she whispered. "We have to pretend", he leaned in slowly to kiss her but she was pushing her head backwards to avoid kissing him. She kept moving her head backwards and then suddenly Daniel loosened the grip of his hands. She lost her balance and was about to fall but he held her by her waist. She gasped and held his neck tightly for support. He leaned in a little sideways making it look like for others that they both kissed. They both were looking into each other's eyes.

"Don't think too much, I don't want to kiss you either", Daniel said and pulled her by her waist helping her to stand up. Everyone clapped and cheered for both of them. He intertwined his hand with hers.

"Wow, isn't it so romantic!" Mrs. Alves said, looking at both of them in awe. Anna smiled lightly and looked at Daniel who was already looking at her. Both of you them glaring at each other.

After the wedding, Daniel and Anna were on the way to his house. The whole ride was silent. Neither of them utter a word. They finally reached the house. Daniel got out of the car. She opened the car door. She were struggling with her dress, trying to get out of the car. Daniel stopped and saw her struggling.

She looked at him, expecting him to help her but he rolled his eyes and walked out. She gritted her teeth. "Mrs. Alves said that her son is a gentleman, bullshit" she chuckled dryly and rolled her eyes. She somehow managed to get out of the car. She entered the house where Daniel was already there.

"Where is our room?” She asked him. Daniel looked at her and sarcastically chuckled. "There is no "OUR" room here, your room is upstairs and right in front of it is my room. It would be better if we respect each other's privacy." Daniel said and turned to go to his room but stopped. "And yeah, If you want anything, don't call me", Daniel said and walked out towards his room. Anna’s jaw dropped seeing this behavior of his and frowned.

"As if I am dying to be with him, what a jerk!" she rolled her eyes and walked towards her room. "Wow Anna, what a great start of your married Life.”
