I looked around the room for the first time and I noticed it was very spacious it reminded me of the room I shared with my siblings back at home.

I wondered why he lived in a two or possibly three bedroom flat alone. He had picture frames of himself placed on the walls of the room. I took one of them which included an older woman which looked like him, it would probably be his mom I thought. The frame mistakenly slipped from my hand , fell and has a little crack. Before I could pick it up Daniel was already in d room, he picked it up and placed it where it was.

"I'm sorry" I said shyly.

"It's okay dear, good morning, hope you had a wonderful night rest" he replied taking my hand.

"Of course" I said. The memory of last night flooded my thoughts and I blushed.

" I...emm, I prepared something you would eat before going back this morning, hope you don't mind? He asked.

"I'm not hungry, but I wouldn't want to waste your effort either" I said smiling at him.

"Awwn, I'm very grateful milady accepted to eat my food, he said teasingly I went through a lot making that you know, it's rice and stew".

"Wow, my favourite".

Then he led me to the kitchen and dished out some food. It was very nice I must say. I had ways dreamt of getting married to a good cook 'cos I hated cooking.

"Hope you like it" he asked not looking up from his food.

"Of course It's so tasty".

"Glad you like it" he said beaming with smiles. About last night, I...

Before he could finish it up I cut him up.

"What about last night" I asked.

"It was the best feeling I've had in a long time, I think I have feelings for you, I know it's too sudden and all that but that's the truth" he said not breaking any contact with me as he looked me in the eye,with the look of his face, I knew he meant it.

I almost choked in the food, I was speechless, this was the first time a guy was confessing his feelings for me and I didn't even know how to react to it. What was I even supposed to say?

"Emm...i, I don't know what to say" I stammered.

"You don't have to say anything, mira, but I really mean what I said" he said.

"I have to go now, let's talk about this some other time, I said standing up and heading towards the door, I didn't even know where I was going.

"But you'd have to change into your clothes, bet u don't want to go on with that big shirt you are wearing, although you look very cute in it" he said laughing.

It just dawned to me that I was still wearing his clothes. Then he stood up from the table, went and go to my dresses from wherever he had kept it led me to the room, where I changed into them.

"I've already ordered Uber, it's almost close".

"Alright" I said not looking at his face.

"Call me when you get back to the hostel, he hesitated before adding 'please give what I told you a thought.

When I got to the hostel, my roommates were around and my bunk mate had even resumed. We were now complete in the roo. As I stepped into the room my roommates jumped at me smiling mischievously.

"Tell me where did you spend your night? Bolu asked grinning.

"Awwwn did you go to your boyfriend's place?Ashley added grabbing my hands she was smiling has if she had gotten a contract. I couldn't help but burst into laughter.

"Let me be, let me say hi to my bunky first, good morning bunky, I'm Mirabel your bunk mate" I said ignoring Ashley and the other girl.

"Good morning, I'm chioma, nice meeting you. I came yesterday o, I've been asking after you" she said. She looked older than us all in the room, she was very fair and tall, infact her height was kind of intimidating became I wasn't tall. I studied her for few seconds before speaking up.

" Oh really, I went somewhere yesterday and couldn't make it because of the rain" I added.

"Just say you slept over at your boyfriend's place you won't die" bolu added slumping on her bed.

"Not boyfriend, or maybe potential boyfriend". I said smiling.

"Seriously? Bolu asked, her eyes wide.

So I decided to open up to them, after all there was just nothing to hide, we were all girls and it was not as if they'd report me to my dad, I thought laughing at the idea.

"Ok there's this guy I just met, we've gone out twice and I've gotten to know him a little sha, we are just friends, but he wants something more, and he said he has feelings for me, but I just want to take things slowly".

"Awwwn, God when!" Bolu exclaimed happily as if it was the first time she was hearing this kind of stuff, she just liked being dramatic.

"Does he have money? Ashley asked looking up from her phone.

"That's nice, but you have to get to know him more first, before taking him serious, wish you good luck" my bunky said. She was just the only resonable, serious minded person here.

"Thank you, I replied. I don't know if he has money, I'm not in his pocket and besides I wouldn't date him for his money, I said turning to Ashley.

"So do you like him? They chorused almost at the same time and then laughed at it.

"I think I'm beginning to" I answered. And that was just the truth.

My phone rang and it was my dad calling. He told me how he already missed me and how I should take my studies seriously without any distraction. When I asked him about mom he told me she was not that fine but I shouldn't worry about it and just face my studies and always remember to pray. As if by intuition or by the was dad sounded I knew everything was not that fine.

"Dad is everything okay? I asked worriedly.

"Just do as I said, and don't forget to call home, bye" and then he hanged up. That was why I was not to close with my dad, he talked to us including my mom sometimes as if he was talking to his military subordinates and he always wanted us to see him strong and never wanted anyone to see his weakness.

Since I was little we never had any father, daughter intimate conversation and it had been like that. Everyone at home saw him as a demigod, and my only brother even gave him the name 'Thor' which was the name of a superhero who fought with hammer and lightening, stating that my dad's scold was like lightening and he was ready to smash anyone who dared to go against his instructions with his Hammer. We always made fun with it when we were together.

I would have to call Mom myself later. My roommates noticed my countenance had changed and asked if everything was okay, I nodded.

I thought about what dad had said about me removing every distraction and facing my studies. And then I thought of Daniel, was he a kind of distraction, I'll just handle everything in my own way and make sure nothing comes between me and my studies I shrugged.

Daniel woke up from his siesta at about 4pm, he had been expecting to get a call from Mira but he didn't see any. He found out he was already missing her.

He was getting used to her so much that only the image of her was on his mind. "I'm just going to take everything slowly so I won't mess it up'.

Who would know he was going to fall so hard for someone he just met for barely one month. She was just too adorable and irresistible and also smart. She looked so innocent and he loved the way she made him feel. A call came in and it was his mom, he frowned.

"Good evening mom, wasn't expecting your calls" he said.

" Evening son, you should always expect your mom's call anytime and any day, aren't you my son, no matter how you've grown up or changed you are still my little Danny. How are you doing"?

"I am fine" he replied Daniel loved his mom so much, she was the only one that seems to understand him. His dad was just the opposite, always wanting everyone to do as he wished. He didn't care a bit about how anybody felt.

The trouble between him and his dad had started when he was through with is secondary school education and had wanted to study engineering, he had insisted that he would study no other course but medicine.

Daniel had refused and went on to apply for his dream course and his dad refused to sponsor him in school. When his father told him that he wasn't going to pay any dime if he studied engineering he had thought it was a joke until he refused to pay his acceptance fee when he was admitted into the university.

His mom was the one who supported and did everything. They were very wealthy, his father had shares in different companies and owned shopping malls in different states, he was a well known business man.

Since then his relationship with his dad had turned very sour that he even refused to go home during the holiday. Daniel had then vowed to sponsor himself in the university and engaged in some illegal work because his father found out his mom was sponsoring him.

And it made them have a very big issue. He didn't want to be the cause of the fight between his parents so he had also stopped his mom from doing so. His dad had thought he'd come back to beg him but it has been almost four years now.

"I miss you Daniel, your dad also misses you I know that, but pride won't let him do anything, when are u coming home, he has not been too fine lately" she added.

"Mom you know that's not true, about dad missing me but I don't want to talk about that now, how are you doing??

"I'm okay, when are you coming home? She repeated.

"On December I guess" he answered reluctantly.
