C15 Acting!

The entire restaurant was reserved today. By the time they arrived, Daquan was already there, accompanied by a stunning assistant in her twenties. Her figure was striking, accentuated by a professional outfit that left little to the imagination, even in the dead of winter.

In contrast, Mo Ya appeared much more understated. She had dressed up to highlight her necklace, opting for a high-necked black velvet gown. The black fabric made the pink diamonds stand out, giving her an air of mystery and allure. Despite not showing any skin, she still managed to captivate attention. Even Daquan couldn't help but steal a few glances.

"Young folks have it good these days," Daquan joked as soon as he arrived, lightening the mood. However, the way he looked at Mo Ya made her feel uneasy. Despite this, when Daquan extended his hand for a handshake, Mo Ya knew she had to reciprocate out of politeness.

Just as Mo Ya reached out, Mohan intervened, stepping in front of her to shake Daquan's hand himself. With a playful grin, he remarked, "I can't let my woman have any unnecessary physical contact with other men."

Mo Ya was taken aback, her eyes widening at the assertive man beside her. Daquan's expression briefly flickered with irritation and embarrassment, though only Mohan seemed to notice, which only improved his mood.

"Mohan's getting quite the sense of humor. Liuli will be back in a couple of days, and then our families can have a proper get-together."

"We'll see about that."

Such obvious disdain and rejection made Daquan's expression darken even more. From the very start, their meeting had been tense, and now, the woman Daquan brought along finally had her moment to step in.

She quickly smiled and said to Mo Ya, trying to ease the tension, "I'm sure the two bosses have important matters to discuss. Miss, why don't we step aside?"

"Her name is Mo Ya. You can call her Miss Mo."

Lina felt a bit awkward. She knew exactly who that woman was—no need for reminders. Everyone in high society knew by now. Not just high society, probably the entire country had heard. Once a discarded socialite, now a mistress to the elite.

If the man she was with wasn't Yem Mohan, Lina wouldn't bother standing next to such a woman.

"It's just a casual meal today. No need to avoid anyone, let's all sit."

Yem Mohan's words made Daquan's face darken further. A casual meal? They were discussing the first major collaboration after the families' union, involving a billion-dollar redevelopment project in the south of the city.

The potential profits aside, the significance of this collaboration was immense. Yet, Yem Mohan's casual tone was infuriating to Daquan.

He glanced at Lina, who immediately understood and smiled, "My fault, my fault. Maybe I wasn't clear. I wanted to chat with Miss Mo about some girl talk. Her necklace is stunning. So many women are envious. Such a large pink diamond is rare in the world. I'm quite envious myself and would love a closer look."

Hearing this, Daquan nodded in satisfaction and turned to Mo Ya. At that moment, Yem Mohan was ready to speak, but Mo Ya suddenly laughed and said...
