"Does everything have to be this way for us to truly understand what we want to do, say, or fight for?

Maybe life and death aren't what they desire. Perhaps they don't know why they're doing all this. If everything were wrong, would they still persist? If everything could be given away, would they still feel justified in doing it all for others?

They don't want to gain or give anything. So
