C15 I Made a Deal with My Body
Using each other for what we need.
Mu Chengyang was on top of me, different from how Muh Linfeng would handle things. Mu Chengyang's fingers threaded through my hair, slowly exploring downward, his tongue tracing a line along my neck. I couldn't help but recoil as if shocked.
But then I remembered Muh Linfeng and Huang Ying, likely entwined and mocking my foolishness. Anger flared up again, and I leaned into Mu Chengyang's body...
"Let it be," I thought with a sense of revenge, convincing myself until I finally fell into a deep sleep, letting Mu Chengyang do as he pleased.
The next morning, I woke up groggy. Looking around, the bed was a mess, as if mocking me with a reminder of last night. I pulled back the covers and looked at myself, confirming the possessive marks Mu Chengyang had left—dark red reminders that last night was no dream.
I threw on a robe, my hair a tangled mess, and stepped barefoot onto the cold floor. I no longer cared about the night with Mu Chengyang, nor did I feel like showering; my body was just as it was.
Reflecting on it all, my life felt like a farce. No family, no children, and now no partner. My tragic fate—those I loved deeply had trampled on my dignity, pushing me to a place with no escape.
Instead of letting Muh Linfeng and that jerk Huang Ying mock me, I might as well just end it all myself. At least they'd have to deal with their own guilt, and I'd be free from it all.
With that thought, I wandered over to the balcony window. Slowly, I climbed onto the railing, swung my legs over, and closed my eyes...
But just as I was about to let go, a pair of strong hands pulled me back and threw me onto the bed. I opened my eyes in shock to see Chengyang's furious, contorted face.
Chengyang yelled at me, "Ximo, if you're going to die, don't do it here!" Then he got off me.
I regained my composure and simply said, "Oh," as I grabbed my clothes and started to head outside.
Chengyang blocked my way and asked, "What are you doing?"
I shrugged off his hand and said, "I'm going outside to die, so I won't be an eyesore to you."
Chengyang stood in my way and said, "Ximo, what are you thinking? You just wanted to get into my bed, and now you're so thrilled you're going to die?"
I didn't want to engage with him.
Seeing my indifferent expression, Chengyang seemed worried I might actually go through with it, so he said softly, "Don't be in such a rush to die. Your life still has some value. It'd be a shame to waste it. Why not stick around for a couple of days?"
I glanced sideways at Mu Chengyang and noticed the tag still hanging from his suit. Suddenly, it hit me—I might have a better way to get back at him. I couldn't help but raise an eyebrow.
Seeing my expression soften a bit, Mu Chengyang continued, "Don't worry, stick with me, and there'll be plenty of benefits."
I opened my mouth and asked, "What benefits?"
Mu Chengyang looked at me confidently and said, "Being my woman, you'll naturally find out how many benefits there are."
I thought about it. Indeed, three years ago, under Mu Chengyang's protection, no one in the entire city's nightlife scene dared to raise their voice at me. While others were easily bullied, no one dared to mess with me. Back then, all I cared about was having enough to eat and drink. But now, I want more than just that. I want the person who looked down on me and ruined my marriage and dignity to pay a heavy price.
