C12 She Had to Find Someone!
Luo Youran skillfully slipped to the entrance. Seizing a moment when a guard was off guard, she knocked him out and dragged him into the shadows, changing into his uniform. As mercenaries, they always had to be adept at disguises to conceal their true identities. Now dressed as a guard, Luo Youran stood confidently at the main gate. However, she needed someone to open it.
"What are you doing?" Just as Luo Youran was scouting for a target, another guard approached.
"Nothing!" she replied in a gruff voice, lowering her tone.
"Your voice sounds off," the guard remarked. The guards rotated every four hours, so the personnel were quite familiar with each other.
"Just a cold today!" Luo Youran's hand tightened, ready to take him down before he could call for help.
"Don't move. Go open the gate, or I'll kill you right now!" Luo Youran quickly pulled out a wire she carried, using it as a weapon to subdue the guard.
"You might kill me, but you won't escape!" the guard, caught off guard by Luo Youran's cunning, felt a wave of regret.
"Even if I kill you, Xi Muchen won't do anything to me. Want to bet on that?" Luo Youran saw through the guard's fear of death.
"If I shout, you might not get away!" The guard had been with Xi Muchen for a while and knew the harsh consequences if Luo Youran escaped.
"Then try it. Let's see who's faster!" Luo Youran's wire was already looped around the guard's neck. A single pull, and it would be over for him.
"I'll open the gate for you!" Weighing his options, the guard used the system to unlock the villa's main gate. As gatekeepers, each guard had the authority to open it.
Luo Youran saw her plan succeed and swiftly knocked out the bodyguard with a precise chop. At this critical moment, she couldn't let anyone ruin her escape. She deftly slipped out the door, a hint of disdain curling her soft red lips. "Xi Muchen, we'll meet again!"
Luo Youran hadn't forgotten Xi Muchen's schemes against her and vowed to settle the score someday. But for now, the most important thing was to get away. Just as she was about to leave, she saw Xi Muchen's car returning.
"Not good!" The moment she saw the headlights, Luo Youran instinctively took off running. She had put in so much effort to escape from the villa and had no intention of being caught again.
In the race between two legs and four wheels, the latter naturally had the upper hand. With expert driving skills, Xi Muchen caught up to Luo Youran and stopped the car in front of her. Unfortunately for her, the area around Xi Muchen's villa was wide open, with nowhere to hide.
"Well, well, the little wildcat has some skills, managing to escape from the villa!" Xi Muchen had underestimated her abilities. "Too bad your timing was a bit off!" His handsome face wore a captivating smile, but his deep eyes were filled with a chilling light.
Luo Youran realized there was no way she could get away unscathed. She had worked so hard to escape, and being caught by Xi Muchen again was something she couldn't accept. She had to give it one last shot! The odds were against her, but Luo Youran refused to give up.
"Quite the stubborn streak!" Xi Muchen calmly countered her moves. After a few rounds, Luo Youran began to falter, but Xi Muchen wasn't in a hurry to defeat her. Instead, he toyed with her, like a cat playing with a mouse.
"Xi Muchen, if you're a real man, just give it to me straight!" Luo Youran gritted her teeth, glaring at him with a look that could kill.
"Don't you think this game is more fun?" Xi Muchen taunted, having drained every bit of her energy before dragging her back to the villa.
After her failed escape, Luo Youran was beyond frustrated. If she could, she'd tear Xi Muchen apart piece by piece.
"Miss Luo, don't waste your efforts. Without the young master's permission, you won't get away!" Mr. Wang advised, trying to save her from futile attempts.
"Is that so?" Luo Youran was not one to back down easily. Since joining the mercenaries, she'd faced countless crises and always managed to come out on top. She refused to believe she couldn't handle Xi Muchen.
Seeing her determination, Mr. Wang quietly walked away. He'd said all he could, and if Luo Youran wouldn't listen, there was nothing more he could do.
"Hmph, that jerk Xi Muchen doesn't have three heads and six arms. I refuse to believe I can't escape!" Back in her room, Luo Youran lay on the bed, fuming.
Ever since Xi Muchen had imprisoned her in the villa, she hadn't given up on escaping.
The next morning, when Luo Youran came downstairs for breakfast, Xi Muchen had already finished and was lounging on the sofa, leisurely reading the newspaper. She silently cursed him in her mind before pushing down her anger and starting her meal.
Half an hour later, Mr. Wang hurried in, looking anxious. After whispering something to Xi Muchen, his expression turned dark.
"Come with me," Xi Muchen ordered, his face cold as he took most of his trusted men with him.
From his tone and demeanor, Luo Youran guessed he was facing a difficult situation that required immediate attention.
"Here's my chance!" Normally, the mansion was swarming with bodyguards, and Luo Youran had tried several times to leave without success. But now, with Xi Muchen taking so many people with him, Luo Youran finally had an opportunity to escape.
She watched Xi Muchen walk away, then immediately smashed the teacup in front of her. Grabbing a shard of glass to use as a weapon, she prepared to make her move. The bodyguards in the mansion, hearing the sound of the breaking teacup, all turned their attention to Luo Youran...
