C11 A Cunning Villain!

Luo Youran's failed sneak attack sparked a new plan in her mind.

"Tonight, I'm staying here with you," she declared, her face blooming with a smile that could take anyone's breath away.

If it were any other man in front of her instead of Xi Muchen, they would have been utterly captivated by her charm. But Xi Muchen had been through countless trials to get where he was today, and he wouldn't be easily swayed by a woman.

"It's rare for a little wildcat to be so forward. I'm more than happy to oblige," Xi Muchen replied, a seductive curve playing on his lips, a quick flash of something dark passing through his deep eyes.

Luo Youran despised him to the core. If she could, she would have ended him without hesitation. Yet here she was, offering to stay the night, clearly up to something.

But since Luo Youran had made her move, Xi Muchen wouldn't be himself if he didn't accept the challenge.

Throughout the night, Xi Muchen remained on high alert. As a top-notch mercenary, Luo Youran sensed his vigilance. So, she didn't act rashly but waited patiently for the right moment.

As time ticked by, Luo Youran suddenly opened her eyes. Beside her, Xi Muchen's breathing was steady; he seemed to be in a deep sleep. She raised her hand, aiming for his neck, hoping for a swift, lethal strike.

"Trying to ambush me? You're still too green," Xi Muchen said, having been on guard since she suggested staying over.

"Devious scoundrel!" Luo Youran's breath quickened with anger, her face turning a shade of stormy gray.

"I let you stay just to see what new tricks you had up your sleeve. Turns out, this is all you've got?" Xi Muchen's words dripped with sarcasm and disdain.

Luo Youran's eyes turned icy, a murderous aura radiating from her. She felt Xi Muchen's contempt, and for the first time since she started taking on missions, she was mocked so openly.

With a few deep breaths, Luo Youran managed to suppress her urge to lash out. She bit her lower lip and quickly ran back to her room.

"Damn it, bastard..." A stream of curses spilled from Luo Youran's mouth. Ever since she became a mercenary, she often hung out with those types, and her language had become quite casual.

Xi Muchen's actions had completely infuriated her. After a long string of curses, she finally calmed down a bit. After several encounters, Luo Youran had a general understanding of Xi Muchen's skills. She knew that if it came to a head-on confrontation, she wasn't a match for him.

Escaping from Xi Muchen's grasp was becoming increasingly difficult. A direct fight was out of the question, and backing down didn't align with her usual style. Luo Youran's brows furrowed slightly, and a hint of frustration rose in her shimmering eyes.

"It seems like I'll have to take a long-term approach," she thought. Luo Youran was decisive and willing to risk everything to achieve her goals. Yet, this was the first time she'd encountered such a challenging opponent. In every way, Xi Muchen seemed to outmatch her...

Lying in bed, Luo Youran slowly recalled Xi Muchen's moves. His techniques were varied, clean, and efficient, with no apparent weaknesses. After tossing and turning for most of the night, Luo Youran was exhausted. She washed up and quickly fell into a deep sleep.

She had realized that Xi Muchen, by keeping her in the villa, was only restricting her freedom, not intending to harm her. There was no need to worry about a midnight attack.

The next morning, after freshening up, Luo Youran donned a white shirt she had taken from Xi Muchen's closet and walked into the dining room as if nothing had happened.

"Breakfast is quite the spread. Guess that's what money gets you," Luo Youran remarked nonchalantly, sitting across from him with a hint of sarcasm.

Xi Muchen continued eating without a care. After all, he was well aware of Luo Youran's rebellious nature. They finished breakfast in silence, but Luo Youran didn't leave. Instead, she remained seated on the living room sofa, her eyes subtly tracking Xi Muchen.

A few minutes later, Xi Muchen, phone in hand, left the living room, ready to head to work. Luo Youran discreetly observed his every move, particularly how he opened the front door and the placement of the nearby security guards. She had always thought the guards at the door were the biggest challenge, but the way the door was opened was unexpectedly intriguing.

Most people prefer using codes and fingerprints for entry, but Xi Muchen went against the grain. He used facial recognition technology, allowing only verified individuals to enter and exit the villa.

Once Luo Youran gathered the information she needed, a cold smile played on her lips as she turned back to her room. It wasn't the right time to escape; she had to wait. She spent her time in the villa secretly observing the distribution of personnel throughout the house. Knowing her enemy was key to her success. Only by fully understanding Xi Muchen's setup could she plan a successful escape.

The day flew by, and Luo Youran gained a rough understanding of the guard placements around the villa. After dinner, she returned to her room, waiting for nightfall. As darkness enveloped the land and many drifted into sleep, she began her move.
