C98 The Orphanage Gathering Dinner!

All of that could be put off until next year. For now, Yang Ming was ready to savor the sweet taste of leisure.

Having checked in with the Grass Kage, he set off to explore his surroundings.

His first order of business was to find a place to call home.

It was almost comical that he didn't have a place of his own yet.

The orphanage at the village's edge was a distant memory, no longer a place he could consider home.

Upon learning of Yang Ming's intention to establish his own residence, the Grass Kage promptly offered his assistance, but Yang Ming politely declined, preferring to find a place on his own.

Acknowledging Yang Ming's wishes, the Grass Kage stepped back, giving him the freedom to choose.

Anywhere was suitable for building his house, even if it meant relocating the Grass Kage's own quarters. Given Yang Ming's formidable abilities and status, he was more than qualified for such a privilege.

The high-ranking members of the Grass Kage's entourage, having returned from Daming Mansion, had all borne witness to Yang Ming's awe-inspiring power and treated him with the utmost respect.

After touring Grass Village, Yang Ming found an ideal spot in the suburbs and decided to establish his home there.

Grass Kage, not wanting to show any disrespect, generously granted Yang Ming this parcel of land with a mere flourish of his hand.

"Wood Escape: Four-pillar House Technique!"

Yang Ming surveyed the area, then brought his hands together to form a seal, unleashing the Wood Escape Ninja Technique for the very first time. A surge of potent Chakra flowed forth, and in the blink of an eye, a house spanning over two hundred square meters rose from the empty expanse before him.

In less than a second, the house stood complete, its roots entrenched deeply and firmly into the earth—a testament to the unparalleled Ninja Technique for house building.

"From this moment on, this is my home. And Karin, it's yours too."

Yang Ming turned to Karin as he spoke.

"Home?"

Tears welled up in Karin's eyes as she gazed at the newly erected house, nodding at Yang Ming with a look of resolve.

"Mr. Gekka, I promise to keep our home safe," she declared, her expression one of solemn commitment.

Yang Ming chuckled in response, then set about furnishing their new home. In no time at all, it was complete.

In the afternoon, with time to spare, Yang Ming made his way to the Ninja School.

Officially, he was still enrolled there, unable to graduate until reaching a certain age.

This arrangement was part of a discussion with Grass Kage, a strategy to remain inconspicuous and avoid drawing attention.

Inside the classroom, Hino Le was in the midst of her lecture, with every student hanging on her every word.

Katsura Atsuhiro and his peers, in particular, were even more diligent after being bested by Yang Ming.

Yang Ming entered without fanfare, ignoring the stares as he made a beeline for his seat and settled in.

Hino Le caught sight of him, her expression a mix of emotions. She had an inkling of who Yang Ming was—the prodigy Grass Kage had spotted, a Junior Ninja with formidable abilities, someone she dared not cross.

So, she carried on with the lesson without a fuss.

Katsura Atsuhiro and the others shot Yang Ming resentful glances before diving back into their studies, more determined than ever not to squander a single moment.

The rest of the class continued, paying no mind to Yang Ming.

Unbothered, Yang Ming sat quietly at the back of the room, savoring the solitude.

Post-class, the students dispersed, but Guan Shang, Jin Cou, and Jin Mengzi, three orphans from the orphanage, sought out Yang Ming, much to his surprise—they were typically the silent types.

"The orphanage is hosting a dinner tonight, and the director insisted that no one should miss out, especially you. We've been looking for you," Jin Mengzi explained.

"Alright," Yang Ming responded, a flicker of interest in his eyes. He nodded, accepting the invitation.

With no other plans, he decided to revisit his past for the evening.

"Gekka, you really have to come!" Jin Mengzi implored, looking earnestly at Yang Ming.

With that, the trio departed.
