C29 Chapter 29

The family sat in the front room for a long time. In the end, Mrs. Wang was the first to speak. “Yongxing, go pack up. Take Chongniang with you to Lee Village.”

Lee Village was where Lee Chongniang’s family lived. By wagon, it was a little over an hour each way; on foot, at least two to three hours.

Right now, they probably couldn’t leave by wagon. They’d have to walk to the next village first
