C9 Are You Blind?

At 7:30 in the morning, a knock sounded on Luo Youran's bedroom door.

She heard the noise and instantly opened her eyes. "Who is it?"

Luo Youran's status didn't allow her to let her guard down.

"I'm here to bring you breakfast," came the indifferent voice of a servant from the other side of the door.

"Breakfast!" A sharp glint flashed in Luo Youran's clear, captivating eyes. "I don't like eating in my bedroom!"

After quickly freshening up, Luo Youran opened the door, but the servant was already gone. She ran a hand through her hair and leisurely made her way downstairs.

In the dining room, Xi Muchen was elegantly enjoying his breakfast. Luo Youran's lips curled into a charming smile as she slowly approached him.

When they were about three feet apart, Luo Youran swiftly launched an attack. Xi Muchen didn't get up; he simply raised a hand to counter her move. With a quick motion, he pinned Luo Youran against the dining table.

Her eyes narrowed as she kicked his hand away and swiftly flipped off the table.

"Want to work out first thing in the morning? Looks like you slept well last night!" Xi Muchen said with a confident, carefree air as he stood up, grabbing her leg and pressing her back onto the table.

His movements were smooth and fluid. Just as Luo Youran was about to strike back, she realized she had already lost the advantage.

"You should give up trying to ambush me; you're no match for me!" Xi Muchen said with a mischievous smile. "Of course, if you enjoy throwing yourself at me, I'm happy to oblige!"

"Get lost!" Luo Youran snapped, her cheeks flushed with anger, though a hint of color touched her otherwise cold eyes.

"Looks like if I don't do something, you won't give up," Xi Muchen murmured, leaning in to brush a kiss against the corner of her lips. "Consider this a warning. Next time I catch you, it won't be just a kiss..."

Xi Muchen's dark eyes glinted with a hint of mischief as he released Luo Youran. Furious from his repeated advances, Luo Youran, now free, launched another attack on Xi Muchen.

"You stubborn little wildcat!" Xi Muchen's cool, indifferent face showed a faint smile. His moves were unpredictable and cunning, leaving Luo Youran no match for him. The outcome was inevitable...

"You jerk, I will defeat you!" Luo Youran, thrown back into her room, kicked the door in frustration. Known for her strong-willed nature, she never backed down easily. Losing repeatedly to Xi Muchen was something she couldn't accept.

No one could manipulate her and get away with it, and Xi Muchen was no exception! His actions had ignited Luo Youran's fierce competitive spirit, and a firm resolve filled her mind: to defeat him.

That night, Luo Youran moved like a ghost through the mansion. She was determined to retrieve the hidden weapons Xi Muchen had confiscated. Since becoming the leader of a mercenary group, these weapons had been one of her key advantages.

Despite several encounters with Xi Muchen, she had always been at a disadvantage, making her even more desperate to recover her weapons. The mansion, spanning over 6,500 square feet, was surrounded by a garden in full bloom, a sight to behold. The dense trees in the garden provided good cover but also made it easy to be spotted.

After circling the mansion, she still couldn't find a way to escape. Since being brought here, she had lost contact with her mercenary group and feared for their safety. Anxious to reunite with her team, she was eager to find a way out.

The mansion was heavily guarded. After surveying the area, Youran realized there was no way she could escape without alerting Muchen. His men were armed, making her chances of getting out slim to none.

Since escaping wasn't an option for now, she needed to find her confiscated weapons. With the right tools, Youran could stand a chance against Muchen.

Using her agility, she moved stealthily through the mansion. Unfortunately, despite searching most of the rooms and potential hiding spots, her weapons were nowhere to be found.

"Damn it, where did that jerk hide my stuff?" Youran muttered in frustration after slipping out of a guest room.

She had searched nearly everywhere with no luck. Then it hit her—Muchen's room. The most dangerous place might also be the safest. Muchen was a man of mystery, and his hiding spots would be just as unconventional.

With a plan in mind, Youran pulled out a thin wire she had found and picked the lock to Muchen's room. Muchen, a man who had survived countless traps, was a light sleeper. As she worked on the lock, he was already awake.

Once inside, Youran moved quietly, searching for her hidden weapons. After checking the wardrobe, she tiptoed to the inner room and spotted two long cabinets. Without hesitation, she opened the one on the left.

Suddenly, Muchen turned in his sleep, causing Youran to freeze. She watched him intently, but he remained asleep, breathing evenly. Taking a deep breath, Youran focused on finding what she needed.

Two minutes later, Youran finished searching the cabinets on the left side, finding mostly Xi Muchen's personal items.

"Unbelievable! Where on earth did that jerk Xi Muchen hide my weapon?" Youran fumed internally, mentally cursing his entire family.
