"Hello..."

his response wasnt clear..obviously I have to leave here..the loud music buzzing in the air in this cafeteria was another problem on it's own.

Heaven knows I miss this man so damn much.

I quickly stroll out and we have our little chit chat on the phone and in no time we're done..

"Heyy"i walk back to the table after about forty five minutes from making that call.

They were already eating but the guy was already done with his and was holding on to his cola bottle.

I walked down to the sales girl to make an order..

"What may i offer you"

"Fried rice, plantain, beef and assorted meat with bottle water" in about twenty seconds...

I was handed a tray of my order and i was now carrying it carefully watching my steps so as not to trip and make a mess of myself..I hated embarrassment for sure.

I remember when i was in basic school and my friend, marvella kicked me in my pubic side...I couldn't cry out loud out of shame and I couldn't place my hands on it. She was deeply sorry but what does sorry changes. Girll,i was in pains. And just at that moment, Dapo a boy who's seat was next to mine ... "renee..." I didnt even realize I was almost in tears thinking of that moment when my foot hit something had...or is it the other one that happened when I was in primary school three and my class teacher flogged my butt.. I cried home and my mum got to find out why..she dragged me and hurried back to school...started quarelling with the teacher in no time...other teachers came over and my mum raised my dress..brought down my panties and showed them my swollen butt..like she actually showed the whole adults and some of my classmates a great show...I wailed the more not because I was pained but I had to walk ashame the rest of the term in school....surprisingly, the whole drama dropped dead by the next day..no one uttered a word of it...so you see..I've always been a lil fan of over thinking.

My path was blocked, by what? A foot!

The hell I could have tripped and everything going on in my head just this minute would have turned out to be reality part 20!!

My eyes rapidly traced the foot to the same guy!

Now I was giving him the brows of "???"

"Renee" oh shit..he was the one that called me a second ago but i thought i was...holy shit...too many room for thoughts that I even forget myself

"If you may kindly excuse me...or you could borrow my glasses if you cant see properly"i said as gently and as unvexed as possible .

"Oh c'mon Drew"

" leave the poor girl alone"violet told him

He flexed his leg backwards with eyes still fixed on me and lips as tight as ever.

Oh Drew is the name. Of course!

I ate my meal in awkward silence or I was just the quiet one after what just happened...when I was done I took out my phone and viewed people's status on whatsapp to keep me distracted from whatever was going on with the others.

"Temisan!!" Priscy called and I turned to see who she referred to.

They gave each other a warm short hug.

"Heyy guys, meet my cousin, Temisan..final year student of accounting"

Wow...looks like Priscy has a thing or form of connection with final year students..

she already told me something about being only attracted to way older guys but then it doesnt look like it in reality cause even a blind person would obviously know she and Drew had a thing.

"Hii Temisan..I'm renee"

He reaches out for my hand..his palms are quite warm

And the introduction goes on that way with the others.

"Are you getting food or you came to see someone?" Priscy questions

" nahh...i already ate..I'm heading back to hostel"

"Ohh good...let me escort you then"

"I'm coming back soon guys... dont leave me alone please" priscy pleas

Of course we weren't going to do that especially not me, I dont like the idea of walking alone in this big intimidating school.

Violet phone buzzes, I think she has an incoming call..she quickly gulps down water and used her tissue then stands to pick her call...and raising a finger indicating she'd be back soonest.

Wow..so its me with the tall guy huh...

I'm bored already and slightly uncomfortable as I move my iris to him and catch him staring at me like he's about to devour me.

What's with this guy though.

I look away and plug my earphones in my ear...though i wasn't listening to any music but you know I wanted to make him feel I didn't care about his presence

"Such a shy child..so cute" he grins

I wanted to slap this one in his medulla at this instance.

Still acting like I wasn't hearing...he rests his arms on the table and lifts himself slightly with his face pushed forward at me grinning the more

"C'mon, can't we just be..."

"What!? Friends!?" I cut him off

" well i dont see a reason we cannot"he states

I just shake my head unperturbed and just then violet walks right at us

"What did i miss?"

I look away from him and hoof as a tiny length of my hair falling on my lips flies to the side of my face.
