C18 The Murderer Was Identified

He gathered his thoughts and said slowly, "Although the Lan Ruo Temple and Chu Qing Temple have been arguing about orthodoxy for many years, but the previous generation of host was on good terms with each other."

"Senior Brother Lanruo and I have been writing letters nonstop all year round, until my senior apprentice brother has reached the end of his life. I arranged his relics and found an old letter from many years ago, which said that he had just entered the temple."

He said slowly, "Master Crossing was once a member of the great army."

Hearing the two words "Vast Army", Li Lang's mind went blank, and his facial expression changed drastically.

Seeing his reaction, Du Ku said, "It seems that benefactor only has a strong army, so I won't say much. As for Miao Zhen's murder, I can only say that he is a pitiful person."

After he finished speaking, he let out a long sigh. His expression was sad.

"Thank you, Great Master, for answering my doubts. I will take my leave now."

Yu Yang was still in the clouds, and Li Zheng had already pulled him away.

Li Cheng was very clear on how many things Master Du Ku's words contained, so he stopped there and did not ask for more information, thus he bid Master Du Ku farewell and left.

The Lanruo Temple accepted the Vast Expanse Army, and even became the abbot. As a monk of the Chu and Green Temple, it was really inconvenient for him to say more.

From then on, the scattered clues in Li Cheng's mind began to form a chain.

Exiting the door, Yu Yang asked: "Is the Wealthy Class Army that terrifying?"

Li Cheng forced a smile. "It's better than nothing."

"Oh, then I won't ask anymore. I don't even want to know about the Dark Brain Injury Scripture."

Li Lang let out a long sigh as he looked into the distance and whispered, "Sometimes, only by standing in the dark can one truly be clear."

Li Lang came back from the Northern Zen Courtyard and went straight to the meditation room where Zen Master Wu lived. He stayed there for a full hour, and no one knew what he was doing inside.

After exiting the room, he swapped places with the young monk who accompanied him to the back mountain. After struggling for a long time, the young monk finally walked into the distance. It was unknown what he had instructed the young monk to do.

The next day, when the conference was going to be held, the crowd gathered at night for one reason only. Li Zheng said he had found the murderer.

In the main hall of the Lanruo Temple, the high ranking monks of the Temple of Chu, Qing, and Lanruo Temple were all present.

"A few days ago, I accompanied the Yu Family's Second Young Master to the Lanruo Temple. Recently, two of the Lanruo Temple's esteemed monks have passed away one after another, which is a pity. Master Meng Du'E entrusted us with the investigation of the culprit's death, so we did not dare slack off. After a few days of investigation, we have basically confirmed the culprit, so we have invited several grandmasters to come here tonight to bear witness."

The few masters nodded their heads, and only Master Ku could not help but sigh. In the end, he was still unable to keep this a secret.

"Let's start with the Zen Master Shuiyu, the day before yesterday, when Zen Master Shuiyi was being lonely, I checked his meditation room, and found a pair of shoes covered in dried mud, Zen Master Shuiyi's body was not well, and usually did not travel too far, and the four meditation halls of the Lanruo Temple were paved with bluestone, so these mud shoes became the first break, after asking a little monk, I learned that the mud grass on the shoes was probably contaminated at the back of the mountain, following the trail, I finally found a cave in an extremely remote place in the back mountain."

The cave was empty, except for the many notches on the walls that varied in depth over time, most of them very old, and some of them even had moss growing on them, and I only saw a pattern carved not long ago in one place, a strange circular pattern, like some kind of totem. Then I remembered that when Yu Yang examined the old Zen master's body, he had found a scald scar, about the size of a baby's fist, at the base of his arm.

He took a deep breath and continued, "Since Grandmaster Miaoyun's chest suffered a heavy blow without any signs of struggling or running, then he must have recognized the person who attacked him. Or perhaps he thinks that this person has no ill intentions towards him, or even if this person has ill intentions toward him, he does not wish to resist.

As he spoke, he pointed to the young monk who had brought him and Yu Yang to the back of the mountain yesterday, and continued, "Yesterday, this young monk had told me that he had seen Zen Master Du E acting weirdly in the middle of the night.

Li Cheng looked at the always timid little monk and smiled, "It's just that Zen Master Crossing Disaster is not suffering from a nocturnal wandering disease, but from a soul-leaving disease!"
