Chapter Four

Alessandro.

(We shall see)

I lazily flipped through the pages of the file in front of me. Sebastian had run a full background check on the new nanny. There was nothing catchy or interesting about this girl.

She had been fired from her previous jobs for different reasons. That was suspicious.

She had two best friends and has no close family members. She lost her father recently and lived alone.

No current boyfriend or ex boyfriend. No record of any relationship. No wonder she reacted that way to breastfeeding my son.

Everything about this girl puzzled me. She almost irritated me actually, with that blond hair and shy attitude.

If not that Matteo seemed relaxed with her, I would have deemed her totally useless and unfit for the job.

I would just have to wait and see how this journey goes.

Victoria

I was currently packing up my clothes and stuff I'd need for my new job. Mr Rossi said he needed me there 24/7 all the time.

He must really love his baby, I thought.

“Take the blue one, it's sexier”. I had forgotten that Grace and Simon were here.

I threw Grace a weird look before replying.

“I'm there to work you know”. I was packing my nightgown into my box.

“Shut up Grace, she's not even his type”. Simon responded from the couch. Ouch.

“So I'm not pretty enough to catch the eye of a wealthy man?”. I asked him while flipping my hair to the side, trying to look seductive.

Simon's eyes darken before he looks away still typing away on his phone. Grace nudges him by the side.

“Victoria is a beautiful woman, shut up Simon”.

“Yeah she is, but he's a billionaire who I'm sure is into more surgically enhanced bodies and stuff. Vicky is not that endowed we all know”. He said the last part, winking and looking at my chest.

“You pervert!”. I crossed my hand over my chest and threw my pillow at him.

“Get out Simon!” Grace screeched pointing her manicured finger towards the door.

“FYI Simon, if he wanted me to breastfeed his baby he must have loved my goodies”. I finished off by gesturing to my chest.

“No way!”. Grace laughed while covering her mouth.

“Eww”. Simon looked genuinely disgusted.

“Shush”

My phone rang and I looked at the lit up screen.

“Shit! It's Mr Rossi”. I had forgotten I needed to be early.

“He has your number?” Simon quizzed as Grace slapped him over the head.

“Shush, he's her boss”. Grace said, playing her index finger on her lips.

“Miss Abbot?”. His rich deep voice came over the line.

“Sir?”

“You're late Miss Abbot, my son needs you”.

“I'm so sorry sir, I'm on my way”.

The line just went dead.

“That was intense”. Grace breathed out

“He's just another rich asshole”. Simon said, rolling his eyes.

“I'm so sorry guys, I have to be at the mansion soon”.

—--------------

I walked into the hall in the mansion dragging my suitcase along. There was nobody in sight.

I could hear light singing from the kitchen, so I left my luggage in the hall and carefully made my way into the kitchen.

“Hello?”

An older woman turned, startled at the sound of my voice.

“Hi, I'm Victoria the new nanny”. I stretched my hand out for a handshake.

The old lady looked at me for a while before her lips stretched out into a wide smile and she enveloped me in a warm hug.

“Hello dear, I'm Mary the cook”. She said while rubbing my back kindly.

“Nice to meet you, Miss Mary”. I said shyly.

“Nonsense child, call me Mary”.

“Okay”

“Are you just arriving?”

“Yes”

“Let me take you to your room”

“Uhmmm, Mary, can I see Mr Rossi first?”. I said playing with the fraying end of my worn out sweater.

“Sure dear, just take the stairs, walk down the hall and knock on the last door on the left”. I tried to remember the directions.

“Thank you”.

“I'll just take your things up to your room, it's right in front of the nursery next to Mr Rossi's”.

My steps halted at the last statement.

“It's next to Mr Rossi's?”

“Yes dear, you see Mr Rossi's room is right in front of the nursery so it's easier for him to check on the baby, and since you're the nanny, he ordered we prepare the room next to the young master's”.

She finished off, drying her hand with a towel and removing her apron.

“Okay”. I continued on my journey to Mr Rossi's office.

I managed to find my way to the huge mahogany door I've been in before. I raised my hand and knocked.

“Come in”. He sounded angry.

I walked in to find the cutest scene I have ever seen. Mr Rossi sat on the couch in his office reading a book while the baby laid face down on his thighs sleeping.

I took notice of their appearance. Mr Rossi only had sweatpants on, he didn't have a shirt on while the baby was sleeping in his onesie. I averted my eyes from my boss’ naked chest.

“Are you going to stand there mutely for the rest of the day, you might as well leave”.

At this point, Mr Rossi looked like he would have blown my head off if he had a gun, thank God he was an upright businessman and not a thug.

“I'm so sorry sir for the lateness, I completely lost track of time”. I approached them carefully.

He still eyed me with apprehension, he must really hate me. I didn't like the way this man looked at me.

“You can take him, be careful, he's been crying since morning and just fell asleep not too long ago”. He closed the book as I slowly and carefully carried the baby.

He got up and I forced my eyes to stay on his face but I failed miserably.

His body was incredible. He was very fit and toned. My eyes looked over every tattoo that graced his fabulous body.

He had what looked like the wings of a phoenix drawn on his back covering almost every inch of his back.

His chest had the word “DIAVOLO” written boldly on it. The tattoo sitting on his chest written in red ink, looked very scary.

I looked over at the other little tattoos littered over his body. His naked skin looked like a canvas for a psychotic artist.

It's a good thing he wore shirts and suits to work else he would have looked nothing like an upright businessman.

I looked at his back as he arranged stuff on his desk and something occurred to me, it's midday and he was at home.

The baby must have made him miss work. I felt really bad, this was my fault.

“Can I help you with anything else, miss Abbot?”.

His gruff voice snapped me out of my trance. I looked up at him as he stood with his arms folded over his chest which made his muscles bulge out.

“Uhh uhhh no–nothing sir”. He arched a brow at me and gestured at the door with his head.

I was so embarrassed, this man would not hesitate to throw me out if I ever acted unprofessionally with him.

“I'll leave now”.

“As you should miss Abbot”.

Yikes………
