C4 Ridiculous debate Part 1

I was terrified when Mrs. Carla suddenly called me to the teacher's room when the recess bell rang. I feel like something terrible is going to happen to me. I had expected this to happen after yesterday. I skipped class and left school just like that during recess.

"Serena, do you know why I called you?" asked Mrs. Carla, firmly to me.

"Y-Yes, Mrs. This must be because yesterday I skipped class and left school during recess," I answered, lowering my head. I couldn't look at Mrs. Carla's face, who looked annoyed at me.

"Yes, you're right. Why did you do that, Serena? You've never skipped before. Your attitude is always good, and you also always excel. But why did you leave school yesterday during recess?"

"I'm sorry, Mrs."

"Serena, you know the rules at this school are stringent, I don't want your scholarship to be revoked because of this problem." I gasped at Mrs. Carla's words. I never thought the consequences would be this big.

"Tell me what happened yesterday?" I want to be honest with Mrs. Carla, but I don't want to imagine what will happen to Alessia and her two friends if I tell her everything. I don't want my words to cause them to be expelled from this school.

"Serena, answer me." Mrs. Carla sounded increasingly irritated to see my residence. But I need clarification right now. I don't want to harm my classmates even though they are always mean to me.

"Serena, if you don't answer, I will be forced to report this to the Headmaster." Now, fear began to run through my body. I'd never felt this scared before.

"He went with me."

That voice sounded familiar to my ears. I'm sure I know the owner of this voice. I looked at the source of the voice from behind.

"L-Luigi," Mrs. Carla muttered, her face suddenly turning nervous for some reason. Could it be just because she saw Luigi coming?

"Is it true that Serena went out with you yesterday?" asked Mrs Carla, sounding increasingly nervous.

"Yes, I forced her to go with me. So don't punish her."

"Is that true, Serena?" This time, Mrs. Carla asked me. I answered her with a nod.

Mrs. Carla was suddenly stunned, as if she was considering something. Then she, who had looked down, now looked back at me. Her serious face suddenly turned friendly. Mrs. Carla gave a thin smile. "Okay, you may go now."

Mrs. Carla's sudden and awkward words succeeded in surprising me. I don't understand the sudden change in her attitude.

"You won't report this incident to the Headmaster, will you? My scholarship won't be revoked either, right?" I asked, confirming one more time.

Mrs. Carla shook her head, "No. You don't need to worry. You may go, Serena."

Instantly, I breathed a sigh of relief. "Y-Yes, thank you, Mrs."

Even though I was still surprised by the change in Mrs. Carla's attitude after hearing Luigi's words, I also left Mrs. Carla's room. Luigi was still walking before me, and even then, I remembered my intention to meet him today.

"Luigi, wait."

But Luigi ignored my call. He kept walking in front without even turning his head. I need to find out where he's going. My feet keep on following him.

Luigi stopped when he arrived at the rooftop, where Alessia and her two friends bullied me yesterday. He sat on a long chair on the rooftop, and I sat with him, too.

"Why are you following me?" he asked with a frown, which made me suddenly nervous and uncomfortable. It looks like he's awkward that I followed him here.

"Thank you for helping me yesterday and also just now," I said matter-of-factly because this was the reason I followed him, nothing but to thank him for helping me a lot.

"Oh, no need to thank me," he said calmly.

I lowered my head, staring at my ten fingers, squeezing each other. I suddenly wanted to ask something but hesitated, even though I realized this was my chance to say what I wanted to tell him.

"L-Luigi, there are a few things I want to ask you. May I?"

Suddenly, he laughed, making me freeze in place, thinking, what's so funny about my question just now?

"You are very funny huh," he said in between laughs. "Just ask. No need to ask permission."

My heart was beating fast again when I saw him smiling faintly at me. I don't know. I don't understand my feelings. Why do I always get nervous whenever I'm around Luigi?

"What do you want to ask?" he asked, probably because I hadn't made a sound.

"Oh, s-sorry."

He laughed again at my nervousness, and even then, I felt my heart want to jump out of my chest. The effect of its existence is the extraordinary effect on the performance of my heart. Actually, what's wrong with me?

"I wonder why you were allowed in when you came late? The school guard would not have opened the gate if it was another student. Besides, it was the same yesterday. When we left school during recess, the school guard opened the gate and didn't stop us. I'm also surprised that Mrs. Carla's attitude has changed after hearing what you said." In the end, I asked one after another. I'll tell you everything on my mind for a long time.

For several minutes, Luigi was silent, with his eyes fixed on the blue sky that looked bright today.

"They don't dare to reprimand me let alone ban me," Luigi answered all my questions calmly and casually. His gaze was still staring up at the sky.

"How come?"

"Maybe because of my father." Luigi is now looking at me, making me flinch in surprise because now our eyes meet. "It was my father who financed the construction of this school," he added. I'm shocked because I just found out about this.

"Th-Then this school belongs to your father?" I asked without reducing my surprise. If I think about it, I'm pretty stupid for not thinking about this one bit. Even if you look at the motorbike or what Luigi wears, it's clear that he comes from a wealthy family. It makes perfect sense that his father was the biggest donor during the construction of this school. I understand why Luigi always escapes definite punishment because the school respects his father, who is instrumental in this school.

"No. Father donated to this school," answered Luigi.

I nodded as a sign that I now understood everything, including the special treatment of all residents of this school to Luigi. "Hm, no wonder you never get punished even though you often violate school rules. It must be because they respect your father so much," I said.

"Could be, although there may be other reasons."

"Uh, what does that mean?" I asked, not understanding. I hope Luigi will explain what he means by this.

However, Luigi just smiled a little. His voice didn't sound like he wanted to continue his explanation.
