It is now tuesday morning.

IT's alarm goes on and she stops it but turns over to the other side of the bed to continue her sleep.

She probably doesn't have class today or purposely wants to be absent. The idea of missing out on anything pertaining to my academics in my fresher man year doesn't sit well with me..so i get dressed, lay my hair edges properly till I'm satisfied and hang my bag over my shoulder.

By now, priscy is still busy preparing noodles but I cant just wait for her to get done as I have the nature of always being punctual to school since I was in basic school.

Yes, my parent definitely had a hand in that cause they always wanted me to be the perfect little renee everyone admires and when i got to high school.

Our fence backyard was the only boundary from my school so we were basically like backyard neighbors with my high school, so how could I ever be late at such.

"If any lecturer comes before I get to class, please dont forget to include my name on the attendance sheet and pick a seat for meee!!!" Priscy was screaming at the top of her voice

I got to lt1 and to my much amusement, the class was pretty fuller than i had expected.

Though I knew I was going to see people that are early birds as I am but I wasnt hoping to see people present this early..it was just 7.30 in the morning and our class is supposed to begin by 8.

"Renee!"


"Ohh heyy..."it was zana who called, besides him was seated Jayy who by now turned to me smiling and telling me to come over and have a seat beside him.

"Good morning"i said

"Babyy"

If I just heard him correctly...alreadyyy? My subconscious was astounded but outwardly I was smiling as I saw his mouth sync with a how was your night.

"Long and warm" i replied.

I sat between him and Zana.


Now turning to Zana, "I wasn't thinking the class was going to be this full so early"

"Everyone wants to be impersonated as a serious student but i bet the zeal would drop in a thousand before a month time" we both chuckled to what he said.

I looked down at my wrist watch, it was already 8.30, it was a double period class but the lecturer was still absent...I feel thats a poor impression from them.

" you have somewhere to go?" Zana asked

"Ohh mee.. noo... where's the lecturer though"

"I guess they have so much freedom to do as they please"he answered with a grin. How adorable, I thought.

Now it was few minutes past nine, and still no one to lecture us..some students had already grown impatient and left the class while some went out leaving their bags..obviously those ones would come back to their seats.

"So what department?"i asked, going through my snapchat memories.

"Geology"

"Computer science"

Both response..thats when i turned left right. "Ohh okayy"

I got it though, zana in geology while jayy in csc but the question was meant for zana though. Anyways..whatever...

Three more people just left their seats in our row carrying their bags along with them and just then, Violet and priscy walked in from the right side of the row.

"Good morning fam"violet

"Heyy yo" Priscy smiling and waving slightly.

We responded and they got to take their seats besides us where those people just left.


 There was one seat left beside Violet and she placed her bag on it..she was probably waiting for someone.

"You're a sexy nerd you know that right?"

That was jayy

Wait what? Was that for me, I turned to him swiftly and thankfully he was facing priscy who was by now smiling and chatting with him. I mean renee can you calm down...I thought to myself.

Time gradually passed..it was now evening...I and the girls in the room decided to go out to fetch something edible just few minutes after Priscy got off a video call with her boyfriend. I got to learn she was in a distance relationship with a guy,a final year student in caleb university...sounded like she had things under control and in her way..seemed nice I wouldn't lie..

We got out of hostel and paulette and Danielle diverted their ways from us.

They were heading to the shopping complex besides faculty of law while Priscy and I were going to meet Violet at the cafeteria.

We just reached there and sighted violet gisting with a guy facing us backwards. She looked shy as he advanced for her hand on the table and gently turned her palm upwards as he was rubbing it somewhat romantically, how could I have missed that.

Who could be making Violet blush so deep though..my subconscious doing what she was good at..I walked faster than normal but not too fast for priscy to have noticed my eagerness.

Suprised for what? I wasn't but it occurred to me something was fishy here. Like why the hell was Violet seeing this guy when the other day I saw the way Priscy was overly comfortable around him at the shopping complex. Only time can tell, I thought to myself.

"When you hold me in the streee... 🎶 my secret love song ringtone was going on my phone and i checked to see my dad calling.
