C51 How Is It? Are You Not Scared to Death?

Sansada Kyun was a neutral figure, yet he held considerable renown in the Grass Country. Even the Grass Kage would have to address him with deference as "Mr. Sansada." His presence here was a mystery, but that was not the pressing issue at hand. With Sansada Kyun stepping in, both Chu Koichi and Komori Daisei promptly fell in line.

The two exchanged fierce glares before separating to await Sansada Kyun's direction for the contest. Yang Ming observed the scene in silence.

"Now that both parties are present and have summoned their support, let's commence," Sansada Kyun declared. "The rightful claim to these medicinal herbs will be determined by strength—the victor takes all, and the defeated will leave of their own accord."

"Of course, in keeping with the spirit of harmony and prosperity, I urge everyone to avoid conflict if possible. Thus, the competition will consist of two parts: a civil contest and a martial contest."

"The civil contest involves showcasing your utmost power and demonstrating your might. If neither side yields, then we escalate to a duel to the death."

"A civil and a martial contest?" Yang Ming inwardly nodded in approval. Sansada Kyun's approach was exceptionally wise. Assessing each other's capabilities before the clash meant that even a death in battle would be without dispute, as strengths had been revealed beforehand. This strategy would prevent either side from taking offense and ensure the situation was handled adeptly.

"Very well, Mr. Sansada's approach is commendable. Let him oversee the proceedings. I will engage personally on my behalf, while Chu Koichi may choose any representative. But be warned, if you send that five-year-old to his demise, expect no mercy from me. I, Komori Daisei, have never been one to hold back."

Komori Daisei's agreement was swift, his gaze shifting to Chu Koichi and lingering on Yang Ming with a chilling flash in his eyes. The rogue ninja survived by their wits, employing brutal and ruthless tactics—a necessity to endure in the Ninja World.

Chu Koichi was well aware of the situation, and the thought alone filled him with concern.

Yang Ming was a prodigy in the eyes of the Grass Kage. Any harm coming to him here would be a loss beyond repair!

With this in mind, Chu Koichi's face soured, his worry evident. He remained silent.

"Heh!"

Komori Daisei let out a mocking sneer, gripping his long blade as he approached a massive rock weighing a ton.

"I'll take the lead!"

With that declaration, he grasped his long blade tightly, his concentration peaking. In an instant, his essence, energy, and spirit converged on the blade.

With a fierce cry, he lifted his blade high!

A streak of light, swift as a shooting star, sliced upward!

"Boom!"

The sound of thunder roared as the blade cleaved through the rock, shattering the massive stone into fragments.

Such was the might of his blade, sharp and unstoppable!

"This..."

Chu Koichi was taken aback by the display.

Surely, even a Junior Ninja couldn't unleash such destructive force!

The strength wielded by Komori Daisei, the blade in hand, was formidable indeed.

"Not bad at all. Komori Daisei truly lives up to his reputation as the leader of his clan. His blade work is that of a master swordsman. He's far surpassed the level of a Junior Ninja—his prowess is on par with that of a Journeyman Ninja!"

Sanita, witnessing the feat, couldn't help but nod in admiration, lavishing praise upon Komori Daisei's skill.

"What do you think, Chu Koichi? Scared stiff, are you?"

After executing the powerful strike, Komori Daisei sheathed his blade and stood tall, giving Chu Koichi a chilling smile, his voice dripping with contempt.

"So this is the swordsmanship of the samurai era? Quite remarkable, indeed!"

Meanwhile, Yang Ming, observing the spectacle, had a gleam of recognition in his eyes.
