Since they didn't offer sacrifices to their ancestors, why would they lie to us? It didn't seem to be that important.

I remembered why they said they were offering sacrifices to their ancestors today to cover up the fact that they didn't cook lunch. That was what they really wanted to cover up. But is this important? Must I find a reason to cover this up?
