C5 Condition

She went to her room and opened the door she widened her eyes. It was a big ass room with a beautiful interior. "Despite being a total jerk, he has a good taste”, she said while chuckling. She opened her suitcase and picked her nightwear. She changed into pajamas but there was something was stuck in her mind that she didn’t see Abram in the wedding. Is he that much hate her that he didn’t even come to his father’s wedding? While over thinking she plopped herself in the bed and went to sleep.

Next Morning sunrays hit her face with the soft lightening causing her to open her eyes, she half opened her eyes and yawned. She as met by an unfamiliar atmosphere. Then she realized it was not her usual room, it was her new room where now you she have to live for the rest of her life. She got up and walked downstairs to drink water. She entered the kitchen and saw a cook and a maid.

They turned around and looked at her. “Oh good morning ma'am, congratulations on your wedding", the maid greeted you in very polite manner. “Oh, thank you so much", she said and gave her a warm smile. "May I know your name?" she asked her politely. “My name is Mary", the maid replied. “Umm do you want something ma'am?" "Ah yes, just a glass of water", she said and walked to get a glass of water. "Wait ma'am, I'll give that to you, Mr. Daniel will be mad at me if I don't serve you properly" "Don't worry Mary, he won't say anything, I'll take it myself", she said to her and filled a glass of water and drank it.

She turned around and saw Daniel walking towards her. A servant was following him carrying a trolley of clothes. She looked at him and then the trolley.

“The servants are here to serve, get used to it”, he said. “God has given me two hands for something, I can at least get a glass of water by myself," Anna back fired him with her answer, crossing her arms. Daniel rolled his eyes in annoyance.

“Anyways, I am not here to indulge in any argument with you. I am here for a reason, these are some clothes for you. They are all yours now." she furrowed her eyebrows.

"For what?” she asked him. "You are now a part of Alves family, my son's mother. So just adapt yourself to our standards." she looked at him in disbelief and scoffed. "Excuse me? just so you know, I am a financially capable woman who can afford her own clothes. I don't need your money and clothes to look good. Give these clothes to someone who actually needs It." she said to him and walked towards her room. Daniel let out a sigh and followed his gaze on her.

She entered her room. "What does he think of himself? He thinks that he is very rich, of course he is but what he think of me huh. He is again flaunting his money in front of me. Now I will show him that I don't need his money to match his standards”, she smirked and picked up an outfit from the wardrobe.

She took a bath and wore the dress. She wore a mint floral lace dress reaching below her knee. It was a simple yet elegant dress making her look even more beautiful. She did light makeup and kept her hair open. She looked at herself in the mirror one last time and felt proud of the result. She walked downstairs. Daniel was at the dining table eating his breakfast. He turned his head towards her. He stopped eating as his eyes followed her. She came in front of him. “So, does it meet your so-called standards?" she said to him while wiggling her eyebrows.

For a moment his eyes stuck on you but soon he rolled his eyes at her. Not gonna lie, she was indeed looking gorgeous and classy in that dress, just as wanted to be but he was too stubborn to accept it. "Whatever”, he said and continued eating breakfast. Daniel got up and washed his hands. “Rude ass” Anna mumbled.

She wanted to interact with Abram but she didn't even see him yet. He didn't even attend the wedding so it made her a little sad.

“I wanted to talk to you about Abram." "What is it?" she asked him. "You know it very well that we got married just for my son. I love my son more than anyone else and I just want him to be happy and feel the love of a mother which you can give him. You have 3 months to make him accept you as his mother. If you fail to do this, there will be no reason to keep this marriage. I would have no other option but to divorce you," He said to her. She looked at him surprised as she was not expecting this condition even the day after marriage.” I am going for work”, he took his bag and left for work. She was just standing there speechless and dumbfounded, unable to understand how she would make Abram believe her and accept her as a mother. She was scared, not because Daniel will divorce her, she were scared because after 3 months, if she fail to do that, Abram would again be left alone, and his whole childhood would become lifeless, again.

She was only thinking about Daniel's words when Abram came out of his room. He looked at her. "Good morning Abram", she said and gave him a warm smile. "Good morning”, he gave her a plain reply and sat on the dining chair for breakfast. She was expecting a cold behavior from him so she didn't even think much about it. She walked towards him and sat beside him.

“Abram, can we talk?” Abram looked at her for a moment and then nodded. She smiled. “Abram, I know that I came into your life when you were least expecting it. I know that it's hard to trust some stranger that easily. But I assure you, I won't do anything to you that will hurt you in the future. I will take care of you like your mother” she said to him.

"But you are not my real mother, no matter how much you try, you can never become my real mother." Abram's words hit like an arrow in her heart. She was speechless at his response. Suddenly, she heard a honking sound. “My school bus has arrived, I have to go", Abram said and got up. He picked his school bag and left for school.

She let out a sigh “You are as stubborn as your father. How would I win your heart in these 3 months Abram?" she said to herself and closed her eyes in disappointment. She was resting her head in the couch headboard when her phone rang.

Her lips curve into upside a little as she saw the caller Id. “Hello Lily how are you? It’s been a while” you excitedly said to your best friend. “Yeah right this is been that much while that you forget your one and only best friend to invite to your wedding” Lily sarcastically said when you understood that how much angry she is. “Lily it happened very fast that I couldn’t organize things properly I am sorry” she said cutely “Okay okay fine don’t need to act this cute I’ll forgive you only if you will meet with me I am back in the country” she said calmly on the other hand Anna got surprised and said “Whatttttttt!” and jumped on the couch like a kid making maids giggle on her behavior. “You are back?” Anna asked her again in excitement and Lily hummed in response. “Okay meet me today afternoon I’ll text you address of restaurant” Lily said “Okay I’ll be waiting” Anna said and cut the call.

Anna was very excited to meet her best friend after 3 years. They both studied in the same college but their field of studies were different and after completing studies Anna joined an NGO and Lily got a job in multinational company in USA.

Anna did her breakfast and went to her room for get ready for going to NGO as she didn’t went there for 4 days because of marriage. She took her purse and a scarf and made her way to downstairs. She told cook and maid that she will not be back in lunch time so they will not make her food.

Completing her work in NGO she went to the place where her bestie texted her. She came before her and was waiting. After 10 minutes someone back hugged her when she flinched in surprised but soon smiled knowing who that person can be.

“I am angry with you” Lily said taking seat in front of Anna. “But you said you will forgive me if I’ll meet you today” Anna said in a baby voice and make a sad pout at end. “Stop doing that you know I can’t resist this cuteness” she said making you giggle. “Okay I am very sorry that I didn’t tell you but things just happened like this way and even I was not very sure about the marriage from the start” Anna said and sighed. “What do you mean you were not sure?” Lily asked in confusion. Anna told her full story how she got married to Daniel. “I know that you are very kind Anna but this is very big responsibility. Are you sure about this marriage? Will you able to handle a 7 year old child? I know you very well that you will do your best but that child how will you make him to accept you. And you said his father is little rude and cold will you be able to handle both of them at the same time? I am worried about you how will you do all these” she said Anna can sensed worry in her tone. “I know you are worried about me but don’t worry I’ll take care of this” Anna said and Lily nodded. She said this to Lily even when she didn’t know that how will she do this.

She came back to house and laid down on her bed thinking about Lily’s words.

Few days passed like this Anna always try to initiate a talk with Abram but he always gives her short replies and sometimes her cold behavior and rude words pierce Anna’s heart like sharp knife but she just think that he has grown up without a mother that is why he is like that.
