There is a knock at the door. Sarah sits quietly in her office as she flips through the document in front of her.

Come in!

She replied without changing position or looking up at the person coming in. Nobody would want to look for her except Alice. Her office is like a forbidden zone for everyone

Alice walked in quickly and quietly as she closed the door behind her.

"The conference room is already filled with the board members and they are ready for you ma"

Sarah who is still looking through the document raised her head gently. Did everyone come already?

Yes ma, Alice replied almost immediately

Sarah raised the corner of her mouth as she smiled with contempt. Well, a show is about to begin, don't you think Alice

Alice just nod her head in agreement

It's good that they all came, now it's time for a good show, why don't we go and not waste their time.

Sarah looked up at Alice with a smile that isn't a smile. She signaled her to talk

The boss mother is outside the door, but her mood is very bad and she says she has to see you, like right now

Sarah did not talk for a while then she went back to her seat and sat back. Bring her in and stay close

Alice rushed out and brought back Mrs Desmond within a minute and also rushed out almost immediately

Do you still have any respect for me Sarah? Mrs Desmond screamed as she pointed at Sarah

What have I done this time mum? You are getting old you should reduce the way you shout

Did you just call me old, Sarah you dare call me old. I will show you how old I can be today. She rushed towards Sarah but suddenly stopped abruptly

Sarah did not move an inch from her seat but that cold glare could send anyone off the building. She didn't spare her mother this time. Mrs Desmond could act irrational if not tamed

"You should sit to talk mum, why are you here?"

Mrs Desmond could only obediently sit, she knows when Sarah has reached her limit of patience

I spoke to your mother in law, she said you didn't reach out to her at all. More importantly that your husband is applying into your company, if you can put a word or two to help him

I know you can employ him without any interview but why haven't you told him and his family that you are the CEO?

Sarah knocked on the table for a few times before speaking. I will let them know when the time is right

Sarah walked towards her and held her hand. Let him compete with others fairly, only that way will he appreciate getting the job, I have helped him to get someone to help him learn more. That's all I can do for him

She helped Mrs Desmond stand up and walked her to the door. I will go look for my in laws before the weekend and you can call me next time for something this little
